  1. That zay jones TD against miami in the first meeting was deep middle - Must have been just short of 20 yards in the air?
  2. Knock on JuJu coming out was speed, didn't seem to have enough coming out of his breaks. Interested to see how he does if they actually do trade AB. Coming out AB was a highly productive undersized receiver who lacked physicality. I think it may also have something to do with developing receivers, not just scouting them.
  3. Honestly looks a lot better than what we got. I'd probably be willing to hedge a bet that they may also draft a depth player in rounds 3-5. The guys at number 5 should have to work their asses off to keep a job.
  4. Depends how FA goes obviously - but we are in dire need of interior Oline help. He's struggled to pass protect more than anything else. He's a UFA though and i wouldn't really pay him much.
  5. Ah - he's probably fine with it too. Toxic team down there.
  6. Can they void the bonus money and keep him?? That doesn't really make sense. I could see them maybe getting out of the bonus money if they release him maybe? It's a fully guaranteed contract and he was docked game checks for every game he missed due to suspensions. Fournette's never really had production - his career rush average is sub 4.0.
  7. We had a pretty bad RZ defense. That and losing the turnover battle will kill you.
  8. Agreed - i do appreciate them trying to improve the team mid-season though. They made decisions that holmes and benjamin weren't going to be here next year, and weren't getting it done. So bring in new people. Grabbing mckenzie off a PS, and scooping phillips off the scrap heap were both solid moves bringing in contributors and/or building blocks.
  9. I heard he's just good at everything. Scratch bowler, can dunk, excellent swimmer, crushes baseballs etc.
  10. I think he's the best tight end on the roster
  11. I feel like we shouldn't kick the rest of the way at this point
  12. They have cap to match as well on any offer sheet. Yeah - Not saying give the guy the key to the city. I just think we need improved play from a slot receiver. 70% catch rate seems to indicate that he has something resembling hands - which is like the biggest problem on our team at the moment.
  13. I personally like Adam Humphries. High catch rate, low yardage and TDs. The kind of player we haven't had here in ages and it seems like every other NFL team has one.
  14. I remember doing the math - that's the going rate for a solid #2 receiver. Sanu got 5 yrs 32.5 14 guaranteed the year prior... so that was about where he should be.
  15. Considering FA is a full 2 months before the draft too... We don't really know what the needs are.
  16. Is that going to teach him to block... run routes... line up properly... catch... or generally exhibit any effort whatsoever? Romo is usually pretty good to watch too. I try to watch his broadcasts every week because he really does talk through the QBs head. Audibiles, what he's reading on coverage based on alignment, etc.
  17. I don't think Hackett was prepared to work with a rookie QB and we had 0 QB coach in year 1. I don't think it was necessarily mechanical - but i don't know that enough time was spent with him in year 1. Daboll seems to be making it more of a priority, and there is an actual QB coach on staff.
  18. Pass - he's incredibly streaky - often injured - and often seems disinterested.
  19. I hate dolphins fans so.... go bills.
  20. Does he get us to the playoffs? No? Then why spend the money, and why not evaluate a young player?
  21. Yeah - its like did the light click on? Maybe a little? He bounced around a lot but he's seeming to kind of find his way.
  22. He was likely to be the bengals backup QB behind Dalton, but he was injured in preseason. You can only bring 2 players back from IR and its unlikely to be your backup QB... so he signed the settlement and caught on with a team right when he was able to play again. He's still relatively young and has bounced around the league quite a bit, so hopefully that's given him some perspective and helped him learn how to be a pro. There are a looooooot of bad QBs with jobs... so i think he'd have still been employed. Peterman just got signed....
  23. I'd cut clay. Shady isn't irreplaceable at this point in his career, but on an offense completely without playmakers it doesn't make sense to cut the only player resembling a playmaker. I'm all for upgrading the position, but we don't need the cap space and his salary isn't guaranteed. Why not figure out if you've upgraded it before you decide to cut someone.
