  1. Things I'd like to see - Starts all 16 games - 60+ completion percentage, and close to 4000 in the air. A real NFL offense. - 25+ TDs in the air - im cool with a few extra's on the ground but I want more damage with his arm. - Sub 20 total turnovers as a team - 32 is way too many. We were 6-0 when we had fewer than 2 turnovers, and 0-10 when we had more than 2. - Score 13+ in every game. We can't have so many stinker gameplans where we just looked totally inept as a team. If Allen can hit these benchmarks, and we have a solid running game - we will make the playoffs.
  2. I'm sure he had a rather large backyard. Guy was living in a gatsby mansion.
  3. I'm not sure - the offense we had built was around 50/50 balls, backshoulders, and running. It didn't work. It was horrible. We couldn't beat man coverage. It was especially horrible with a rookie QB and a bad o-line. By the end of the year, we added speed and vertical threats - went back to some rhythm passing (which allen still struggles with), and completely abandoned the offense in the first 8-10 weeks of the year.
  4. The way they approached free agency was too address holes and add competition. We still need blue Chip players on both sides of the ball. I hope they either trade down for some depth, or go best player available. I still like Oliver at 9 there if we stand Pat. Guy makes plays and would be a problem for everyone playing us. Helps the pass rush, plug and play in Kyle's spot. Hard to block, and constantly in the backfield. He's a bit undersized, but that was the knock on Donald.
  5. We had one of the worst offenses in the NFL - and the only players we were losing really were members of that terrible offensive line, and an overpaid TE with a bum knee. We had a ton of cap space... so bring in a bunch of people - breed some competition at WR and along the line. Improve the RB room a bit, add a veteran TE who still has some upside. The goal is to not finish 30th again. I don't think we added pieces to get to like top 5 or anything - but the difference between the offenses ranked10-20 from a yardage perspective is only about 20 yards per game. We were about 50 yards short of the 20th place offense from a simple yards per game stat. From a points standpoint the 20th ranked offense outscored us by about 7 per game, and 10th outscored 20th by about 3. So getting to that 10-20 range is i think where we need to be. More than 350 yards per game, and more than 22 points per game. If we do that - we should be in the playoffs at the end of the year assuming the defense doesn't regress too much.
  6. Graham is a very angry dude. At least Rodak mostly ignores the trolls.
  7. As good a back-up spot as any. Coach who's good with QBs, he'll have mcvay in his ear every week. I don't like him to latch on with the Rams beyond a year or two, but i could see him getting another shot down the road and hopefully learning from Mcvay.
  8. I'd be furious too - there was a really good chance that 3 of the 4 QBs would be off the board by pick 4. This would've driven the trade-up price up even further than the amount the jets overpaid. We kind of lucked out that the giants went for barkley, and that the broncos liked chubb.
  9. I remember him making some plays - seems like a solid athlete.
  10. Yup - Not sure why looking at that roster gettleman thought they just needed a running back to get them into the playoffs.
  11. Then i wouldn't necessarily be opposed to it. He's still learning nuances of pro football, but he's got guys like lorax and hughes to kind of help along with the pass rushing maneuvers.
  12. They know they need a quarterback. The problem is young QB's do better with good WRs - like Jarvis Landry for Baker.. Hopkins for Watson.. Hill/Watkins/Kelce for Mahomes.. If the plan was - draft a rookie this year, sit him for a year, and 2020 is the year to compete, then i guess it makes sense. They'll now have tate, rookie QB, barkley, some solid o-line pieces, and a good chunk of cap to spend. Their defense isn't great - could use some pass rush, as well as secondary help. But i think i get what they're doing. 2019 isn't going to be great... But that gives them a high 1st in 2020 to address pass rush or improve the offensive line. 2020 is a "compete" year, but its not like a super bowl type of team. ODB wasn't pushing them to a super bowl in 2019 or 2020.
  13. I mean - they invested in him the player. He's been injured a ton the last couple of years and their LBs have been some of the worst in football. They need to move on.
  14. What does Edmunds bring as a pass rusher? Usually the SAM rushes a decent amount, and also has to rotate in at DE during some of the nickel packages.
  15. Well the big problem wasn't the disguising - it was the 2 gap system for guys like kyle and dareus etc. Penetrating d-linemen were instead responsible for just eating up blocks. Mario had to cover a bit as a 3-4 OLB, and just generally didn't like having to rush standing up. I think the defense as a whole was more affected by the 2 gap system though. They also implemented a ton of checks in the defense, so there was a lot of gap switching and coverage switching pre-snaps. This results in second guessing and mistakes.
  16. I'd like to see hock here. Has buffalo ever had a good tight end? Let alone the next like witten or something.
  17. No one's trading a first for rosen
  18. They're literally where we were in 2017, minus the trade chips. After we dumped darby, watkins, ragland etc - we were a foregone conclusion to finish dead last. Tyrod and the defense won a bunch of tight games, beane used the picks to get us a QB moving forward. But everyone essentially considered it the worst team in the league. We made the playoffs that year (with help, and with being blown out several times, and probably wouldn't have if we didn't have Tyrod - especially after seeing peterman/mccarron/glennon and all the other bad QBs who were available)
  19. Must have been a team scout who never watched him play.
  20. Bojorquez hopefully pushes him too. I just want to not have the worst punter in the NFL, and i feel like we have settled for that since crossman came on board.
  21. I'd role with all 4 and cut dimarco. McCoys off the books in a year so it doesnt matter.
  22. His value has tanked - i would think itd be a third at this point. Not to mention you're trading from a position of weakness - people know you don't want this guy as he provides you no value to your team this year. Trading him pre-draft tells people who you're drafting, but it maximizes his value. If you trade post draft then teams know you are just dumping him. Zona has to eat some dead money if they move him - but its better to move him and not have him become a disgruntled backup where he tanks his value more than he already did with a poor rookie year.
  23. The depth chart guys like stanford and thompson could be upgraded. The depth behind poyer and hyde could be upgraded. We still don't really have a starting 3T DT yet. along the o-line we could use some youth other than dawkins/teller. We have 1 NFL caliber TE on the roster. We still carry a FB. We have 3 really old backs with none under contract in 2020. Our sam linebacker is 36. Not to say cut any of these guys, but we could use some young talent in depth roles. Needs come draft time - Pass rush help (Hughes and Lawson are not under contract beyond this year) - a starting caliber DT - A running back to groom - a TE - usually want a 5th corner on the 53, and improvements behind poyer/Hyde, linemen.
  24. If they're going Murray it makes sense to move him now to get the pick. Nyg have an extra 3rd now and it'd give them a possible building block
