  1. If hyde or poyer were hurt for an extended period of time i would have liked to see him brought in. Haven't seen dollars yet, but i don't envision him as a 3rd safety here with the big-nickel that buffalo likes to play. But if hyde or poyer was hurt i think he would've been a good replacement.
  2. I like the thought process behind this - if you move Goff for a 1st (or more) to a QB-desperate team you can draft his replacement and maintain the majority of your core. I would also probably be taking shots every year at QBs if that was the case. Find a late round gem and hes even cheaper than a 1st rounder on a rookie contract.
  3. I just looked - never heard of any of them: justin hardy, marvin hall, russell gage
  4. If a ball carrier goes out of bounds with the ball, the game clock temporarily stops. For most of the game, the game clock restarts when the ref places the ball on the ground where the next play will begin. (Option 2) Exceptions to this are: during the last two minutes of the first half and the last five minutes of the second half. During these times, the game clock is not restarted until the next play begins. (Option 3) In case you were wondering, a regular season overtime period is treated like the second half of a game, while playoff overtime periods are treated as though a new game is beginning and the first overtime period is the first quarter.
  5. Why would Le'veon play? He's on the tag for this year no matter what.
  6. Yea- i dont think they would lose a depth receiver in a situation like that. An injury could really hamper what theyre trying to do IE. super bowl aspirations.
  7. Gives the lineman an advantage - the key is i think the belt of the center A Player of Team A is on his line: (c) if he is a non-snapper, his helmet must break the vertical plane that passes through the belt line of the snapper. Section 5 of the Scrimmage Rules Article 1: Offensive Team. The offensive team must be in compliance with the following at the snap: (a) It must have seven or more players on its line Receivers have no excuse - they need to know when they are to be on the line, and should be confirming with the line judge. Even if they're off the line, once they confirm with the line judge i think theyre good to go.
  8. Yeah - i love that pistol set with backs on both sides and someone like ivory behind allen. So many ways to attack with it. If they load up heavy in the box you can motion shady wide and create a mismatch. You can run triple option, straight speed option, RPOs, whatever you want really.
  9. Ivory made a nice play to get open on a scramble drill. Our receivers need to improve on that aspect to help allen.
  10. Lol good point - the 2nd half was kind of a blur and i was cooking burgers for some of it and trying to watch on my ipad.
  11. Ivory looked solid this week. I wouldn't take him out. We also seemed to execute sweeps a lot better when we had dimarco in. He only featured on a few plays, but he seemed solid. We wanted to attack boundaries in this one. I really liked dabolls game plan in this one. Dimarco won't feature in every week, and it really reminds me of the way NE game plans. They will always come in with a plan that changes week to week, and focuses on the specific matchup.
  12. He had a few runs that were blown up, but he was able to get back to the LOS. I felt that was important because we look terrible when we're behind the sticks. O-line had a few solid ones, but they really have to limit the negative ones. Ivory made a few plays in the passing game, as they attacked the man coverage with lots of pre-snap motion and getting backs in 1x1s on the outside. But in all he grabbed us the few first downs in the 2nd half we needed in this one to ice the game. They knew we were running and we were still able to execute fairly well.
  13. Rafael bush is currently our big nickel 3rd safety, and he's not very good.
  14. Adam Gase is one of those people who likes to throw a lot of really short passes/run the ball - then blow the top off the d when they cheat up. Just kind of his style i think - and it works with tannehill
  15. His receivers showed up there too in the 2nd half and made a few really nice catches. Landry pulling that 30 yarder down with a hand in his face is why they paid him the big bucks. Honestly happy Landry isn't in the division anymore. He doesn't seem to be limited to the way the fins used him at all.
  16. I'm aware - just saying i think 2 make it from the west. So if that iss the case, the north is playing for 2 spots between 4 teams. I don't know that they're going go get the 9-10 wins needed there with their schedule.
  17. Maybe he's pressing to make an impact. It also hurts that he missed most of camp. He seems to be struggling to figure out how to get open on press coverage too. That takes time to figure out how not to tip your route, and how to use the corners hips and leverage against them in that phone booth type of situation.
  18. He's got the goods. Quick release, gamer mentality, great arm. The pocket presence will develop in time - he had a few bail outs with penalties and luck. He'll make some mistakes here and there, but it doesn't seem like its going to phase him. Good for them. Now hopefully Josh Allen can start exhibiting some of the same stuff. Tough division. Considering 2 of KC/Den/LAC probably make it, they're probably playing for 1 wildcard in that division. Their schedule does them no favors either, as they don't get to play some of the weaker teams in the AFC, and the NFC south is pretty good so far this year. Their defense looks improved, and Mayfield was the shot in the arm that their offense needed. But they tied pitt when they probably should have won... and lost to NO when they probably should of won. A team making the playoffs off of a 0-16 season would probably need those games to go their way much like we did with tampa/atl/kc last year. Games we won in the 4th quarter.
  19. I feel like he threw it out of bounds a ton last night, and his timing was a mess. Beyond the turnovers, he just didn't look sharp. Could just be the Thursday lack of prep, or the prime time jitters.
  20. They had a top 5 offense with alex smith - and now currently have a top 5 offense with mahomes. They added watkins and jettisoned smith.
  21. Its not going to be good - i see 6+ sacks. They play like exculsively man to man, and all of their guys are better than ours. Benjamin height advantage might be the only mismatch we have for back shoulder plays. They also play their linebackers really close to the line, which wil confuse whoever we have at center. Its going to be a beatdown.
  22. Mahomes has played 2 games btw. Also Alex Smith had the highest QB rating in the NFL last year - without Watkins. Just some food for thought. Oh - and they beat the patriots and eagles to start the season.
  23. There were also plays where no one was open. The receivers aren't good... and aren't blameless
  24. Sorry... 1-technique defensive tackle... He lines up over center and guard. Its basically a nose tackle.
