  1. I can play qb if we're just gonna give up 300 yards on the ground
  2. It's not an audible, it's a package play. If you read the will and he stays you hand off, if not you roll right. If the corner breaks off coverage you just toss it up. The only issue is if you know.. they blitz or something and get to the QB before a pass can get out, or hit you when you throw. It's certainly not defense proof, as your o-line is run blocking on a possible pass play. Protection issues can happen easily there.
  3. They traded a 2nd round pick and a player for him. He won’t sign an extension, so their only option would be a franchise tag. His usage doesn’t dictate that high of a pay day so I think they let him walk and try and secure a comp pick.
  4. No push in the run game. I think we had negative yard in the 2nd half. Just wasted plays
  5. I think he's pissed that if your guys injured you get like... half the time. Film on Monday, 2 practices, no walkthrough. And a travel day. Just a hectic few days.
  6. Gotta spread out next drive. Nothing working under center
  7. Probably the Broken album by Nine Inch Nails... Wish or Last specifically
  8. I don't think of it as a trap game. It's a road game against a division rival - you have to come to that game ready to rock.
  9. I'm not a fan of cutting for the pick. Holmes costs more cap space to cut as he's on a 3 year deal - makes me think they never really wanted to cut him - and he's a special teamer. Dimarco is the starting fullback, and has been helping our run game get going recently. Haushka is the only kicker on the roster... Davis is a core rotational pass rusher - we only have 4 on the team. Ducasse is starting at RG and currently playing better than he did all year. When we thought the team was going to be 4-12 we all thought, what difference will these guys make? At this point, they're making enough difference's to keep on the roster.
  10. Damn i wish i was rich. The entire outfit is on point. Suit, shoes, luggage, even the pop of color from the pocket square.
  11. The biggest thing for me comes to situations like when we were down against Cinci... the drive started and we didn't even have a guy to make contested catches. At least now we know we have that guy, and if they double him other people may spring open.
  12. Didn't tyrod average more than 200 yards passing the last 2 seasons? It's not like he's like.. far off this season either. Alex smith's last 2 years in SF he was averaging sub 200 yards passing. They were 19-5-1 in those games. Some coaches value taking care of the ball more than an extra 30 yards per game.
  13. True - sometimes you just have to stand pat. Deadline deals don't always put you over the top. In fact, a lot of the time they don't.
  14. The following players are UFAs in 2018... Kyle williams Jordan Matthews Wright Tolbert Humber Leonard Johnson Cedric Thornton Preston Brown Jerel Worthy EJ Gaines I see 3 DTs, 2/3 of our starting LBs (the other one is 34), our starting and backup LCB, and our best WR. Assuming we bring back... some of them - we're still missing a lot of pieces, as well as looking at upgrading a bunch of other ones. They can also be used to move around the draft to get certain players. Or help us get a QB if that's a plan.
  15. You can't just trade boldin - it has to be to a team he wants to play for, otherwise he just stays retired. People probably are calling the bluff on henderson. They know we'll have to cut him from the 53 at some point and they can probably just claim him. What would you suggest we do, and at what price?
  16. And they lost like every game. He had a crap load of targets and they were always losing.
  17. I think im more surprised that the 2011 team won 5 games looking at that roster... yikes.
  18. I'm not trading anything for a back this year. Tolbert's a UFA next year, and there will be affordable backup running backs. We can also address this in the draft - we have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds, and i think 3 picks in rounds 4-7.
  19. To be fair... garoppolo was drafted in the 2nd not the 5th, and they have a ton of space to tag or extend him. He also looked pretty good in his 2 starts. He gets tagged if he won't sign an extension. If they get cousins or draft someone they can always rescind the tag as well.
  20. Skipped 22 pages to say - you guys need to trust the process. We got a good player in Tre White, and added 2 picks. We're playing Playoff Caliber football
  21. Miami was the luckiest team in the NFL last year. There's not really an easy game left on their schedule either this year. 2 games against buffalo, NE, @KC, and @Car.. for a team who as of now is 2-3 on the road (including London) - and have been shut out twice, almost 3 times. If SD makes a very make-able FG as time expires, and mariota plays... they'd be what, 2-5?
  22. If they like that McDermott kid they snagged (do we still have him) then it might make sense to move someone. We carry a bunch on the 53
  23. Turnovers are largely a product of chance... you can't predict falling on fumbles, or where the ball will bounce However limiting turnovers on your own offense is something you can do. The year Carolina went 15-1 and went to the super bowl they were +20. Their offense still turned the ball over a fair amount that season, but they got an absurd number of takeaways. A year later, with regression towards the mean they ended up 7-9 and -2. Oakland last year was +16 and a playoff team, this season -6 and looking about cooked. There's really only a couple of teams that are like always near the top though. KC and NE - because both QBs don't throw picks, and the coaches preach ball security. I think if we continue to NOT turn it over, the turnover diff will still remain pretty positive which helps you stay in every game.
