  1. Well... there's about 6.3 million reasons why he's unlikely to call it quits... Career earnings of 44 million so far - or closer to 51.
  2. He's also cheap as hell. Draft someone in the 1st next year, and roll with peterman and the dead cap from tyrod.
  3. He's looked pretty solid so far. Never seems out of place. Hopefully the entire team tackles better than a year ago.
  4. Saw the browns do it when they cleaned house too. The sammy trade-up was a bad trade. We got one player for the price of 3. If the Bills staff didn't believe that they could extend him for what they felt he was worth, and had no interest tagging him... then this is unfortunately what you have to do. It's not about paying per position or anything like that, its about paying a player what they believe his value is imo. Having Dareus, Glenn, and Clay contracts on the books for at least 2018 isn't helping matters. If they were playing as the great players that they were paid to be, we wouldn't be going into this season expecting to be terrible. In the 2018 draft, obviously QB is the #1 priority. But we're going to need a new pair of DTs by likely 2019 as thats the first cap relief we can get from cutting Dareus. Glenn needs to figure out his injury, but we'll likely need a LT sooner rather than later. Hughes isn't exactly young, so then you have to look at pass rush. We need LBs. Lot of holes, and lots more coming with the age of a lot of our talent.
  5. I look at it like this. We set ourselves back with ej, and never got our qb. Watkins wants 150 targets, and we can't afford to tag him. As for cleaning house, we have bad contracts on the books as well as bad drafts. Rex just had Whaley draft his guys, while he just plugged others into roles that didn't suit them. Beane wouos rather trade a player who may price themselves out, or isn't a great scheme for, for draft capital.
  6. It's not that it isn't a big deal - it's just that you can't throw away a body of work... a training camp... leadership... etc. Because of a bad practice game. Peterman has had some success, but it's not as if we were walking up and down the field. We scored 1 TD against baltimore and it was assisted by a few penalties by them. 6 punts and 7 points. We had a few nice plays called back on penalties sure (but we also had penalty assists on our TD drive) - he also doesn't have the big play capability to get us out of those types of jams. Let him sit until Tyrod actually loses the job.
  7. When almost 10% of your cap is tied up in a DT who can't be bothered to show up to the stadium for the game on time... You should probably look at rebuilding. Another 7.5% is tied up in a LT who has a chronic foot problem. Another 5% tied up in a TE who has a chronic knee issue. 22% of the cap is tied up in those 3 players who all have their problems. This is a flawed roster build, and the only way to fix it is in the draft.
  8. i personally prefer zone running. Easier to set up, and the running back decides the hole.
  9. They wouldn't have brought him back if they didn't plan to play him. If he fails during the season - Peterman will get some games.
  10. He could've been great for us - but with several really bad contracts on the books... it's tough to keep extending people
  11. When you trade back in the first - and trade your best WR, as well as a young CB... its pretty clear that they know this team is in need of a major shakeup.
  12. Tyrod had some excellent games last year. Why are you writing off his accomplishments based on some sloppy pre-season play?
  13. 47... had another 10 on the ground 330 and 3 in he last game he played... these aren't games.
  14. Hurt Tyrod in the first week too. But 1-3 in two drives with a fumbled snap and no rushing gains... I've seen enough Tyrod to know he can make plays... just not consisently
  15. He has not done enough to win a job. If he has to start because of injury so be it,
  16. This year it should be Tyrod unless he is injured or plays very poorly. Last game he played he threw for 330 and 3. Added another 60 on the ground. Peterman threw for 90 yards in a game that didn't matter.
  17. Ur completely discounting another players entire body of work. Against starting defenses, in games that counted.
  18. Peterman has not done enough to take the job. If he plays like this in the regular season we will lose the game.
