  1. Cig o clock- glad I didn't buy a ticket to this train wreck
  2. How bout a little fire? Since Kyle missed that tackle it's been a ghost town in the stadium
  3. I think it might be worth it to at least investigate using something similar in the NFL. The ejection and being subject to future discipline might deter the behavior. The big addition this year is basically you can't target someone's head and still get the ball on a turnover. That's automatically reviewed as all turnovers are, and if they determine it was illegal the play no longer stands, ejection. It's a very subjective play, but seeing it on replays at least helps point towards more accuracy.
  4. Except when they throw picks in their own territory... twice
  5. Against a team designed to stop that attack. Did they even watch film? This Michigan team has a fierce front 7 Misdirection, reverses, screens... get them to moving the wrong way.
  6. It helps keep the defense on their heels - especially once we were out two of our better playmakers. But i feel what you're saying. Maybe a bit more read-option instead of the triple option stuff.
  7. Just having played some football - it's not uncommon to go back to the huddle and be like - "dude - i was wide open... look at me!"
  8. Do you watch all-22's of any other qbs?
  9. The Clay throw was the one that jumped out to me. Just a total miss. As for his scrambling - i'd like to see the all-22 to see what our WRs do... It's a very strange element to an offense and isn't for everyone. As much as i like All-22, i've always wanted a helmet cam to show me what he's looking at, what he can see through passing windows etc. I think he was bad this past week. But there were certainly plays where literally no one was open. It happened in at least a couple replays from what i recall.
  10. Yeah - you predict it every year so eventually you have to be right. KC is so good in close games over the last few years. Playing with fire. They just find a way to win.
  11. We've been losing close games for like 20 years now. Figure out how to win those. Usually it means a QB who can come back - and a defense that can hold up. We've had teams failing on both sides both this year and in the past. Every time we win one its - we turned a corner. But we never actually turn a corner. Just get lucky once in a while.
  12. What they mean is like - he got 50 of those yards on a failed comeback attempt. Tyrod typically gets a lot of passing yards during his failed comeback attempts. It's not garbage time - but when you lose it didn't really matter.
  13. We do have Cardale - i don't know what our opinion of him is yet. If there's a guy we like - take a shot. But we clearly went upside with Cardale.
  14. Donahoooooooooooooooooooooooooe!!!!!!
  15. I don't know what the price was to move from 13 to 8 where jax was picking - but i assumed a 2nd and a 4th or something? How do you not pull the trigger? Bledsoe was done - we needed a QB to groom and he had everything we wanted. Losman just didn't have "it" - and we all knew it when he was drafted. He was Blaine gabbert before blaine gabbert blaine gabberted his way around the league.
  16. Yeah - you can consider me of little faith. I'd love for the luck to flip our way - but when 3 guys from the 2004 1st round are still starting and all putting up HOF numbers... and we drafted the 4th guy whos out of the NFL... it's a tad deflating And our next 1st round qb... just sucks.
  17. Teams with a 1st round pick starting: Cardinals Falcons Ravens Panthers Bears Lions Packers Colts Chiefs Jags Rams Dolphins Vikings Giants Eagles Steelers Chargers Bucs Titans Remaining teams with 1st round pick on the roster: 49ers Broncos Browns Bills The trend seems to indicate that 1st round picks are more likely to start, and have long careers. Starters outside the 1st: Brady (total outlier) Tyrod Carr (early 2nd - almost a 1st) Dalton (see carr) Kaepernick (also early 2nd) Osweiler (early 2nd) Siemen Dak and Wilson are obvious outliers as well.
  18. The run the ball strat might be good - if we had a dominant defense. I don't think rex can build that... so we're probably never going to be great. He didn't but its like comparing a D and a C-. Neither did much to like... win.
  19. Well our first will be used to replace Gilmore... our 2nd will probably be a safety. But yeah - you're a true fan! You know how it works!
  20. I trust that whaley is a fairly good judge of talent. We've got some value in a bunch of different rounds - he just needs to not fall in love with non-QBs. I just don't want to go all-in on a QB if its another EJ type class. And the top dogs are going in the first 5 picks to the 5 teams that all need QBs. Cleveland might even have 2 picks before us. Just a rough draft to get a top QB. If you think one of the 2nd round guys can be a day 1 starter, obviously pull the trigger. The big problem is we have to show our cards - TT is either on the team or dropped in march, a full 2 months before the draft. If we drop TT, we become a desperate for QB team. If we lose out on cutler/hoyer then we're screwed (probably screwed either way - neither has done much to inspire confidence in the past 6 years). Everyone else in the league will know this - and trade prices will go up, draft trades become trickier, people try to jump us in the 2nd to get a QB ahead of us, etc.
  21. Agreed to a point... Reaching for EJ in a weak QB class because we were looking for a potential stud caused us to miss in the 1st. We salvaged woods/alonso(mccoy) out of that draft, but we could've just drafted BPA or for another need that matched the value of that pick. We needed a receiver - best one available at that time was Hopkins. BPA at draft time was probably shariff floyd - not a need, but we probably could've walked from dareus. But i don't think sitting pat is smart either - when you have 0 can't miss options you need to have a bunch of options to hit.
  22. I dont know about zero... he wasn't on our teams in years 1-4 so i don't really know how bad he was. Very little progress... that's the ticket.
  23. I think he's gotta watch the film on this one and just be in awe of how poorly he played. The Woods one early doesn't bother me as much because its hard to sense pressure, look for a running lane, look down the field, and find your check down. The other 2 pics above are a bit more concerning. He's in a clean pocket... Can he literally not see over his line? If that's the case he needs to learn the brees tip-toes move because it's killing the offense. The key to the tip-toes move is stepping into your throw though, so TT would need to focus on his footwork to execute it properly.
