  1. They have cap to match as well on any offer sheet. Yeah - Not saying give the guy the key to the city. I just think we need improved play from a slot receiver. 70% catch rate seems to indicate that he has something resembling hands - which is like the biggest problem on our team at the moment.
  2. I personally like Adam Humphries. High catch rate, low yardage and TDs. The kind of player we haven't had here in ages and it seems like every other NFL team has one.
  3. I remember doing the math - that's the going rate for a solid #2 receiver. Sanu got 5 yrs 32.5 14 guaranteed the year prior... so that was about where he should be.
  4. Considering FA is a full 2 months before the draft too... We don't really know what the needs are.
  5. Is that going to teach him to block... run routes... line up properly... catch... or generally exhibit any effort whatsoever? Romo is usually pretty good to watch too. I try to watch his broadcasts every week because he really does talk through the QBs head. Audibiles, what he's reading on coverage based on alignment, etc.
  6. I don't think Hackett was prepared to work with a rookie QB and we had 0 QB coach in year 1. I don't think it was necessarily mechanical - but i don't know that enough time was spent with him in year 1. Daboll seems to be making it more of a priority, and there is an actual QB coach on staff.
  7. Pass - he's incredibly streaky - often injured - and often seems disinterested.
  8. I hate dolphins fans so.... go bills.
  9. Does he get us to the playoffs? No? Then why spend the money, and why not evaluate a young player?
  10. Yeah - its like did the light click on? Maybe a little? He bounced around a lot but he's seeming to kind of find his way.
  11. He was likely to be the bengals backup QB behind Dalton, but he was injured in preseason. You can only bring 2 players back from IR and its unlikely to be your backup QB... so he signed the settlement and caught on with a team right when he was able to play again. He's still relatively young and has bounced around the league quite a bit, so hopefully that's given him some perspective and helped him learn how to be a pro. There are a looooooot of bad QBs with jobs... so i think he'd have still been employed. Peterman just got signed....
  12. I'd cut clay. Shady isn't irreplaceable at this point in his career, but on an offense completely without playmakers it doesn't make sense to cut the only player resembling a playmaker. I'm all for upgrading the position, but we don't need the cap space and his salary isn't guaranteed. Why not figure out if you've upgraded it before you decide to cut someone.
  13. Gotta say get that first W against NE under your belt. Hopefully the first of many. I think the Dolphins are a beatable team on any given sunday, and as long as they maintain their status quo they'll remain in the middle ground in the NFL.
  14. Dave Toub from KC, hes the assistant HC too. He usually makes the rounds on the HC circuit but hasn't found a job.
  15. They did a good job getting to the FG at the end there, but another first down and that FG is most likely the game - or at least overtime. Depending on how hauschka was feeling too, maybe go for that 4th and 8 if he's dinged up from the cheap shot.
  16. Seems like olinemen need to be found in the draft. Good ones are always getting extended and mediocre ones are getting overpaid.
  17. My wife never watches football with me, but she was fascinated watching that game.
  18. Was there offset language in the 5th year option that allows him to double dip? Im not sure that changes the cap charge though- just his actual cash earnings
  19. He wasn't without his faults. Too many formations, too many plays, it always seemed like the plays were getting in super late which leads to penalties. And before you blame Tyrod, he had that problem with Alex Smith and CK in SF. Dabolls units have had penalties in pre-snap but they seem to have mostly cleaned that up. The O-line has been brutal with penalties recently though.
  20. I can't believe they didn't try out Peterman. I want his redemption story!
  21. I remember Greg Roman being a popular pick in the 2015-2016 offseason. He didn't get any traction and we fired him like a week into 2016.
  22. I love him as a player - but i think its a chronic pain tolerance issue.
  23. It's a football game.. and you aren't even playing! You have no bearing on the end result of the game, nor should the end result have any bearing on your needing to fight opposing fans.
  24. I think the team will be active in free agency, but i don't think they'll spend that full 90 million, you can carry it over to next years cap and how much new money you add can affect extensions in the future.
