Zach Brown Sounds Like a Man on a Mission......
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah - that transition tag in general is pretty strange. You know anyone signing him is going to make it hard for you to match. -
All things considered, we can avoid most of the cap charges by avoiding the option bonus. The goal was to have control beyond this year, and not feel inclined to use a franchise tag. In order to get him to sign on the dotted line - we had to throw some dollars his way this year. The dead cap is only 2.8 mil if we release him before the 3rd league day.

Agreed - would def be good for a solid comp pick. Him + woods + gilmore may be a couple 3s or 4s. And considering we don't have a ton of space to sign impact free agents, I'd think we'd want to get all 3 of those picks. Assuming we bottom out next year with still having no QB, limited receivers, and holes on defense, itll be nice to go into the 2018 draft with hopefully a couple of extra picks in those mid rounds. You can trade them now too, so its like having a bit of extra ammo. -
If Rex and Whaley are still here...

To be fair - the last time New Orleans made the playoffs, rob ryan was the DC. The D was ranked 4th in points and yards. -
Not quite a blake bortles windup - but it seems to take a while to get the ball out. I feel like they're bumping receivers to throw off his timing too.

I hate to be that guy

Our AFC record cleans itself a bit if we win out. Our last 4 are all AFC games. Everyone else loses some AFC games as well so it evens out. -

I don't either - but i could see why people might. The Steelers have 3 road wins this year. 2 were against cleveland and the luck-less colts. The other was week 1. The 3 losses on the road - a smacking by philly 34-3, 200+ by ajayi and the dolphins, and a 21-14 loss to Baltimore. At one point this year they lost 4 straight. In 4 of their 5 losses - they scored 16 or fewer points. Also - the weather report for OP looks cold, with chance of snow/sleet/rain. This can affect precision on passing. Again - i don't think we will win, but we certainly could win. -
Are we worse then Cleveland and or Detroit?

If either team were in our division, I believe they would have had similar success. It's very difficult to make the playoffs when the pats win the division every year. -
Rex in a nut shell.....

We Should Pick Up the Option on Tyrod No Matter What

I say we keep spinning the wheels for a couple years until brady is closer to retirement. So I say keep him. Then we can go ahead and bottom out and tank. Gotta time it right. -
4 games left...predict the Bills' final record
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Spurna's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we cover like we did against Oakland, we will not beat the steelers. We probably give up 40 honestly. Even to Ben on the road, with lousy weather. -
I just look at our team and think we're built to follow a certain blue print that a few other teams in the league adhere to. They play field position, don't turn it over, and score enough. But all of those teams play really really good defensively. We don't. KC, DEN, and SEA can play mediocre offense, and win or be in all their games. They rarely get blown out or run off the field. They put themselves in makeable 3rd downs, and stop other teams on 3rd downs. They capitalize on mistakes. We don't do any of these things. Until we have a top 5 defense, we will never be good with this QB or offensive philosophy.

It was a team effort... everyone failed from that point on in the game. Couldnt run, couldnt pass, couldn't catch, couldn't rush the passer, couldn't cover anyone, couldn't coach.

A Third party observation of Yesterday..
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They had just scored - we needed to keep them on their heels. We did this well in the 1st half by passing. I know TT was off, but part of why he was doing well in the 1st half was because we kept attacking them on 1st downs. Instead we completely show our hand and line up wildcat/pistol. We never do well passing in pistol, and he's barely on the field in a wildcat situation. I know you want to put the ball in your best players hands... but if they know you're handing it to McCoy pre-snap, it becomes a lot easier to stop him. -
Bills need to Tank like the Sabres
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are you still going to go to the games when the team is 3-13 for at least 3 years? What about if theyre 3-13 for 5 years? What if they don't win any games... Will you all still go? We sucked under Gailey - and added legit no talent. We have a decent GM, but not a good one. We have a mediocre coach but not a good one. Coaching matters more in this sport than in any other. The best coaches already have jobs.
