Wine walk with josh Allen (barstool)
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's probably attended more Sabres games than most. Probably does some charity work. To live here year round as like... a wealthy celebrity - i feel like you have to like Skiing (and once you really like skiing you're probably traveling elsewhere), Hockey, Hunting, Good Food, Campfires, drinking, and country music (we only seem to get top end country acts in buffalo consistently - the music scene here kinda stinks). Maybe gambling as we have a few casinos in the area now- but like... real gambling. Just playing table games til the wee hours, none of the clubs and famous DJs etc like a vegas trip ?. -
Cowboys decline options on WR Williams
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Still can't blame him for trying - we gave up very little... maybe it was like a back alley deal that went along with the Tyrod deal. Like - some future considerations of us taking some money back or something. -
Allen: “Hey Ramsey...am I still trash?” Hahaha
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe he was in man with benjamin on a long completion too -
2018 was a tough year - cousins and keenum got paid starter money and it looks like buffalo wanted no part in either. They weren't willing to part with picks for Foles as they needed the ammo to maneuver the draft. Bradford was an overpay at 20 mil. Bridgewater was like the wildcard of top end backups - and we ended up waiting and getting McCarron for a really reasonable deal. The thing was, he was thoroughly outplayed by Peterman and Allen in practice and preseason. The mistake was not keeping McCarron as Peterman flamed out spectacularly. No one they could have signed on the opening of free agency was going to be a long term or even short term solution. They also probably should have pursued Anderson sooner. Barkley kind of fell into their laps once he was healthy.

Yeah - but you have to look at the actual cash. We're eating 4.5 - but he already has that 4.5. We're saving 4.5 in cash to get rid of him. Not saying the Pegulas are in the poor house, but i wouldn't want to sign a bunch of game checks for millions of dollars to a straight up bum.

Would You Draft A Punter In Rd 7?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it depends whats there - if there's a player there you scouted and like a lot then i would say grab him. There is a clear opportunity to start here for sure - but a few other teams had really lousy punters as well. The seahawks drafted dickson in the 5th last year and he was the best punter in the league last year - but for the most part rookie punters usually fall in the middle of the road. -
WR Pierre Garçon available
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For sure - but if Tate were interested i think i'd rather have him (or A.Brown if the price isn't too steep... a man can dream right?!). Tate has been more productive over his career, can play inside and outside, and has a better catch rate over his career. -
WR Pierre Garçon available
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah - there are still examples of WRs playing productively after age 30. Nelson still looked relatively productive for the raiders, Amendola was Miami's leading receiver, Emmanuel Sanders was having a great year before tearing his achilles, Crabtree was a solid addition for Baltimore, and obviously Edelman won super bowl MVP so he's still solid. I wouldn't rule it out, but i doubt it's like top of our priority like adding some help along the offensive line. -
WR Pierre Garçon available

Solid Blocker - solid hands. Not sure what he has left in the tank though to be honest. Could mix him in as a 4th guy though. Especially with not much on the roster at TE. Need that guy that can get the sticks on 3rd downs. I just always try to remember - young doesn't mean good. Especially at WR. For every JuJu or Ridley - there's flat out busts like ross, coleman, kevin white, Agholor, davante parker.. etc. -
Marcel Dareus’ contract.
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well they were in good shape - paid a big contract to... Malik Jackson, Calais Campbell, AJ Bouye, Andrew Norwell, Tashaun Gipson - traded for Dareus during a playoff run too. Extended Telvin Smith, Marqise Lee. When the roster is this top heavy, injuries just tank the whole year. Not to mention they extended Blake Bortles for some odd reason. They hit on Ramsay for sure - and jack seems like a solid LB. Cam Robinson was alright in 2017 before missing most of last year. But Fournette, Bortles, and Fowler have not made the impact that they needed to when all 3 were picked in the top 5. -
You can either try and swing for Foles and band-aid what you have. Or you can tank 2019 to try and get tua or herbert for 2020. You then burn through 2020 with a rookie QB. So 2 years of paying a bunch of players premiums, or you can save the money and stash picks for the team you're actually building for 2021. They'd have cap flexibility in 2021, a rookie QB to build around, and a bunch of players on rookie contracts.

Marcel Dareus’ contract.

I have 0 interest in this guy. He essentially complained about usage with every coach we had and the current regime dumped him for cap space for 2019. We shouldn't use said cap space to bring him back. -

Who's first order of business was to what - extend blake bortles with the worst contract ever? ? Since he's a cap casualty look at teams that are trying to preserve comp picks. It's a deep draft for d-line though so I would guess his agent suggests he try and get a job quickly before he loses the game of musical chairs. -

Why stay? Team was supposed to be an AFC contender and went 5-11. Malik Jackson may be a cap casualty as well unless they extend him and spread his cap hit out. They went all in and are now somehow over the cap with no QB, no WRs, a mediocre Oline (largely injury related in 2018), a top picked RB who may not even be very good... They didn't even pay their best player yet! Jax will need to cut their losses in 2019 to get set up for the future. They're going to have to pay Ramsay, Jack, and Ngakoue if they want to maintain a strong defense. Just a mess... -
Bills sign C Spencer Long to 3 year deal
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to One Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean - he definitely hurt his stock last year. But Long signed last year for 4yr 27.4 and Bodine signed for 2yr and 5. Clearly there was some level of a discrepancy in their skills. -

Morse and Paradis are in the market to be the top 2 paid at the position. Last year Jensen got 4/42 and 22 guaranteed. They'll want more. We have the room to get it done - but so do the jets. The Eagles may lose Kelce. Vikings will want an upgrade for Cousins. Browns may want to pair a vet with Mayfield. I'm not sure that Denver wants to lose Paradis either. Lots of teams could use upgrades at this position. Grabbing someone now makes it more likely something we can look at in the draft. Here are 2018 rankings - https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/2018/cap-hit/center/ Paradis/Morse will want to be paid near the top tier in the league. There's a market for it this year - so average of 11-13 per year, with probably half of it guaranteed depending on the term. -

Has experience at Guard and Center - if we were to swing and miss at some of the top targets for Center i think they wanted a fall back plan because bodine wasn't great and our guards were all pretty lousy. -
What do you want to see this offseason: DRAFT
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In round 1 - BPA or trade down. We have needs almost everywhere but in the secondary. One of our starting LBs is 36. We need a 3T DT, and an upgraded pass rush. We also play a ton of big nickel, so getting another safety or hybrid could be really helpful. Need - #1 receiver, Center, at least 1 Guard, at least 1 tackle, a running back, and probably some upgraded depth at WR unless you really like Mckenzie -
What do you want to see this offseason: TRADES
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not a big fan - but the WRs available in FA aren't great - Maybe see what it would take to pry agholor from the eagles. Could be a 1 year bridge while a rookie gets up to speed, and he's on his 5th year option and the Eagles are already over the cap before they tag Foles. If he does well and leaves, we can get a comp pick - if he doesn't we probably didn't give up a ton. Slot flexibility, but enough size to play outside. Good route runner. Can return punts/kicks in a pinch.
