  1. Best way to beat a zero blitz is to just have - gronk. Or someone like that. You have no player that can beat him in single coverage. So every time you have him iso'd you know you have like a pretty good chance to get a positive play.
  2. I know next years schedule is projected to be more difficult - but i look at what McDermott and Beane are trying to build and i see a team like... Baltimore or Pittsburgh. Always contending, and week-to-week in every game. Thats the goal - no one looks at Buffalo on the schedule and pencils in a W.
  3. We schemed well to stop their run game. The busted play was probably one of the only ones i remember this year - and it cost us in this one. Going from down 10-6 to 17-6 in this type of game was absolutely huge. They only had 3 drives in this game, and 1 big play that was largely a communication problem more than anything else.
  4. Or they lose to miami and buffalo... and buffalo beats Pitt, NE, and NYJ. Buffalo then takes the division at 5-1 vs. 4-2.
  5. Maybe another ref - maybe an eye in the sky ref to assist. Either would help.
  6. They only showed the one PF on earl thomas where he kind of hit allen? But that was that weird play where allen was kind of blocking if i recall. The beasley PI was also questionable - I'm not even sure what really happened. No - but try that S--T again and I'm laying out LJ. I thought he had the ball and there was no whistle - what do you want?
  7. I'd rather know i need 2 scores with 7 minutes left than... knowing i need a FG with like a minute left.
  8. Spain's having a solid year and I know he's going to want a real pay day. I'd look to upgrade the tackles if possible.
  9. Not gonna complain because Allen was in command in Dallas. He also threw a TD in that one. This one he drew peters in a lot of zero man coverage. Allen's not going to him super often there
  10. If they're blitzing it sometimes is the best thing you can do. They don't have safeties deep and if you hit, likely a TD. They look good with smith back and Peters. Big difference to this team earlier in the year
  11. Might not even get the first down on the TD circle
  12. Yeah they're pushing the middle a lot, can't step up
  13. Would like to see more of the McKenzie foster jet motion. They're pinning their ears back right now
  14. Nah but he's got good acceleration and is tough to bring down
  15. The offensive line? Knox got blown up on the sack fumble... No running lanes or holes.
  16. It's possible that other players are also playing like garbage
  17. He has a good voice - but i get a basketball vibe from it? I dunno. Nantz always seemed like football... even though he does golf and all these other things. I dunno, nothing I'm saying/thinking on this topic is making any sense.
  18. I mean. He's a free agent. He could choose to move on, more money etc.
  19. Defense - gameplan around limiting their run attack. CBs are going to have to play really well - its a zone game because man will get you killed with a guy like LJ. Linemen need to not rush too far upfield - collapse the pocket around him and make him either A - Step up and beat us with arm/get sacked.. or B - fade out towards a sideline thus splitting the team in half and forcing him further back from the LOS. Offense - Fast paced - this is a game that you need to be able to score fast. They tend to run the ball a lot to limit the amount of plays/possessions you will get.
  20. Just general playmaker? I'd love to see david johnson brought in as the RB1/2. Could probably be had for basically nothing other than paying his salary. I'm talking like swapping our 6th for the cards 7th - his value is that low and it saves zona 10 million cash in salary. A lot to pay in a running back but he's probably better than gordon/drake/howard and pretty much everyone available other than henry. Improving the other running back should be a priority IMO - these guys get hurt... yeldon's fine and gore's fine... but it'd be nice to have a guy back there who was a home run threat and a potential 3 down beast should our main back get hurt. I know people say - you can find these guys on the street and in the 3rd round and beyond - but you're getting a former all-pro for basically nothing. It would allow you to prioritize upgrading other positions in free agency and the draft.
