  1. I don't think we ever built an offense around him. I don't think we justifiably should - but i don't think we ever built one either. The run game built around zone read, shotgun draws and pistol options, and the pass game around RPOs, screens, and rollouts. There would need to be a ton of presnap motion for him to identify coverages, a ton of tempo, and college style signals to change plays at the line of scrimmage. Yes - I'm aware this is a college style offense. I just think that's where he would have had more success. Do i think it would've been great? No. But i think we likely have a better offense than we did last year.
  2. i mean.... They gave up 600 yards to NE in the super bowl. I think my playcalling probably gets aggressive when my defense is getting absolutely rolled.
  3. Pretty simple actually - make sweet potato home fries in the oven at like 400 for about 30 minutes (toss them in olive oil to get crispy) -- this replaces the home fries I usually just buy premade broccoli slaw at wegmans, add some mayo and use that as "macaroni salad" Hot sauce is really- whatever i want it to be.. usually mushrooms, peppers and onions, with some grass fed ground beef. I usually add some whole grain mustard and sri racha. After that its just a regular hamburger. The key to the garbage plate flavor is after you make it, top it with yellow mustard and minced onions.
  4. I could never pinpoint it when i watched him - just looked awkward. It makes sense now though, he did have a really narrow base and then a long stride. Hopefully it works!
  5. I've been doing paleo garbage plates on my diet. One of the few things i like to make - and it mostly captures the flavor
  6. Right? I know Tyrod was limited... but did he have to make like... every aspect of the offense worse?
  7. Better o-coordinator...?
  8. He didn't look particularly good in the preseason game. Lynch just looks like he's the same guy he was 3 years ago.
  9. From what I understand... PSLs aren't that effective. Die hards will buy them, the rest get sold to ticket brokers. Brokers already help sell most of the single game tickets, so the consumer suffers with higher prices. And they finance the PSL so it's not like u have to have the 50k right now.
  10. It's preseason.. Player evaluations in the 4th quarter of a preseason game include special teams and defense.
  11. yeah - RGIII was pretty ridiculous in 2012 and everyone was talking about how dumb the rams were to trade him.
  12. I've been calling him big sexy - but i guess thats a bartolo colon thing Ooo "The Don" or "The Boss"
  13. I couldn't tell on the original, but did ivory get his head around? Throw could have been a tad early as well. Meh - preseason!
  14. I'm watching the stream on the buffalo bills website. Is that not available to everyone?
  15. Benjamin didn't look like he was stuck in glue while running. so thats good! Peterman still solid on those quick decisive throws. I wish they would blitz so we could see if he can handle pressure any better. That was always my sticking poing - when they take away option one what do you do? When there isn't time, what do you do? He crumbled a year ago
  16. To me it looked like a cash savings. Already paid out the bonus, and they have a ton of cap space (and will carry over a ton into next year thus nullifying the dead cap hit). If you believe that janis/higgins/callaway has 0 drop off in production, you as an owner just saved 3.5 million dollars and got something (barely something) in return instead of cutting him. Adding Landry, and then getting Gordon back means that you're basically looking at your number 3 WR, and probably the guy who will get the 5th most targets in the offense after landry, gordon, johnson, Njoku. There's only so many targets to go around, and you added receivers in FA and the draft that you probably brought in for a reason. Landry is a top slot receiver in the NFL. Johnson is a top receiving back in the NFL. Njoku is a 1st round pick TE. Gordon is a former All-pro. Callaway is a player with 1st round talent (and off field issues), who is cost-controlled and selected by Dorsey. Throw in Janis (who was brought in by dorsey - and has ST value), and Higgins (23 years old, also has teams value) There really aren't enough snaps to get all these guys the ball. He was probably on the roster bubble and Beane made a call to see if they wanted something before they cut him.
  17. I've been to a bunch of games in the last several years in a bunch of different lots - and i have never seen anyone jump on a table. Everyone gets hammered at football games, its not really limited to buffalo.
  18. I feel like the Sam is kind of situational anyway as we're in nickel a ton anyway. Haven't been to camp yet so I'm not sure how he's playing
  19. Bpa? If next year is the year you want to make a big impact... You don't draft a WR, they rarely make one in year 1. We could really use an influx of talent on the offensive line though. Especially cheap young cost controlled talent
  20. From the sounds of it coleman was in danger of being cut. He hasn't produced, and injuries have hindered his development. He's getting a 2nd chance on a team lacking young talent at the position - especially with zay on the shelf. I can't imagine we gave up much at all to acquire him.
  21. Not a lot of people on the last two Browns rosters had very good percentages. 2nd year receiver whos struggled with injuries and like 5 qbs in 3 years.
  22. Lynch has played 5 games, thrown 123 passes, and is 24 years old. Kelly missed a good amount of his senior year, and didn't play a down last year. He also got kicked off the Clemson football team, and got arrested in 2014 before transferring to Ole Miss. He didn't play under center in college and hasn't really practiced with the team. There's virtually 0 cap hit to release him outright. He's a PS candidate IMO unless they carry 3.
  23. I'd play a ton of single high safety man coverage as no one in the receiving corps is a burner. I wouldn't necessarily stack the box too much unless I have mediocre linebackers - the d-line should be able to hold at the point of attack. I'd probably show blitz a fair amount on 3rd down's to create pressure. Other than that - make sure hands are up and the easy passing lanes are covered.
