  1. Injuries too. Fact is like all of the Whaley wide receivers were good. Just needed a QB to get them the ball...
  2. I like him - but he doesn't help with the pass rush like Oliver and Williams are projected to. He's a high motor guy, moves really well for a big man, and will probably be a top player that nobody knows about for quite a few years.
  3. The bad part was the trade - he wasn't like a crazy bust. He currently carries the highest cap hit on one of the best teams in the league.
  4. Not to mention Hill is cheap for 1 more year, and Mahomes is for 2. Watkins becomes tradeable after this year so you can recoup some draft capital there assuming he can stay healthy for a year and you need the cap for Hill. Capwise he should fit in for 2 years and then you can figure out Mahomes.
  5. Really? Use the Mahomes cheap years to try and win now. Guy just won the MVP in his 2nd year - you have 2 more cheap years including this one. Then the 5th year option, then the cap gutting payday.
  6. Just paid Wilson a crap ton. 2 late 1sts in a draft deep with D-line talent. Could see them drafting one with their pick and maybe a corner with the other 1st. They have to adapt the roster around Wilsons huge contract. And they should - he's a top 5 QB in the NFL today.
  7. Same reason shaq probably didn't - probably his agent hoping dr's dont see it and you can get through the draft process and maximize your value up front. Having a post season surgery probably pushes him down boards as team's wont be certain they can be as much of a year 1 contributor. Yeah - i still think he makes it in the first. The last 2 major injury guys to fall like that were jaylon smith and myles jack that one year (both had more major injuries)- and both turned into solid pros. Neither is a primary pass rusher though - which tends to provide more value.
  8. I think one of the strengths in NE is that while white is the primary pass catcher - they prefer do-all backs. White became more of a bell cow in 2018, but in 2017 he was right in the mix with lewis and burkhead. All can block and catch so it lets you kind of play a hot hand, helps with injuries, and you have more fresh legs on the field.
  9. I've played on it and it is a little spongier than i thought it should be. The field house turf was worse honestly.
  10. He has a 50k workout bonus - nothing else is guaranteed so why wouldn't you bring him to camp. I doubt he sticks though.
  11. You would just deactivate one on a gameday - or you could dump dimarco. He was in on 15% of offensive snaps... not exactly a huge loss. Seems to be something they got away from as the year went on.
  12. Yeah - after a while it may be higher. 83 has what 8 hall of famers? Thats probably still the top dog.
  13. I feel like someones trading up for a QB or taking a QB in the top 10 that isn't the Giants. Washington, Denver, Cincinnati, and Miami seem likely candidates. If only murray goes in the top 8 - which would be bad for the prospects of a blue chip guy falling to us, we'd likely get the opportunity for someone to jump denver (Wash, Miami, NYG, Cinn, Oak) . Or move back 1 pick and snag some extra's just so that elway can get the QB he wants. I'd be happy in either scenario.
  14. Depends on the team construction i think - if you have premier players all over the roster it may make sense to go need to get a player that plugs in and starts but might never be a pro bowler. We are not that team - if you consider Allen, White, Milano/Edmunds and the safeties elite - or at least future elite... That leaves nothing for the trenches, and no playmakers on offense. With this particular draft very strong at the top with D-line talent, and a blue chip TE - those would be my choices. We don't have desperate needs for either, but one likely sits as the BPA at the time of our pick.
  15. Allen has to figure out the easy throws - and just generally get better about taking what teams give him. His pocket awareness improved a lot as the season went along, and he seemed to be making more good throws. He just needs to get those easy throws to shady/zay out with better timing and to the right spot. Darnold showed some improvement in similar areas, but it was less drastic. Allen was getting killed back there before the injury and was much better after. Darnold was better from the start in the pocket so the improvement won't be as huge. He had some nice games and some not so nice - but i thought he looked the part against Buffalo and he only had 170 1/1. Both should anticipate having pretty big years this year.
  16. dumb article - but i like that robert foster is considered a 1st round talent 1 year later.
  17. It's tricky though, Green's 30 - has been banged up in 2 of 3 years and in the healthy year he didn't exactly blow the roof off of the league. He's also fairly streaky - has big games and stinkers. If I'm GM, I'd probably stick with him. The offense is sooo much better with him in there. They need help on defense more than anything else. Passing league and passing teams just absolutely carved them up.
  18. Was thinking the same thing - gives them speed at LB and they can play him wherever he fits best. Andersons a solid consolation prize, and would work well with Boyd. And pick 3 nets you williams or Bosa - or you could move down on draft day to stockpile more assets.
  19. Yeah - removing some of the deadline dates would make it easier. If its week 8 and the guy wants to negotiate he should be able to.
  20. Had a better YPC than fournette and hyde with jax. Cheap - nothing guaranteed... im good with it.
  21. Don't trade up - its not a QB and there's room for improvement across the roster especially depth behind our LBs and rotational D-line.
