  1. Eh... JP losman was a sack machine in college, and a sack machine in the pro's. Kid didn't have it between the ears in the slightest. Not to mention his arm was not nearly as strong as Allens. I don't see it. Holds the ball, takes sacks, not a rhythm passer, not particularly accurate.
  2. 62 QB runs vs. 26 for the lions. Buffalo has also played an extra game.
  3. Side note - i feel like he's been the victim of several blatantly non-called PI penalties this year.
  4. I tend to agree. Lions offense is legit and they're 8-3 so he'll definitely end up with a job somewhere.
  5. Brady even gets a trial run here which is nice. He never got much run in carolina namely because.. the team had little talent other than CMC - who was hurt for most of the games brady coached there.
  6. Its very similar to the NE patriots offense that was run with brady. Motion can change route combinations, leverage can adjust route direction and depth, same plays can be run out of multiple formations, etc. When its working it almost feels like you can't do anything to stop it. When its not, the QB is double clutching all the time and receivers seem to be in the wrong spots. Part of the reason edelman was so successful there was because he was a QB prior to playing WR.
  7. Baltimore's probably the big one. Dallas was a big "we've arrived" win. NE 7 TD game.
  8. I mean... prevent and "keep everything in front of you" doesn't mean... don't cover them.
  9. We just spent a first on a young playmaker this season. And a 2nd the previous season. It's not like we don't do that. If the value is there sure - but i hate trading up with a billion holes on the defense. The defense is old to the point where the players are aging off the roster, and there aren't replacements.
  10. I left him on since hes under contract technically, and its very... coach and direction specific. I don't know that mcd wants to break up with 3 of the 2023 starting 4 DBs in one go, but he has not looked himself. Slower, the elbow injury is definitely affecting him. Might be time for him to chase a 1 year deal for some cash. It sounds to be a deep class so i look at it like... we won't get the top 3 guys, but can you get the right player in the 2nd or something?
  11. They literally did this last year. They drafted a pass catcher in the first, and went and got him.
  12. 10 picks - likely expect bargain shopping in FA. I probably wouldn't go 1st round playmaker with my very highly paid QB tbh - he needs to make the rest better because he costs like 25% of the cap. Not saying ignore it entirely, but the defense needs people to rush the passer, and it needs to get younger in the back end. Offense: QB - Allen, ???? RB - Cook, ????, ???? WR - Diggs, ????, Shakir, ????, Shorter TE - Knox, Kincaid, Morris T - Dawkins, Brown, Van Demark, Doyle G - McGovern, Torrence, Anderson C - Bates, ???? (I assume Morse is let go for cap reasons) Defense: DE - Von, Groot, ????, Jonathan 3T - Oliver, ???? 1T - ????, ???? LB - Milano, Bernard, Williams, Spector CB - Douglas, Benford, Elam, ???? (expecting to move on from White) NB - Johnson, ???? (expecting to move on from neal) S - Poyer, ????, Hamlin, ????
  13. 3 playoff wins since 2010. Missed playoffs in 3 of the last 5 years - and bounced immediately both seasons that they did make it. Negative point differential for 4 of 5 seasons. They have the fewest turnovers on offense, and they're among the leaders in takeaways. Kicker is 21/22. But they're 26th in yards and 25th in yards allowed. They'll probably sneak into the playoffs... and probably lose in the first round.
  14. He really didn't make THAT much money. Somewhere in the same vein of berrios, hardman, campbell etc. Just not sure why we bring a quick gadget guy in... then run 3x1, never use gadget plays, screens etc. I honestly think he's struggling with the offense - thinking too much and not able to just play ball. Live and learn i suppose - cut him next year. He's got the potential to net us a decent comp pick for the 2025 draft too, depending on how active buffalo is in free agency.
  15. Game changing error. We ended up getting a stop and the 7 before half but it doesn't excuse absolutely terrible officiating. The hold on the eagles first TD drive was probably the one that changed the game the most. There was also a clear PI on the pass to sherfield that wasn't called on a drive we punted. These are game swaying mistakes.
  16. I still don't understand the grounding call either... it seemed to land really close to gabe davis.
  17. Interesting thought - Schwartz got kinda spurned by pegula when they hired rex, but I'm sure a nice fat paycheck would be something to smooth that over. They won the toss and blew it there at the end on offense. Defense didn't get it done either but man... TD wins the game there.
  18. Feels like a lindy ruff type of situation. NFL has an accelerated timeline with fewer games and such - but i don't know how you can walk away from this season thinking this is the guy getting us over the hump. If he can drag this team into the playoffs - its tough not to give him another year. When your #1 LB, CB, DT are all out for the year, and your #1 pass rusher is a ghost - its really hard to have something resembling a competent defense, let alone a leading unit. End of the day - there were issues offensively early on, they got worse as the season went on and we probably waited too long to move on from dorsey.
  19. We even changed up our offense to make it more charger-y.
  20. A -the team is still in the mix. B- playoffs in 4/5 years and 3 straight division titles Let him finish out the year, he's got as good a chance as anyone else currently employed of helping get this 23-24 team to the playoffs.
  21. If they miss the playoffs - with the way they have lost games... I could see McD getting canned. My big challenge is who out there is a good candidate to replace him. There just doesn't seem to be a lot of candidates out there who aren't re-treads or the new hot offensive coordinator's.
  22. I believe he's contractually obligated to speak to media post-game. Beane does a post-season presser, but day to day game isn't his job. And Owners... i mean the ones who do talk don't usually help.
  23. Browns are 7-4, and to get to 11-6 would require 4-2 against this schedule - LAR, Jax, Chicago, Houston, NYJ, Cincy - Possible but... they don't have a QB so its hard to say. Steelers are 7-4 and to get to 11-6 would rerquire 4-2 against this schedule - zona, NE, Indy, Cincy, Seattle, Baltimore (might be resting starters but i doubt they let KC get home field if buffalo gives KC a 4th loss). Indianapolis is 6-5 and would need to go 5-1 to get to 11-6 against this schedule - Tenn, Cincy, Pitt, atlanta, Vegas, Houston Houston is 6-5 and would need to 5-1 to get to 11-6 against this schedule - Denver, NYJ, Tenn, Cleveland, Tenn, Indy Denver is 6-5 and would need to go 5-1 to get to 11-6 against this schedule - Houston, LAC, Detroit, NE, LAC, LV As bad as every like bad team is - theres no way all 5 of them don't drop a game to Chicago, Tennessee, LA chargers, Jets or NE, etc. These are all flawed teams as much as buffalo, and in many cases much more than buffalo. It'd take an epic stroke of bad luck to win out and miss the playoffs - but i think they can win 4 and still miss. I'll say this - i don't think any of those 5 teams wins 11 games, and i doubt buffalo does either.
