Josh Allen - week NINE report card
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean - Here's Wilson winning in 2012 14-12 on the "fail mary" (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201209240sea.htm) with a cool 130 yards passing. FWIW Seattle's record through 8 games was 4-4, and they had a Point Diff of 6 points... I only bring this up because you state that Wilson plays "fun football" yet his development curve began with... "1960s Football" -

I don't think they need to see what they have in allen necessarily. There's a lot of guys on the team and they prepare for each game with the sole goal of winning. Do what it takes to win. I don't know if they "sheltered" him in that skins game, but it seemed like they felt like why bother passing at this point? The Redskins can't/won't score. -
2019 Playoffs. 1st round

If u add a 3rd wc u can just have 2 play 7 3 play 6 and 4 play 5. Then divisional week still has 4 games. U add an extra 2 wild card games and don't really change formatting too much. -

How many times did Wilson throw for 300 yards in his first 16 starts? 0 times. How many times did he throw for 300 yards in his first 2 years in the league? Including playoffs... 3 times. -
2019 Playoffs. 1st round

Agreed - i think 7 would be the ideal amount of teams. Add a wild card team, and home field advantage is the only team that gets a bye week. Adds 2 extra playoff games wildcard weekend too. Can do either 3 games sat and sun, or 2 sat, 3 sun and 1 monday. -
Week 10: Bills at Browns
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peterson averaged 6 against buffalo and they lost. It doesn't correlate to anything. Buffalo has the 19th ranked rush defense through 9 weeks. It's not like buffalo is historically bad there, or incapable of improvement either. Henry had 78 yards on 20 carries. Mixon had 60 on 15. Bell 60 on 17 carries. Barkley 107 on 18 carries. Peterson 108 on 18 carries. They have had 1 really bad game against the run. And they lost. But Clevelands rush defense is actually worse than their rush offense is good. That includes a game against a luke falk lead jets team that couldn't score any points. -
Week 10: Bills at Browns

Buffalo's struggles with the run game are going to either improve or the flood gates will open. They honestly do a good job on like 10/30 carries a game where they're limiting carries to like 1 yard or less. It's the 3-5 yarders turning into 10+ that they need to fix. Peterson had at least 3-5 carries that should've been like 3 or less that turned into significantly more. If they can keep the browns behind the sticks... let them get penalties and turnovers, shoot themselves in the foot etc. Cleveland doesn't seem confident in their ability to attack down the field either, so Buffalo has gotta play sound on defense and they should be right in this game. Offensively - Buffalo can't turn it over... Take what they give you. They have talent on defense, but its another situation where the sum is less than the parts. Pass rushing they are great, but their LBs aren't. I'd be running jet action on almost every play to get their eyes moving. Pound the rock and try and catch them with some play action. -
We've scored TDs on 10 of 14 redzone trips??

I mean in this one we ran 22 pass plays and won by 15 points. He made plays when they were there. Foster seemed to mis-track the one deep ball. Brown got interfered with on a bang-bang play, and also dropped a dime that allen threw late in the game. If he could not fumble there, probably would've been one of his most complete games. -

On one of them he lost two yards because Morse got pushed into the backfield. The line didn't do great in those push situations. -

I mean. We brought him in and the line got rolled. Especially in short yardage in goalline situations. -
Josh Gordon released off IR

put in a claim - prob won't get him. Lots of teams need help at WR. -
Assuming the ravens lose... and the patriots win after this week. That would put them 1 game back and us 2 and 1/2 games back from NE. The chance of them winning their division is higher than ours at that point. They have a better chance to win division, and at 4-4 would still have a fairly good shot at a WC because they would have beaten the colts to put them at 5-3.

Yeah - Auburn with 2 losses in the west means they're basically out of it. Florida and Georgia can both get into the SEC title game (where they can really mess up the CFP plans) - but the next 2 weekends are going to elevate 2 teams really quickly with bama/lsu and georgia/florida. Oakland might work if they move on from carr for money reasons. Gruden probably loves him - he loves everyone. -

Hurts? You're not wrong - even the teams they do play aren't exactly defensive juggernauts. I guess we'll see in the sugar bowl assuming they don't get to the playoff. If LSU and Bama run the table outside this week i think they both get in. Florida or Georgia could mess that all up though in an SEC title game. OSU/Penn State likely gets 1 in - which could theoretically get messed up with Minnesota in a title game. Clemson probably gets in because i don't see an acc team beating them. So i assume Oklahoma doesn't get in - that'd leave them with a tough SEC team that will likely determine teams view of hurts. -

I mean Eli has been around, hes won a couple super bowls... i dont think he'd come here tho. He's probably done. Flacco maybe? He seems to have lost that QB clock in the last couple of years. Just can't get out of his own way. -

Burrow looks gooood this year. Not sure what changed. I don't think he'll go 1, but if those 2 teams finish 1/2 he'll go 2. Seeing LJ and Murray do fine in the NFL makes me think Hurts could end up going earlier than originally thought. 36 total TDs already, he's a major dual threat issue. Lawrence probably sticks for another year - too much talent coming out and the 8 picks isn't exactly a great number to look at. At the same time, he shredded bama in the title game a year ago.. thats pretty impressive. -

I suppose - i just included them anyway. There's no upside to either starting at this point, you're just signing them for their brain. -

Yeah - we can cut him for a total cap hit of 200K though. I'd agree on those 2, and throw mariota in there. I don't think he's good but i do think he's a capable backup at this point. I also think drafting a QB is smart. Look at accurate guys who may need some seasoning. What about Burrow?
