  1. I just think the price is higher than swapping a 4th and a 6th. Especially if its going to cost a decent chunk of cap space (5 mil plus the dead money from boyd's deal). Plus why dump cheap players? If Ross deserved to play he'd be on the field, and boyd would be cheap depth.
  2. The lowest ranked rushing offense in the playoffs last year was the titans at 15. Super bowl champs were 3rd, the jags were 1st, the panthers and saints were 4th and 5th. Buffalo vikings chiefs rams and patriots were all top 10. So it seems like running the ball is kind of important to winning, and to scoring points. The defense part seems a bit unfounded too. Seattle was good because of defense and won a super bowl. Denver won a super bowl with gimpy armed peyton. The harbaughs played in the super bowl with top defenses.
  3. Ross has 7 career catches in 2 years, and Boyds their 2nd leading receiver and even more important with Eifert out. Boyd's also under contract in 2019for a cap hit at 1.3 million. Benjamin would cost them more than boyd costs over 2 seasons, and is a worse player at this point. So i have to use cap space in 2018 for benjamin, and then get nothing in 2019. This would barely make sense if benjamin was actually good - which he is not.
  4. Why would Cincy do that trade? They're in a division race. Why trade picks for a future free agent? Why trade for Abdullah? We have ivory and murphy
  5. I'm not sure - just doesn't feel like it should be that hard to do. I know our receivers aren't exactly burners, but it shouldnt be that hard to run timing routes into man coverage. Teams play majority man coverage against us, and seem to throw in a spy when we have allen in. They'll play a lot of press with single high safety. We have to go deep, or we have to throw timing routes. Thats really it.
  6. No to peterman. McCoy is hurt, and Benjamin has no value.
  7. I feel like its been a long time coming... ST coordinator is a tough gig though. tons of turnover
  8. Murphy seems like a good choice. Lost in the fact that Ivory has actually looked solid, is that we still have Murphy!
  9. I think the fact that they have a first team all-pro running back... and a HOF WR... should help your rookie QB some. McCoy is good, but what we're missing is the WR who gets open - ever.
  10. Considering Jones completely screwed up his return on the last kickoff down 20-13... i think its fair to allow him a chance to get his job back. Hyde shouldn't be the primary punt returner.
  11. I think they went the route of bringing in an OC who has HC aspirations. I don't think daboll has been particularly good this year, but the talent is not there right now. Might be the least talented unit in the NFL. I'll judge much more heavily next year if they can fill some of these holes.
  12. He'll actually get that chance to learn from the sidelines for a few weeks... like you know - the original plan.
  13. Couple of near fumbles too. He just had no feel for the pass rush in this one. One of the fumbles he was holding the ball low around his chest and von miller knocked it out... he didn't even blindside him he just ran up and knocked it out!
  14. We have no OL and therefore no run game to speak of. Buffalo's offense somehow also has no receivers either. I honestly think if our top 3 WRs go on IR, and there isn't much drop off
  15. He had two first quarter pick 6s. No rookie had ever done that before... Not even NP! ?
  16. Probably not. That's the owners money... And probably the owners decision. And are people really gonna shell out more money to watch a bad team with Bradford over a bad team with rosen?
  17. I wonder how other young QBs would've done with Welker and moss. Light mankins on the oline too. Good o coordinator in McDaniels
  18. Would've been cool if np could get the... 40 yards needed to win that game.
