  1. Yeah - I know bringing in Daboll was an indication that they knew they needed someone who's worked with a lot of different QBs. Hopefully they can get someone to get on the same page with him mechanically. It's weird to look at him because he didn't play at a high school where they developed his mechanics a ton, and he didn't play at a big college... And despite all of that, he's actually got a good release, and pretty solid footwork.
  2. Right? He's the guy. LETS DO THIS!!!
  3. Daboll Wanted to be QB coach at NE but they gave it to McDaniels. I'm not sure he's going to be a mechanics guy, but i imagine he sees through the QBs eyes better than Dennison.
  4. I think the handling of criticism and his coach-ability were red flags. It's one thing to say something after the draft like that. But how will he handle scrutiny from the media, and from his own coaching staff after mistakes?
  5. Post Joe Namath's HOF pro stats too... absolutely insane that the guys in the hall of fame.
  6. When your receivers suck, you tend to not throw bubble screens.
  7. ok... do you want him to be good? or do you want to be right?
  8. I don't think we'll be good this year. But I think they're setting up for a solid future.
  9. AJ McCarron completed just about 67% of his passes in college. Who needs context when you have raw numbers?! Same with Mariota... and one thing I've noticed when I watch him is that he really isn't all that accurate.
  10. Honestly - thats fair. I just don't see superstar when I watch him play.
  11. He was a 3 and out artistE in that game against NE. Positively Tyrod-like I'd rather have Dalton or Flacco, but thats me.
  12. Tyrod put up a better line with Zay Jones, Shady, Dawkins/MILLS!, Clay, and what... thompson and a couple games from mathews and benjamin? Also with a terrible o-coordinator.
  13. Plays like Tyrod Taylor with more turnovers. They've invested in playmakers - something we never did under Tyrod - and his numbers don't show any real improvement. They have built a really good offensive line - and still no real breakout. They rolled an offense with Walker, Decker, Matthews, Davis, Murray, and Henry. They have Lewan Conklin and Kline in a strong o-line... And he went for 3200 yards 13 TDs and 15 INTs. I think some of that can be attributed to playing under Mularkey in a conservative offense, so we'll see if he can improve under Vrabel and the Coordinator they pulled from the Rams. He seems to struggle with rhythm passing, and his timing in general just looked off whenever I watched him. Same went for Wentz in 2016, and he looked vastly improved in 2017, so it's certainly possible he can improve.
  14. If the Mike Rodak of KC says its true - it must be true.
  15. Running backs always a tough one to want to invest that much draft capital in. They just get injured soooo often. Whether they're actual games lost, or ineffectiveness due to playing with a lingering injury - it just seems like they're always banged up.
  16. How much better is he than the 3 next RBs off the board?
  17. ah yea - i get it now. yeah. Cog was the big loss here talent wise. Wood was a locker room guy, but I don't think he was ever a truly elite center. And it sounds like Glenn was more of a locker room issue than locker room leader.
  18. I mean - lets not forget cordy glenn was paid like a pro bowler and missed a ton of time the last 2 years. Was his ankle just better now? I doubt it.
  19. Could've been 2 weeks after the draft..?
  20. We're missing our entire left side of the line... and the right side was really bad. Dawkins looked pretty good a year ago - but we only had 1 good guard and now he's gone. Going to be rough unless they hit on some picks.
  21. Probably listened to his agent in saying - you aren't going to make more than this on the open market, because of who you are.
