  1. We have 4 and a fullback at the moment. Cadet and Jones fill roles of 3rd down pass catching depth, and Jones is a teams guy. I don't think its something we're looking at right now.
  2. They tendered Meredith but they added robinson, gabriel and burton. They probably have the cap room to match as well. Not a big fan of Butler, he's got rock hands. Maclin maybe? He's a cap casualty, and is probably still pretty quick. Eric Decker? His wife's hot so he'll fit right in. But from a football perspective, he played in a stale mularkey offense with a bad QB and put up OK numbers. He doesn't add a sorely needed speed element though. At the same token, there aren't any burners who can also catch and run routes available. Kinda slim pickins, which is why watkins and robinson got paid so much.
  3. Suh's available. Mathieu's available. Sheldon Richardson... There are still premier players available. A lot of corners moved pre free agency with Talib, Peters, Sherman, Worley, and Randall all moving teams. IMO Gaines was at that tier below Johnson and Butler, and the market shows that. There's a few other guys available, but he's probably better, and more likely asking for a bunch more money. Gaines wants more than Robinson got at 4yrs 20. Brown's an interesting case because of his fit with certain teams. Patriots won't overpay, but he'd probably fit in there pretty well as a deep lying cover 2 MLB.
  4. Still quite a few premier players out there without homes. Suh, Richardson, Mathieu,
  5. Star Trent AJ are the only ones that count. When we brought back KW i assumed we were out on this. Seantrel may qualify though as he got 1yr 4 mil... which is close to the 2 yrs 10 that AJ got.
  6. Sure does. I wonder if they're considering bringing back PB or gaines now.
  7. Cheap 2 year deal. If Benjamin works out, you cut maclin, if benjamin sucks, you have a backup plan. Either way look to draft one early in 2019.
  8. Watch the boise "highlights" he is missing open receivers by a LOT. Combine's easy - theres no pass rush in your face. I'm concerned about his pocket prescense as much as his accuracy. He seems to scramble into sacks and his mechanics result in a lot of missed opportunities. I personally don't know if we have the staff to bring along a raw rookie. Maybe Daboll? We'll see....
  9. Jets yes, Giants - maybe? A lot of people actually really like Davis Webb as a QB of the future. They had their top 3 WRs out, no run game, and a bottom tier Oline.
  10. If we can secure a comp pick it might be like... Siemian and a 2019 3rd/4th for a 7th round pick. Vs. McCarron for a 2019 3rd/4th If you have no interest in starting the guy at the end of the day, you could do worse for a backup.
  11. We also lost Wood and Tyrod so far this offseason. Even vet's like Brown and Glenn are no longer here. He'll help set the tone, get these new guys to trust the process while new leaders emerge in Hyde, Poyer, and maybe someone like Zay.
  12. Why? Savage couldn't do anything in Houston with Hopkins et al. Glennons 1 year in Chicago was without Meredith and white... and the depth behind them was bad. They may have had worse WRs than we did.
  13. I dunno - he had more tackles, and sacks than Washington and Thornton. Seems like he belongs in the rotation more than either of those guys at this point. We also just jettisoned Taylor, and lost Eric Wood to injury. This team can't lose 3 of their leaders in 1 offseason. Not a good look.
  14. Well Tyreke hill is their #1 weapon and he costs 704k this year. Hunt/Ware combine for about what we just gave Ivory. Rookie QB. They can afford to overspend on a WR.
  15. I'm saying like... everyone threw at the combine and everything they did was amaaazing. Darnold didn't throw so he's kind of been forgotten.
  16. I mean... the guy jumped at the first chance to play under his old D-Coordinator. Clearly they feel a reunion will be good for both parties.
  17. He's all over the place, mechanics, pocket prescense, he misses easy ones, misses huge windows, etc. I'll take any of rosen/darnold/mayfield over allen.
  18. We gave up 190 or more rushing yards 4 times... There was a definite need for a NT after we lost Dareus.
  19. I mean... who played DT last year? Clearly they like the guy.
  20. OTAs... Training camp... an actual chance to fit in. He chose to go there, so he knows what he's getting into.
  21. When you're moving likely 5+ picks to get into the top 3 or so - you have to play the comp pick game. It helps you get back some additional young players and draft capital in 2019.
  22. At least DT's are available too. Seeing that we'd be left with Lawson and Yarbrough as starters would be a bit of a concern though.
