We signed the guy who actually played left tackle for them, and he's currently not starting.

Its hard to be active on gameday as a depth receiver if you don't play teams.

We had Holmes there last year til we cut him - then most of the snaps went to others. Foster had some too. Guess it depends how things fall. I like the idea of boot it deep and punt it out of bounds more than anything though. Probably puts you firmly middle of the road. Also focus more time on blocking for your own KRs and PRs and less time worrying about tackling etc.

From the bottom tier3 and below guys - has anyone looked comfortable in the gunner spots? I know McCloud and Mckenzie are a bit undersized - but would need to be able to contribute there to stick on the roster.

Between Beckham, Evans, Cooks, even Ebron - there was a lot of pass catching talent. At least when the falcons traded up for julio. they A. Had Ryan B. They were picking outside the top 10 and C. He was in the top 2 of a class that really fell off a cliff at 3.

My issue was the price - i felt the extra first to move up was excessive. The other issue is quality of players at the position. There were probably 5 WRs in the top 25 players in that years draft.

Willing to trade future firsts for non-QBs is a mistake - unless you already know what you have in your QB. Other trades were just... strange? Bryce Brown for a 4th? Why? I didn't feel like he was any better than anyone just generally available. So the 2015 1st and 4th were gone before the 2014 season even began. Also - we were 6-10 in 2013... why trade all of your 2015 assets for a likely non-playoff team.

Gotta remember with Zay he went from having Tyrod... to Peterman... to Rookie Allen. Hard to build chemistry with 3 vastly different players. I'm hopeful there will be some significant improvement this year. He definitely looks like hes trying to play the part.

I liked Mahomes, was turned off by Watsons arm issues at the combine or whatever. Low velocity or something seemed a bit of a concern pre-draft.

At least the guy they acquired in the trade down is an elite player. I'm not a big fan of the zay pick, for the same reasons. He doesn't project as a #1 and you could have stood pat and ended up with either the same players, or JuJu/Dawkins, or Kupp/Dawkins. He has also improved a bunch, and i wouldn't consider a flat-out bust. Dawkins was actually pretty good as a rookie, and i like the Beane method of improvement. I brought in guys to take your job because you weren't good enough. Get better or get on the bench. Milano has been excellent for a 5th round pick. No busts til pick 171 - added a 1st for 2018, then dismantled a flawed roster and ate the dead cap to prepare for the future. 4 Good players to add to a re-build on the fly.

Yeah - its the same as the allen haters on twitter. They would rather be right about him failing... than just root for their own teams success. Its unbearable.

I think if he had been a senior and attended the senior bowl we would have picked him. Possibly same as Watson. McD was making the final call - he only got to work with and spend a ton of time with players at the senior bowl. Hence picking: White, Jones, Dawkins, Peterman.

Nope - Daboll is no andy reid either so he doesn't exactly have the best guys in the room with him. Cam Newton 2015 would be like - my guess as to the best version of Allen we could get? Or 2017 Russel Wilson? Lets face it - he isn't ever going to be drew brees accurate. Plugging him into a Stafford style offense would be a waste of what he is.

Mahomes for Tre White 4th used to trade up for zay (not a big fan, couldve stayed put and still got JuJu) 1st (22) traded with 65 (tyrod pick) for Edmunds and Siran Neal So the picks ended up getting us a franchise CB, MLB, depth safety/big nickel, and a so far so-so WR. It could be a LOT worse than that. KC got a franchise QB. So they're winning... But a lot of that stems from having Hill on a dirt contract through 2019. They are able to overpay watkins because the average between the 2 is less than what we pay beasley and brown. They also have one of the better coaches in the business. One of the other factors with Mahomes is - they were 12-4 pre-mahomes, and 10-6 his rookie year when he didn't play, and 12-4 with him. Their offense was absolutely prolific with him, and all the losses were close... he's obviously an elite player. But coming out he had a lot of the same evaluation issues as allen. Comp% was higher but he also played at TT where the reads are all half field and its a lot of short passing (he needed time to sit and learn just like Allen). It's hard to say how good he'd be in a buffalo uniform when he would have inevitably taken the job from tyrod and thrown passes to benjamin and holmes vs. kelce and hill. As for 2017 in general White - great Jones - fine but improving vs what we got in 2017 Dawkins - Starter, yet to prove if he's good or not Milano - Great We got 2 great players and 2 other starters in 2017. I can't say thats a bad thing. If dawkins and jones become good players its even better.

Right - i guess... NFLPA would probably be against it though. Seattle now has their own 9 home games, and the only away games even close to them would be possible ones with SF, ARI, DAL, or NOLA (which may already be home games. There's a chance they're going to Tampa, Atlanta, Carolina, NY, Philly, green bay, and like random 3 aFC games on the east. West coast teams are already logging the most air-miles and this would just make the problem even worse.

If the price is low it makes sense - hence the interest in antonio brown. 3rd and a 5th was pretty cheap... it was the new deal for a 32 year old that probably turned him and most of the league off.

I mean... good luck. You play 1 game per week, so staying on the east coast is unreasonable to request. You'll have teams traveling east to west and back all season long. Players would absolutely hate it. Not to mention you no longer get home games against certain teams every year. This type of thing works for all the other sports with 82 and 162 game schedules. 18 with games one time per week makes it kind of challenging from a logistical standpoint.
