  1. There's also times where being conservative can win. If you're ahead say - 3... I'd consider punting. Teams often get caught playing for the 3, and you might end up with enough time left to steal one with a FG at the end.
  2. I mean... McD got Buffalo to the playoffs with a pretty lousy roster.
  3. The patriots pass rush looked like the bills did at times. No pressure, arriving a second too late and not disrupting his delivery. Felt like the eagles averaged like 8 yards per carry in the run game. Kept running to the outside where NE is worst. Even ran a lot of swing passes and screens to the outside very effectively. The secondary took poor angles all game long - that 55 yard pass to corey clement was just... bad. Terrible angle, missed bumping him off his line so he's wide open in a single high safety look. Then your safety gets trucked... like what are you doing?! The call is man coverage, how does a running back get that open? Linebackers were missing tackles, getting gashed over the middle. Couldn't make plays in the red zone when it counted. Even I saw the trick play coming.
  4. Yeah - he's under contract, and hes affordable. Makes sense. Only way they consider it is if they can get a really solid return. Top 100 Pick, and an affordable replacement like McCown or something.
  5. Their only stop was when brady just missed catching a first down pass on a trick play. Can't punt there when you haven't stopped them all game.
  6. i just look at it like 5 minutes left and you're losing by 1. Give Brady the ball at your 40, or give it to him at his 20. You haven't stopped them ALL game - and you expect to stop him there? Up 5 with 2 minutes left at least you know that they are passing, and that they are likely going to keep stuff to the sidelines more.
  7. And he was slingin it too. Down field passes, tight windows. He was on point.
  8. Eh - it looked like he was a good 2 yards off the LOS - thus 7 not on the line. There's a guy standing there who's job it is to make sure of that on every play. Ref's swallowed their flags for once - it was kind of refreshing TBH.
  9. The big thing i noticed... there was like no pressure all game. Also - 0 offensive holding calls... 0 PI calls... they even missed an illegal formation on that Foles TD catch. The refs didn't call that like any other NFL game I have watched all year. Every catch call went with what was on the field.
  10. Only reason i say it was a smart decision.. you legit haven't stopped the patriots all game. One failed 4th down at that point - 0 Punts. You knew you weren't winning the game with defense.
  11. I hated the spiller pick... When that pick popped up i said DEZ BRYANT and got really excited. I just thought he was going to be really good. If not him - then I thought defense - pass rushers for sure.
  12. I'd almost rather have Glennon or McCown. Especially if they're a lot cheaper.
  13. I remember i hated losman. I remember desperately hoping we would trade in front of pittsburgh with jax. GRRR I also remember hating the marshawn pick - we had 0 need for that guy at the time or really ever.
  14. Meh - hair of the dog that bit ya is the best way to get over a hangover anyway! Party!! 2018-2019 is our year!
  15. I wouldn't give anything up to get him. I also put him either below or on par with Glennon and McCown as QBs I'd rather go into 2018 with.
  16. Or that this could easily turn into ponder locker and gabbert and i wouldn't be surprised.
  17. Hughes is our best pass rusher - we really cant afford to cut him even if his production doesn't necessarily meet his pay. Incognito and Lorax are on expiring deals, they can factor into 2019 comp picks if they walk (also incognito was a pro bowler - are we trying to get worse?). Lorax I could see - but his entire deal is basically non guaranteed. Why not see if someone can take his job? If we cut McCoy we literally have no running backs on the roster - and you save 3.7 million on the cap. Will his replacement cost more than 3.7 million? Probably. Will he be as good? Probably not. Ducasse and Miller cost a total of like 2 million. If we draft a potential replacement I'm all for cutting one - but only if a replacement is brought in. Moving Glenn will be tough - his value is super low and his salaries are high. I'm sure they still want to get out of some of the bad deals, and make some savings. But we are already carrying a large dead money amount for 2018.
  18. I mean... is Allen that much better of a prospect than Jackson? Both raw, both have rocket arms, both will need to sit behind someone.
  19. With some Pink Himalayan salt. Or maybe some of whatever they put into bartolo colons shoulder. I tend to agree - I don't see Beane and McDermott trying to make a huge move up to the top 3 though. Yeah - they had like 0 run game in 2016 too. This year they upgraded that with Cook, and even though he went out for the year, they also added Murray in FA to add some meat to their run game. Their o-line improved a ton from 2016 - 2 new tackles and drafted a center. Interested to see where Minnesota goes with their QB situation.
  20. I'd have my trainers take a long look at bradfords knee's before I'd even consider him. I don't even know what happened and he ended up on IR. He did shred the saints on MNF to open the season though
  21. Unless you're trading into the top 3, you get no guarantee that one of your guys is there... You have to have packages ready in case a player you want falls though. There's always shocks in the top 10, and there will be trades. Where do keenum, bridgewater, bradford fall? What if the Giants really are planning on playing for 3-5 years with Eli? Ton of variables beyond cousins.
