  1. They're carrying over 50 million in cap from 2017 too. Shouldn't be an issue for them at this point because there's no one on the team really getting paid.
  2. I vaguely remember people kept asking him about the hat, and he said something like - i needed a haircut, so i wore a hat... and now i'll never wear one again.
  3. Eh - i mean... he's a buffalo bill til hes not. He's just trying to get paid so he can buy more fancy suits.
  4. Really demonstrates his leadership and accountability for a coach who preaches doing things the right way.
  5. They can't afford his salary, they are over the cap as of now. Bradham is a free agent. Peters will be cut.
  6. I mean - in the video he was asked what do you want to work on in the offseason. He basically said he wanted to work on his accuracy, but answered it as "Continue to be accurate"
  7. A tad extreme.... I have 0 interest in Foles for a 1st round pick. I don't think anyone really does. The Free agent class will hit a lot of the spots, and the ones that don't will look to the draft. So they only way to trade him and get something for 2018 would be to trade him when you can. Drafting in the 1st gets you 5 years of cost control, trading for Foles gets you one.
  8. Considering Bradford, Bridgewater, Keenum, Cousins are UFAs. McCarron might be - and at the very least will be a RFA and subjected to an offer sheet. Bears save a ton cutting Glennon too so he's probably available. Foles might be available for trade. There's a decent chance Miami cuts Tannehill. Not to mention... Darnold, Rosen, Allen, Mayfield, Rudolph, Jackson are in the draft. McCown has legit never played a 16 game slate and he's 39. Why not bring back Fitz, or Blaine Gabbert? I'm ok with McCown, but only if you're very much planning on getting a QB in the draft. I think signing McCown also very much lays out your intention to draft someone.
  9. Ah - good point. I forgot they already like... did all this lol
  10. They're already over the cap in 2018 while also losing players. They have 1 pick in first 3 rounds, and will probably need to release a few solid players (Peters, Curry/Graham, Torrey Smith) to get under the cap. Adding a top 100 pick or even two would definitely help the team.
  11. They hired Matt Eberflus to be their D-coordinator already, so me-thinks they want to go offense. Could very well be a rooney rule interview.
  12. Wont get any 2018 help doing that though. Trading him now can get you picks in 2018. Eh - not if Wentz can't suit up. If Foles holds out for an extension or demands a trade you don't have a QB for the preseason. I don't think you can do sign-and-trades in the NFL. However, in the NFL you have the franchise tag - so you would still have some leverage. I assume if you're willing to pony up and trade assets for the guy, then you will make a good faith effort to re-sign him.
  13. Yeah - considering we don't exactly have a #1 WR or RZ target waiting in the wings, i think he sticks. Plus its fully guaranteed for injury, so he'd have to pass a physical in March to even release him.
  14. I think that the Eagles would entertain trading him because they only have 1 pick in the first 100 picks - and its # 32. After that its late 4th round for their next pick. 2 of their starting LB's are UFAs, and they're pretty much at the cap. They can carve out some space by cutting peters, torrey smith, and maybe curry or graham, and plug barnett into the starting lineup. Just have to keep looking forward, and with 1 pick in the first 3 rounds you can't add a ton of talent or depth. Their WRs and RBs are solid, and they have their young QB on the affordable deal for 2 more years, and their O-line is good even without peters. Key is on defense with getting the right LBs to replace Bradham and Ellerbe, and hoping for improvement in the secondary. Their pass rush is awesome and Cox is just a beast in the middle. He disrupts everything on that side of the ball.
  15. I'm up and down on him. His athleticism really is top notch - he'll run in the 4.3's, and he's incredibly quick and elusive in the open field. I do question his smarts though - he doesn't come off particularly bright in interviews. On the football field, he seems to make a lot of the right reads - he just misses throws because of timing. I don't usually care about the wonderlic, but if they're considering him I'd like to see him in the mid-20s.
  16. I mean... Dareus was late to a GAME... and was easily top 3 most overpaid players in the league.
  17. I know he's a QB and we want to evaluate that part of his game. However, he also had 24/158 and a TD on the ground in that game, and they lost by 4 to a team that is much better. I mean - he ran for over 100 yards in 10 of 13 games... It's not like we're not tacking on Tyrods like 30 yards here and there, this guy averaged over 100 per game. To me it's tough to evaluate a guy like that based on stats because of what he was asked to do. Which is pretty much everything. He's an upside kinda guy who would have to do well in interviews, and will be a project type who needs a lot of time. Not sure I would want to invest 1st round picks in the guy, but the talent is certainly there.
  18. Only ever see it when trading up to pick 1. The eagles did it when they traded to pick 2 - but they knew it was goff or wentz and they were ok with that.
  19. Right - but we traded Watkins, Darby, Ragland, and Dareus last year... traded down for extra picks... weren't we re-building last year?
  20. Yeah - except jacksons probably faster, more athletic/elusive, and has far more arm strength.
  21. That's a lot to trade. You're also assuming they want glenn over peters. Peters has proven to be a better player than glenn when healthy, and neither are healthy. They're at the cap, they want picks not bad contracts. If anything they'd send Jimmy G was had for a 2nd as well, but he also didn't play like garbage from 2014-2015 either. Honestly though - he looked sharp and I would target him as a bridge/insurance policy if the draft doesn't fall your way.
  22. I guess - i just remember watching him play in 2016 and thinking he didn't even seem like the best QB on the field half the time.
  23. I thought he was over drafted, and should've stayed in school for at least 1 more year.
  24. I do question the talent level that they've had on defense the last 2 years. This year they had even less - Hightower was hurt in 2017, they traded collins in 2016, Chandler jones was traded in 2015, they didn't bring back long, traded for Ealy and cut him. Harrison and a guy they pried off the bills practice squad played like a combined 80 snaps. The talent was very mediocre on their defense this year. I mean - they went from 7-9 to 13-3, and the rams went from 4-12 to 11-5. I think both were deserving. McDermott certainly was overlooked - coaching imo is the number 1 reason you win close games. And we won quite a few of them this year. I think LA going from worst to first in offense was seen as a major point.
