  1. He played like crap. Better figure out fast how to not do that in a real game or he's on the bench. That simple
  2. Qb is a tough position to grasp without a preseason and offseason of work with the playbook. People are usually set with who they've got
  3. Sean‏ @sslocum82 21m21 minutes ago More Sean McDermott looks like a coach on Madden with default appearance settings
  4. Because its pre-season. Line up and beat your guy. If you can't do that you can't do anything else.
  5. It's week 2 of the preseason and he took all the camp reps with the 1s... Backups a rookie. Whats the point?
  6. vikings and eagles have good lines - we are FAILING the test horribly though. And cmon tyrod - do we have to leave you in for the whole half so you can complete a pass? Get it together.
  7. When theres a guy on you like that sometimes you just gotta take the sack.
  8. totally. He's the most underpaid player in the league. He doesn't care though - endorsements more than cover the difference I'm sure.
  9. I don't see the parallels. They overspent on mediocre free agents, and drafted poorly. They over-committed to mediocre QBs, and didn't draft particularly well. Post-Levy our GM was Russ Brandon. What kind of succession plan is that?
  10. Doesn't have to be a first - but we have to draft a QB fairly early next year. Get a guy who fits.
  11. It wasn't just bradyless... It was Jimmyless, and brissett had a broken bone in his throwing hand.
  12. Yeah - not exactly like... the best talent evaluators by any means. But it is telling how he is viewed: http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/nfl-2017-ranking-the-30-best-wide-receivers-060917 (he's not on the list BTW...a top 30 list...)
  13. But if it's failure for non-testing then it doesn't really matter. He's suspended from track where he doesn't compete. The NFL can drug test him, and he can still pass.
  14. I'm not married to peterman in any way whatsoever. Draft another one. Don't want to blow our shot because we were set on trent edwards, JP losman, or EJ manuel. The out is decent, I just don't want to use the 10 mil savings to bring in a Tannehill or McCown type. Seems like we're just getting worse.
  15. I believe he just kind of retired from track. And in track you have to be available for testing at any given moment, and he was not available. A missed non-NFL test shouldn't really be a guilty verdict when you're subjected to the random NFL testing.
  16. Many are - some are just football players though. For every ODB or Marshall, theres AJ green, Jordy Nelson, and Mike Evans.
  17. They traded a 4th rounder for him. They traded a 2nd and 7th for Welker. It was more of a flier as he was poison to the league at that point. They were 8-8 when he lead the NFL in catches and yards. Being a great PLAYER does not always translate to wins on the field. You have to have a great team.
  18. He was a huge key - But they also had the number 1 defense in scoring, and yardage (and probably any other metric you can find). It's a team game. Still not a great example to use a first team all-pro player. But i think the idea is that you can lose a lynch or watkins or whatever... and still be a good team because of the players and environment around them. The broncos, seahawks, steelers, and packers are a good example of this - Yes the QB is a huge part of this, but only if he's the right QB for the team/system.
