Yeah - usually you'll see teams carry a relatively dedicated gunner. Looked like that was Pitts for us after they released holmes. If they think Neal Gaines Alexander or Perry can take that spot as a dedicated gunner you would think that is it for Pitts unless his coverage abilities have improved. Dimarco and Lacy could be competing for a job in that same regard. If lacy is surpassed by the other backers and they think they could get similar special teams coverage he may be on the outs. Or we could decide we just want a fullback and that's that ?

I dunno - its OK to have actual core special teams players. NE carries Ebner and Slater and they're barely depth at their positions. They combined for 20 offensive/defensive snaps in 2018/2019 and over 600 special teams snaps. Just remember - 11 guys play on offense and defense.. some positions rotate a bunch, others not much at all. If Dimarco is a better special teams player than say... Yeldon, Croom, Marlowe, or Alexander - it makes sense to keep him. If you don't see them getting snaps on offense/defense then why carry them when you can carry a player who helps you contribute on snaps in the game.

Bills Training Camp Day 7 - 8/1

Even if he just ends up being a guard its fine - I honestly can't remember the last time we had a solid RG. If Spain starts this year and is solid the goal is i guess either extend him, or hope that teller has developed over 2 years enough to take over LG. -

Yeah - it makes sense too with where he's at. The struggles sound like theyre coming from speed off the edge, and across his face. He'd have to deal with less of that inside, and gets to be more physical. -

Yeah - plus like.. its a position where people get dinged up. I'm sure they'll use mccloud/mckenzie some games and want something more conventional like yeldon for others. Always comes down to matchups. -
Some sort of train would be huge - you could build parking there, but you could also run something west-east to help alleviate traffic from there. Its hard to get in and out of there with only one highway access. Building up some way to get to route 5 easier would be good for south towners. North towners can go both directions on 190 and still head home.

He has a niche - is a solid pass catcher and a pretty good blocker. Depends where singletary is at with blocking (i suspect hes bad at it). Carry 4 - with 2-3 active on gamedays. -
They're giving Ford every chance to start at RT, but i don't think they'll hesitate to roll with Nsekhe. If no one takes the RG spot, Ford starting there where he doesn't have to deal as much with speed may be a good place to help get more comfortable with the NFL game. I kind of hope the backup C job gets a bit more nailed down too - Morse has missed time the last 2 years. Signing Long and Feleciano made me think they wanted an upgrade over Bodine (and i want an upgrade over bodine - he sucks).

Yeah but you gotta bring down big 17 for it to count ? -
I still wish we had tried to like - fully use his running ability. I know Roman kind of did - half field reads with a high low option... if neither is open you take off etc. But he never really ran a full read option style offense. His inability to window pass on the first read was always a killer though - which probably removes package plays from the repertoire since you can't be late (you only have like one option to throw the ball to and it has to be out and on-time). I'm not sure how much of a locker room leader etc he was. But i know players saw a guy who's first in the office working out and was doing everything in his power to succeed. Arm strength, athleticism, hard work - he had all those things. What he didn't have was between the ears - he couldn't see it before it was happening.

Funny... 4 games for a fertility drug to try and have a kid with your wife... and 0 games for probably (allegedly) breaking your kids arm. This league is bonkers. -
We signed the guy who actually played left tackle for them, and he's currently not starting.

Its hard to be active on gameday as a depth receiver if you don't play teams. -

We had Holmes there last year til we cut him - then most of the snaps went to others. Foster had some too. Guess it depends how things fall. I like the idea of boot it deep and punt it out of bounds more than anything though. Probably puts you firmly middle of the road. Also focus more time on blocking for your own KRs and PRs and less time worrying about tackling etc. -

From the bottom tier3 and below guys - has anyone looked comfortable in the gunner spots? I know McCloud and Mckenzie are a bit undersized - but would need to be able to contribute there to stick on the roster. -

I mean 3700 28/9 and a 62.5% comp is pretty good in 2010 -

Between Beckham, Evans, Cooks, even Ebron - there was a lot of pass catching talent. At least when the falcons traded up for julio. they A. Had Ryan B. They were picking outside the top 10 and C. He was in the top 2 of a class that really fell off a cliff at 3. -

My issue was the price - i felt the extra first to move up was excessive. The other issue is quality of players at the position. There were probably 5 WRs in the top 25 players in that years draft. -

Willing to trade future firsts for non-QBs is a mistake - unless you already know what you have in your QB. Other trades were just... strange? Bryce Brown for a 4th? Why? I didn't feel like he was any better than anyone just generally available. So the 2015 1st and 4th were gone before the 2014 season even began. Also - we were 6-10 in 2013... why trade all of your 2015 assets for a likely non-playoff team.
