  1. Don't let him out of the building!
  2. Working to improve and earn playing time - as a 2nd year UDFA should be.
  3. So i just did a little math - Brown secured 8/30 targets once they went with Jackson. He also had a really lousy game against Cleveland where he only caught 4/14 targets. Either way - clearly he wasn't on the same page as jackson.
  4. I try to look at it like - a % of your cap is delegated to position groups - our current WR group had probably the lowest in the league, meaning there's room to spend there. There also isn't really anyone in line for a major extension in the next 2-3 years - so again, 2-4 year contracts don't hurt us here.
  5. If thompsons so good, why is he always getting cut?
  6. I assume you could look at avg. depth of target and create a correlation that deep balls are probably dropped more often than non-deep balls. Still has to be mildly concerning.
  7. Well there's not exactly a pipeline of Bills WR's needing to get paid in the next 2-3 years so it makes sense
  8. Well Tyrod was traded on the 9th, and the only QB under contract at this time last year was Peterman. What WR would want to go to that team?
  9. This reminds me a lot of what the bears did last year to help trubiskey. Brought in Allen robinson, Taylor gabriel, and trey burton. Buffalo brought in an outside WR, a slot WR, and a TE.
  10. And if jones or foster had been injured - in comes... Mckenzie... and McCloud.
  11. Hope he's bringing his lunch pail and is ready to work. His odds just got a lot worse. But hey - being in an NFL camp will help him maybe catch on somewhere else. He also has PS eligibility.
  12. I mean - he's got a shot. He's a big dude, needs to probably play special teams to stick.
  13. Well zay also plays outside as much as the slot. He's also got a history of drops.
  14. Mckenzie has fumbled 8 times in 3 years. I like his versatility especially on his across the formation motion runs/decoys but that's kind of a problem.
  15. He's not - but hes going to either have to play special teams or push hard for playing time. People get banged up and his contract is fully guaranteed minus likely offsets. He just has to be able to play everywhere.
  16. Yeah - buys us time to try and get weapons through the draft. We need young talent at RB, pass rush, and linemen on both sides of the ball.
  17. Brown and beasley - goes with foster and others. Zay's gonna have his work cut out for him for sure. Has to be versatile - learn to play all over the formation. But hey - its a step towards modern offense as you like to put it. A slot guy who can get open instead of a fullback lead blocker. A versatile Tight end. 2 speed guys on the outside and a flex guy in zay. Anyone else they bring along will likely need to contribute on special teams.
  18. I believe he has SOME ability to block. That would be an upgrade over o'leary. Kroft wears gloves though - so minus 1 million points. Kroft is like - an adequate tight end when he wasn't injured. Not just a pass catcher who lines up inside. I don't think he'll ever get a ton of targets or anything, but he's made some plays in the red zone and can block.
  19. Greggo likes to play a 4-3 - but where does that put Barr? DE? They likely add williams or bosa at the draft as well - so that helps their D-line out a ton.
  20. Yep - which is not good. Edmunds did seem to get a bit less reactionary as the season went on. The stinker's were very apparent. Games like NE, Jax, and LAC were ones that stuck out. They attacked and exploited him with motion in the run game, and crossers in the red zone.
  21. He's still slow to hit gaps. WLB's still have to tackle and shoot gaps. If anything they have to cover more ground.
  22. I heard they were preparing to cut Lee if they couldn't find a trade. They still need Dline help.. and they have like 1 cornerback who doesn't suck. And he kind of sucked last year. The guard Osemele and Mosley are the big pickups. Crowder has flashed, but he also is hurt every year and has the highest fumble rate of anyone in football. Josh Bellamy is basically Chris Hogan. Barr is - tricky to evaluate. He was a good pass rusher in college - maybe it was a poor fit with zimmer's defense? The knock on him coming out was that he was a tweener defensive end, and needed polish to play LB. He also didn't have a ton of moves at DE relying on elite athleticism, and its doubtful that after 4 years of playing LB that he just developed better pass rushing moves. Could work out I guess - I just see it as middling sack numbers and good games against inferior opponents.
  23. Agreed - Mosley is a good player and will be a major upgrade over lee. Barr I don't really get.
  24. Good ones have been signing extensions. Or they're still on rookie contracts - JuJu, Hill and Thomas. Basically if you draft a top dog receiver - you do everything you can to keep him.
