  1. Maybe Lee Smith's good at onside kicks? Not sure how often they practice it
  2. Probably a bad joke. Was also a pretty bad drop. Ended up settling for 3 again
  3. I mean - the team has sacks in every game except NE (and brady was under pressure all game long). Darnold 4 times, Mariota 5 times, Dalton 2 times, and even Eli once despite that offense basically having him throw within 2 seconds on every snap. I'd like the trade if we didn't have to give up too much - would allow us to certainly let Lawson walk in 2020 and gives some flexibility with alexander likely retiring. I'd still want to replace alexander but his flexibility would become less of a priority and you could look to just add a full-time linebacker. Other than Phillips we really don't have any crazy priority free agents, and there isn't anyone on this list that isn't replaceable - so I'm all for adding a high salary guy for 2020 and beyond if the price in picks isn't excessive. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/buffalo-bills/
  4. I like Gore this week. He's just been chugging along and i like him to score this week. Singletery coming off an injury likely means a snap count of like 20 - especially in a game where we're favored.
  5. Assuming they can play the comp pick game... When you have to sign free agents to fix x y and z it can be difficult. It's also a 2021 3rd which doesn't help you in 2020 Anderson Crowder damaryus Thomas. Enunwa got hurt right away which hurt them. I don't see them getting a rental WR when they're already losing Anderson next year.
  6. Isn't Mo Alexander MIlano's backup?
  7. Considering we have a defense first mindset - i would hope those numbers would lead to more wins.
  8. If they were happy with smith and humphrey they wouldnt have traded for peters...
  9. Maybe if Wade was smart he burns all the damn clock down. We kicked on first down! I'm aware we had no timeouts, but come on. Qb sneaks and get to the line to spike if u have to. If u can get it to 3-5 seconds it may run out and you can just kick out of bounds. Then we'd be talking about the refs calling PI on a hail Mary
  10. Between turnovers and really poorly timed penalties they've got a lot to work on this week
  11. With mayfield i look at it like... sure the picks weren't your fault... but what about the passes that were insanely inaccurate that weren't picked off? Yeah - sort of like pulling your goalie in a blowout. There has to be some blame on him for both. The callaway throw was behind his knee... not exactly pinpoint ball placement in a clean pocket. Allen gets dinged for this all the time - mayfield was supposed to be super accurate. The sherman one is on him - didn't step into his throw and yes he was hit but then don't throw it.
  12. I look at mckenzie like... a lot of his plays are gadgets. And thats fine. Gadget players are helpful to jumpstart an offense, and he's made a lot of plays for us. Roberts is a returner first so he's basically special teams only with some looks here and there on O. Foster really is the one who... you hope can take another step.
  13. I mean - it comes down to the player and development. I think a stronger o-line and run game is beneficial to a young QB and you're seeing that with someone like Prescott. Houston's trade to help watson also comes to mind. Wentz and Goff improved with improved line play.
  14. I can't fathom how this guy is always overlooked as one of the best in the league. It's hard to put people in any specific order but it almost has to be mahomes rodgers and wilson right? Brady and Brees are right there but when it comes down to it they are both in their 40s. Still amazing QBs, still 2 guys you would never want to face - but they were better in years past. The seahawks defense was like dismantled last year had everyone predicting them going 4-12 and they won 10 games. Wilson has never missed a game. Has great numbers.. plays his best football in the 4th quarter.. Has almost 4000 yards rushing and another 20 TDs on the ground. Guy's a baller. Yep - offensive line is killing him, and he has no trust in them. So he's bailing out a lot and second guessing himself.
  15. Yeah - bates flexibility is beneficial to the line. They also must feel good about nsekhe, morse, and ford being avialalbe in 2 weeks.
  16. I do believe its technique with him, but he has gotta figure out speed rushes - the one sack is so easily avoided if he can get a punch/push to knock him up field. Creates a pocket to step up to, or a running lane.
  17. I'm certain every team has one of these players. Some DB constantly getting burned... a WR with drops... a backup lineman who was promoted after a FA loss who isn't pulling his weight... players who fumble... penalty prone players etc.
  18. Oh i agree - but they are on TV every week and my buddy is a cowboys fan so i watch them. From the eye test - he's looked outstanding this year. Year 1 Dak was a lot like mariota or tyrod. Some of his games were great, but teams started sitting on the hitches and he took too long to get the ball out. Their offense now has a lot more movement and he has a better understanding of whats going on. He had a bad game there, but there were still a lot of throws that were russell wilson like.
  19. His deep ball tracking was honestly my biggest issue with him. He was solid on the deep crossers - his hands improved from year 1 - he just couldn't get on the same page as Allen on deep passes and they want foster there on gamedays i think.
  20. I mean - one of his INTs last week was a dime to cooper that he just booted up in the air. Their run game has also not been as consistent, and with Tyron Smith out they were having all sorts of problems on the left side of the line. The left side guard is the weak link already, a backup left tackle vs an all-pro left tackle is a huge drop off. Collins went out in that game too so pass protection will be an issue unless those guys are healthy. Looks like smart GMs are trying to build strong offensive lines right now - there's just only so many quality guys in the league at those spots. Look how much money Saffold got and he got ripped up in that game. dallas GB Indy NO - even pittsburgh and Carolina. It's not all about pass pro too, teams seem to genuinely want to run the ball - and good linemen allow you to do that.
  21. yeah after patriots week and all that attention im glad we're in the background. Thanksgiving will be the next time i think we're really in the thick of it. Also - didn't realize that they play in NE on sunday before the thanksgiving game. I'm hoping for a letdown game. Hopefully we can rattle Dak as he's been looking strong to start the year.
  22. I think lost in all of this - i don't think there was anything alarming about his play specifically in the NE game. Most teams might wait for a bye week to make a change like this. I think there may have been some kind of confrontation or issue at a meeting/practice for them to just decide to put him on the bench.
  23. I feel we can occasionally get a little too pass heavy. The empty sets on first downs etc. It seems like it works - we get to the plus-40 and then we get sacked. Then we're behind the sticks and end up punting.
  24. I'm grasping at straws tbh... just trying to get the thought process.
