  1. I just look at it like - this team isn't crazy talented - or crazy young. If we can snag the next donald or cox or something. Go for it.
  2. I think it depends how FA goes. If we can get a WR in FA, or if we can get a C or OT in FA it might be beneficial to get BPA.
  3. Who needs foles or wilson - we got TJ graham. Very tentative - looks like Tyrod more often than you would want in a starting QB.
  4. Rough slate this year. Brutal opening stretch of games, mostly on the road, and 3 december home games.
  5. Just in general its buying time outside the pocket. They'll design ways to get him out of the pocket too. With peterman its like... expect him to throw fairly quick to his first read.
  6. Yeah - but i would say its been easier to be a coach/GM for rivers. He's had andy reid in his division for like 7 years, and had peyton manning for a bit. I also feel like the chargers are alywas injured.
  7. I live in buffalo and a couple of my friends are jets fans so that's probably the only other game i'm planning to attend. Figure make a pot of chili to top my eggs and freeze my ass off. We both stink too so maybe it'll be a good game?
  8. I guess - We're at the point of the year where money is more important than like... bringing in future talent. Abdullahs not signing more than a 1 year deal. If he plays well he'll still leave because hes a UFA. Usually you target guys at this point in the year who are cost and team controlled.
  9. I dunno - lamar miller has run for 100 a few times this year. Our complete lack of a running game has tanked any chance for this offense. When you have a rookie or bad QB - you need to lean on the run game to get you to makeable 3rd downs.
  10. So there's room for improvement is what you're saying...
  11. We have 3 running backs though...? Maybe in the offseason. As it stands now we have no need for a running back.
  12. Probably should've lost to Denver. even indy - they went for the win instead of playing for a tie. Dallas might win if they don't punt on 4th and 1 from the houston 42. Thats 3 wins without even discussing the buffalo game that we probably win assuming peterman doesn't go full peterman.
  13. Things were so bad that year - the worst part was them winning 4 games and costing us the chance for cam newton... But we gave fitz the extension and uh.... here we are?
  14. Put the kid in! left or right - both of them stink anyway
  15. I mean - that's kind of a bad example. When your offense is historically bad and can't move the ball you really do want to pin them back as far as possible, no?
  16. Yeah - he sucked. But i don't think he sucked more than anyone else...? Silver lining?
  17. Team needs to learn how to block, and how to get open. Until they do that - it doesn't matter much. You can't always scheme something. Talent usually trumps scheme.
  18. Figure out how to run the ball. If the line truly is this bad - then it really won't matter what plays you call. As for passing - once allen is back. Call the game as though he's good and see what he does. He needs to see the field better. If he's not going to be the guy, then i want his failure to set us up to draft the next one. 2020 may be a good draft for QBs - and if he sucks we'll be in position to get one right?
  19. Yeah... with no one to pitch to... or like any chance of getting into the end zone. I mean... pryor dropped a first down into the other teams arms. Benjamin dropped an actually nice throw in the end zone.
  20. Tre whites pretty good. Both drafts have actually shaped up pretty well.
  21. Look at the dead cap number. We're rebuilding and we currently have no qb. Rex would be 0-8 right now and we wouldn't have made the playoffs a year ago. Yeah.. what is that?
  22. I remember a whole thread dedicated to bringing Schmidt back
  23. They will improve the offensive line in the offseason. They will add WRs in the offseason. I think Shady is set here for 1 more year because why mess with it. He can still be a weapon in the 200 touch range, we'll still have murphy and ivory. The offense needs to be overhauled around that. The only oline guys who look like theyre likely to stick would be Bodine, Ducasse, Dawkins, maybe Teller/Mcdermott - and thats because they're under contract. I think they need to bring in 3 new guys though. WR they need at least 2 new starters, and i think the depth can improve too.
  24. I'm in on another QB. I am not in on another 1st round QB.
  25. Yeah - they really don't give you tons of flexibility with 53. 45 on game days and 3 specialists. Considering the frequency of injuries in the NFL you'd think they would want more active. But that would lower minimum contracts - or adjust the owners revenue split. Can't wait to watch him though...
