  1. Wouldnt be surprised if theyre asking him to massively scale back any type of social media presence.
  2. not sure - they just kept running him towards the sidelines... the oline never got far enough out to create any type of zone to cut back into.
  3. The steelers also didn't look every good on either side of the ball. JuJu clearly missed having an all-pro opposite him, and they couldn't run the ball at all. Big Ben looked rusty too - guess it happens when you sit your guys all preseason.
  4. Very Madden like. Sneak hurry up sneak.... Basically always get at least 1 yard
  5. Brandon tate? Wasn't he our punt catcher for a while?
  6. I agree with you... Sure he catches a lot of passes near the LOS... but he also is insanely fast and elusive. He's executing the gadget play better than anyone else could - so that would lead me to believe that he's an amazing player. He has top level deep ball tracking. This leads me to believe he'll have a long and successful career, because speed while important is nothing if you can't get under the pass and catch it in stride. Look at Desean Jackson - not a particularly sharp route runner, and probably not as fast as he used to be, but the guy gets open and catches deep balls. He's not particularly physical, but he is quick out of breaks. Just because he's not huge or a high catch point guy doesn't mean he isn't a top 3 receiver in the league at the moment.
  7. I expect teams to blitz until allen shows the ability to consistently make you pay. He was not very good against the blitz or pressure in general a year ago, so teams will dial up pressure until he proves capable of stopping it. Beasley will be huge as a hot receiver in these types of situations, same with TEs and the running backs (both picking up blitzes and lining up wide as receivers to force teams to spread out.
  8. Probably smart to have kept mckenzie then. I still like him on PR more than i liked ray ray
  9. Bell is a better back than anyone we have. While they didn't make the splash signings on the oline - they return a few starters and had a better O-line than buffalo last year. WR wise i would say we may be close to even - Andersons underrated but honestly so is brown. Enunwa is oft-injured but talented. Crowder is also good when healthy. Based on production though it would seem like the Jets have a leg up, no? Darnold also looked more polished than allen. It'll all come down to Allen for our offense - if he is vastly improved all the other pieces will look good.
  10. Most teams carry a 3rd to run scout team with PS receivers. Try and replicate what ur seeing on film
  11. It's cap money for next year if u roll it over. It's also a salary savings. If you think the other guys get you the same production why pay him the several million dollar salary
  12. He sold the missed block really well there and kind of faded. Really deceptive
  13. I dunno. More? Teams feature a fullback a little bit of the time. But removing him puts a much worse player in that position. He was active every game. Whereas Murphy/yeldon will not be.
  14. like 90% of the time its fourth down too. Really little margin for error - a bad snap on a punt or field goal is like a pick 6. Special teams captain i think. Locker room leadership is important.. more important than the 4th string running back.
  15. Literally chuckled. Sills ur cut. Here's an ice pack for ur chest.
  16. Punt return td. Conservative calling against a team with no timeouts. First down ices the game... Don't be a wuss
  17. It's still bigger than my touch football league. And if we scored 3 unanswered TDs to end a game... We'd be going nuts too. It's still football
  18. I think its more a reflection of the browns... we were totally going to cut that guy. I guess they didn't have to pay him a big contract... but they picked up the bonus!
  19. Yeah - I'm good with it. Especially if Bates has already surpassed him on the depth chart. Bates we got for Eli Harold. Who also was up in the air to make the team
  20. He's a backup QB at this point. Not high end, but not bottom of the barrel. He doesn't have a plus arm, or plus athleticism, nor is he pinpoint accurate. He does have the advantage of having bounced around a ton of different systems (Philly, Zona twice, Chicago, SF, cincy, and now buffalo). It's not good necessarily for his absorption of offenses at the time, but at this point he almost has to be flexible because he's been around the block. He's seen a lot of different defensive systems in practice, and practiced a lot of different systems at QB. He just hasn't played a ton of games, and when he has he hasn't looked good.
  21. Remember when we traded them tyrod taylor for the first pick of the 3rd round?
  22. I mean - they felt good enough about teller to bring in - Long, Feleciano, and Spain at Guard. That was pre-draft... and they drafted Ford who is projected to start at RG. So legit he was 5th string guard basically at this point.
  23. The issue isn't whether they can do it. The long snapper has to spend a lot of time on the special teams field with the kicker and punter (hence punters traditionally holding for field goals). You wouldn't be able to get the necessary practice time and instruction if your center were constantly snapping to the kicker and punter. If he's unlikely to be active on game days (no ones going to have 5 running backs active out of 45 players), I'm not sure how important special teams is. May be more important should dimarco get hurt to have a special teams running back there.
  24. Since Dimarco plays special teams he's really here as more likely some kind of insurance against shady/gore etc getting injured. He likely wouldn't be active on any game days unless people are injured. I also think there's a chance he doesn't stick and we keep an extra developmental lineman, DB, or LB that we don't think will make it to our practice squad.
