  1. My buddy who is a jets fan was soooo elated that they won against NE - and i wrote write on his playoff bound facebook post. You're going to lose to sexy Rexy and the Bills - mark it.
  2. Just saying - they keep opening this guys feet up. It's becoming a serious problem. He has talent for sure, but he's the 3rd best option on that team at the moment. 2 games with over 100 yards this year, and 3 total TDs. On an offense that is scoring an insane number of points. I wouldn't say he's having a "good" year at all.
  3. When McD mentions the LOS in every presser I think they are both very aware. As for draft - we aren't loaded with tons of talent at any position really other than maybe LB and Safety. BPA if its a DT, DE, OT, WR - they need talent across the board. I would hate reaching for something just because we missed in free agency. It's a process right? I'd like to see a pass rusher added to the group. If the top OL is off the board and a premier DT/DE is available in the draft i say go for it.
  4. They traded for him during a playoff race when our receivers were really banged up. He ended up tearing his meniscus in like his 2nd game here and came back and continued to play sparingly. This season was supposed to be his chance to go through camp - be the number 1. He has been nothing short of worthless. We shot a shot to try and get to the playoffs (we did but he had little to do with it, maybe that TD against Indy in the snow game) - We also had a pick surplus from the Watkins, Darby, Ragland, & Dareus trades. Considering they ended up moving Tyrods last year, and Glenn as well the lost pick isn't exactly hamstringing our draft. Bryce brown was just - a bad player evaluation in the offseason. Either way, neither worked out. a 7th round pick for coleman isn't really worth anything... it was training camp and they knew our WR room was bad. Try and improve it As for Watkins - 40 for 500 and 3 isn't exactly a high level (hes a top 10 paid WR). He's also been having foot issues all season, and his cap hit triples in 2019. They can't even dump him on this deal because they guaranteed so much. The only way to lessen the cap hit would be to extend him, and no one would do that when he missed time every year with a foot soreness issue. If the foot issue continues it could be one of the worst contracts in football.
  5. I just wonder whether teams are able to criticize the officiating - like submit film from the previous game showing all the calls they missed etc. A ref who tells Allen to quit whining/crying, and another who calls Hughes a name - like... its clear they weren't interested in calling this game down the middle.
  6. If no one signs them for a contract of any value - there are no comp picks. We'll also be active in Free agency, and won't have a net loss this year. So we won't get comp picks.
  7. I think the sabres are still paying Cody Hodgson and Christian Ehrhoff
  8. Maybe the straw that broke the camels back. Maybe something more definitive was said - or late to a meeting or something. Either way, its refreshing that they were content to just move on.
  9. We've entered evaluation mode at 4-8. McCloud, Mckenzie, and foster are all trying to make an impression for 2019.
  10. Good point - the likelihood of injury for all non-punters is like 1000% higher. And QBs get hurt pretty frequently too. Blocking in the back is like... so common its stunning. If we literally did nothing except fair catch everything, we'd probably have a better punt return unit than we have had over the last few years.
  11. I would think you could use any mostly dedicated teams player/returner. Logan thomas already helped execute a fake punt - he's athletic enough to run around and buy time, and has a good arm. I guess it would take away some reps though?
  12. Shady has to chip or block most of the game because our line is so bad. I think he'll still be a useful 3rd down back in 2019 but thats just me. I do think we need to address the position a bit though.
  13. I know a &I'm was all about the 12th man, and wouldn't let anyone use it in games or on merch. But u can't stop a player from saying it
  14. They did a great job bottling up kamara and just... crushing him consistently when he cut up field. I was honestly concerned he wouldnt make it out of that game. They stopped the run really well, put them in tough down and distances all game. They also did a great job just sticking to their receivers in man, and not letting kamara and ingram hurt them in the passing game.
  15. It's tricky - Most teams don't want foster, yet he was claimed by the redskins. I understand that there's a redemption and rehabilitation factor that you cannot discount, however at the same time it's an incredibly public job and public perception can cost you as an owner/league money. Him being in the league does not make the league more money - however i do think his bad publicity could cost them money.
  16. Gase and Tannehill are just so... blah. Even when they were doing well i still think they stink. They just always look so beatable.
  17. Depends on draft too. If we get a blue Chip left tackle I could see shifting Dawkins to guard or right tackle
  18. I think it was - the one guys injured, lets bring back the other guy from camp. Honestly seems entirely logical. No bonus money so its literally just swapping out game checks.
  19. maybe that return was like... entirely schmidts fault? Not enough hangtime or somethin.
  20. Could be a one week type of move? Maybe he's a really good punter in miami? Who knows...?
  21. Like it takes a QB time to adjust - time that is spent in practice/preseason/on the field. Their QB is just thrown in there. His body clock won't be fast enough, and the receivers are going to struggle to get open for him to find in that window. NFL d-lines are used to having to adjust to hard counts, silent counts, and other ways to slow down a pass rush. All its going to take are a few run stops to get them in 3rd and longs and those are dangerous for a rookie QB who has played preseason/regular NFL time - let alone a green rookie who's never faced an NFL defense. As for buffalo's offense, they've had some stinkers - baltimore and GB come to mind. But they've also scored points against some really tough defenses in minn/jax - both of whom have a better defense than bama.
  22. Then i would assume that is out imo. 1.5 billion in this area is absurd. Who's payin for it? Anything downtown is going to need to remove the skyway too. Conway park area would make a lot of sense since there's a lot of empty buildings and space, but where do the cars go? Even ripping out the perry projects/towers wouldn't create enough parking, and you have to find places to put displaced residents. It's also going to be like useless to have massive parking lots there 90% of the time. Not to mention - How do you get in and out? Logistical nightmare - you either have to build foot bridges from like riverworks ($$$ these would need to be tall enough for boats to still get through) - how do you get to route 5/190/33 from there? How are you directing traffic?
  23. PSL's are not going to fly here - so renovations might be the best option. You could charge a 1 time fee to all season ticket holders and a higher fee for new ticket buyers. Even a hundred bucks a seat (which is much lower than it would likely be) would get you more than 5 million dollars, and then at least you're taxing the people who actually use the stadium. Non-renovations will cost at least half a billion - maybe more? I don't think we'd be going minnesota/LA/SF state of the art. Look more at something like Arizona's dome, or Ford Field. They're able to do college bowl games, as well as NCAA final four. Maybe throw in a large concert tour, or a big 4 WWE event like Royal Rumble. We're not spending a billion, and we're not getting a super bowl so its going to be hard to scrounge up that much taxpayer cash.
  24. I think the tricky part will be just generally the speed of the game. It's going to be really hard for Bama to pass the ball, between playing a d-line that is probably better than anyone they'll play all year - a secondary with multiple NFL pro bowlers covering their receivers - and a ton of speed at linebacker. Turnovers would spin the game to a blowout, so Bama would want to try and get grindy, and i think that honestly favors buffalo. 28.5 is quite the spread, but i don't think Bama is likely to win the game.
  25. Is cap room in 2019 an issue? And disagree with the Fournette statement. His YPA is under 4 for his young career and has been largely terrible this year. We had poor gap integrity on a bunch of runs in that game. Agreed - I'm not sure we'll be counting on him like we used to, but the guy can block, catch, and is still tough to tackle 1x1. Why would u release that guy when you legit already have 90 million in cap available? His cap hit is high, but we haven't drafted his replacement yet and typically you want to see how those players fit before you move on.
