  1. True - but if it goes allen, darnold, rosen - and those 3 are set that they want their QBs. Browns will be tough to talk out of Barkley, as they think it will help them be an insant contender. Then you have Denver. Denver would be the team IMO most likely to deal within the top 5.
  2. I don't think the broncos would go QB at 5. The 4th best QB or a top dog pass rusher? Or even trading down to try and address both pass rush and pass protection.
  3. Since the Giants won't make a move until the draft, the best thing to do is just stay visibile with everyone in the top 10. If the Giants don't want to deal, or the guy you want is gone, I'm fairly certain they'll have a plan for that. You can't make someone trade with you
  4. You can keep moving picks though (move up, move down, move out of the first etc)
  5. Thats why you wouldn't trade until the draft
  6. It's odd because he does seem to make quick decisions on the field. But he better kill his interview for anyone to use a high pick on him at this point.
  7. I like him as a player to watch, but at the same time... He doesn't come off as particularly bright in interviews and thats a bit of a concern.
  8. He's not mechanically sound. Inconsistent footwork, and he's kind of awkward when throwing on the run. He has a really live arm for someone who doesn't use their legs and core to really drive it. Honestly the vision and pocket presence are both pretty solid though, and he has next level athleticism.
  9. Favre for me, as a just constant stream of fastballs. He never seemed to just soft toss, always whipping it.
  10. I honestly don't think it will matter. Keenum will have a good year with that team if they can keep him upright. Thomas and Sanders, Anderson and Booker, and they even get Jake Butt back from his college injury. Kelly and Lynch can compete to the be the backup/qb of the future should it fail, but using a top pick on another QB after 2 years, AND spending fairly large in free agency (keenum is their highest paid player by cap hit in 2018) just seems unlikely. Certainly possible - I would think they'd have to love ONE of the guys there at 5 and it isn't Allen. Not after what happened with their last project QB in Lynch.
  11. He needed at least a year when he was drafted - he was a project. He's played 4 games...
  12. I really don't personally think Denver wants a QB at 5. Or at least I don't think they should want one there. Case Keenum didn't get a huge contract, but they drafted Lynch in 2016, and kelly in 2017. They need to get younger at a lot of positions in the next couple of years. Chubb or Nelson would help them beef up their lines a ton. Chubb across from Miller would create a mean pass rush. Bolles and Nelson creates a huge strength on the o-line which makes your QB that much better.
  13. Unless the RB is shady mccoy... I feel like they never call obvious facemasks on him.
  14. Misses in the top 5 since 2000 - Vick, Carr, Harrington, Young, Russell, Sanchez, Bradford, RG3, Bortles Remains to be seen - Winston, Goff, Wentz, i guess Mariota but personally i think he looks a lot like Tyrod, Hits - Luck, Newton, Stafford, Ryan, Rivers, Manning, I guess Palmer (didn't really establish himself as the man with his original team though unlike the other 6) If you go past the 5 - the disparity is higher I would say - but the big thing i notice is a lot of reachs. If this truly is a deep QB class it might not be as affected. BUSTS - MANZIEL, BRIDGEWATER, MANUEL, WEEDEN, LOCKER, GABBERT, PONDER, TEBOW, FREEMAN, QUINN, LEINART, CAMPBELL, LOSMAN, LEFTWICH, BOLLER, GROSSMAN, RAMSEY, HITS - FLACCO, CUTLER, TANNEHILL, RODGERS, ROETHLISBERGER Funny note - Tennessee has drafted vince young, jake locker, and now mariota. And i still don't think they've really addressed the position.
  15. He's like a Tannehill to me. Their line was great last year, they were incredibly healthy, and gurley showed that he's really good. 2020 is the big year - its pre-goff's extension but they have a lot of players contracts up. They need to draft players this year and next i think, especially after trading so many picks. Whitworth Brockers talib Sullivan Gurley Peters Zeurlin That's all after paying Donald more than Dareus in 2019. Their window doesn't close in 2020, but they need to draft smart to fill these gaps because you can't extend everybody, and players get old/injured. Seattle didn't draft well and they basically fell off a cliff.
  16. It's not the best comparison I agree. But at the same time, there were plenty of QBs in 89-90 who were completing 60% of their passes etc. Favre was drafted based on his potential, and not considered a safe sure-fire guy. I think the only reason Allen is sniffing the top 10 right now is because of how QB-driven everything is now.
  17. I personally think Goff is a lot like Tannehill. So i fully expect a letdown as well.
  18. I mean - Brett Favre played at a small school and didn't put up impressive numbers. I know people will say its a different era, etc. But Allen played on a crappy team. Who knows if he'll be good or not.
  19. I think it truly is a case-by-case type of situation. Is he a team-first guy? Do you truly believe him when he says he'll get help, or that it was an isolated incident? Is he a truthful honest person? What players did we dump that had drug arrests/problems? Just Dareus - and he had plenty of other issues. Kounandjio maybe? But he wasn't even a fit in the zone blocking scheme (neither was anyone else), and that could've been an additional factor. Considering they kept Henderson even through his suspensions, I don't think it's a straight black and white issue.
  20. I dont think it has anything to do with pace really. The timing was there, he just threw it in a path that allowed it to get picked off.
  21. 2 of his picks were out routes, where the timing was great but the trajectory was bad and they sat on the routes. Both were basically pick 6's (ramsay fell down or something i can't remember and don't care to watch it)
  22. He was an absolute nightmare when under pressure. He doesn't have great arm strength, but he seems to understand the game. He's deceptively athletic. Gets the ball out on time. Between throwing up ducks when hes under pressure, and smart corners baiting him into throws because he locks onto a target... I don't think he's starting material.
  23. Well we only get like - what 10 minutes to make it happen? Pre-draft trades always look like rip-offs vs. ones that occur during the draft.
  24. fleeced seems like an overstatement. We got 27 a 2017 3rd and a 2018 first. Cleveland got 25 and a 2018 first for pick 12. It only looks better because Houston absolutely bottomed out. Tre White so far has also looked like a better player at 27 than Peppers at 25.
