  1. Their seasons rapidly spiralling out of control. To think they were up 16-0 at one point, and probably haven't had a lead since. Offseason champs tho!
  2. In that situation - I'd bring the guys in and punt it out of bounds... 4th and 15 or whatever is a long conversion and you're backed up. But if that was 4th and 5 from the 35+? I'm probably saying take that snap and throw it up to johnson past the sticks... its a what 30 yard throw to the outside with 0 coverage - i can make that throw.
  3. Lets not act like these are all drops or something. Allen has missed him by a mile quite a few times.
  4. Even if that was the play - the snap was basically on the ground. I imagine the teams guys are getting drilled pretty hard this week on what to do in those situations.
  5. Not sure his abilities would translate to the NFL but maybe? He's probably like 5'11 and like 150 lbs lol
  6. The best QB at my bar league football smokes before every game FWIW
  7. Patriots seemed to play under coverage in man meaning he has to drop it in a bucket and can't throw those deep crossers as bullets. His poor footwork and drifting in the pocket means hes all arm, and drifting is making the throws way more difficult.
  8. Did dawkins miss some snaps? I thought i saw Nsekhe playing LT which would explain ford playing RT. Olines definitely a work in progress. But we're probably still improved vs. last year... Ducasse, Bodine, Miller, Mills.... Yuck.
  9. Titans haven't given up more than 20 all year, they have only turned it over one time all season, and generally have kept their opponents yards low. This is going to be a tough game. We can't afford to turn it over, and they are going to make life hard on our offense.
  10. I wouldn't blame the coordinator for the punter honestly - i can't coach you to not... suck at punting. Get me a new punter. We haven't tried to block one - we have a good return man so we are trying to minimize long punts. As far as i remember the last one was in seattle, but someone keep me honest if i'm wrong. Not sure who's job that is but if I'm an unblocked gunner and no one notices to motion me over, i might just call timeout. Whoever is counting hat's there needs to get it together. I imagine its coached, and i imagine they chewed someone out. He's missed 2 field goals this year and one was a 62 yarder.
  11. I kept saying "THATS JOSH ALLENS MUSIC!!" and hoping he would come out for the final drive to lead us to victory
  12. So far - no one has had a good game against NE's defense. Next up is Haskins, Daniel Jones, maybe darnold, mayfield, and lamar jackson.
  13. He did have a fair amount of snaps where he had time - we also were struggling to shake man coverage, especially during the sacks.
  14. I honestly didn't remember the game. 30 rushes and almost 40 touches for the FJ/CJ combo. Looking at the play by play is awful though. 3rd and 1 with 9 minutes left and a 1 point lead... at our 49 yard line... we pass with a rookie QB and punt. I just can't... We did get the ball back and 3 and outed... i just look at it like... 3rd and 1 in the 4th quarter? I have to try and run for it... especially at midfield!
  15. 4 int's in the last 2 games are really the killers. Batted balls and weird deflections you can't control. You can control throwing an in route to a wide open receiver instead of chucking it deep to john brown. The throw was bad, the timing was worse... ball can't come out late and off your back foot.
  16. That patriots defense finished 26th in yards, and 26th in first downs allowed and had a bottom 5 rush defense. They currently lead the league in fewest yards allowed, fewest first downs allowed, and have a top 5 rush defense in yards per attempt.
  17. On both there were people open in front of him too. I cant remember which, but on one the LB covering the LB fell over.... you can float that one over there for 20 yards in man coverage. Just forcing the issue.
  18. Jared Goff threw for almost 4700 yards 32 TDs last year. He improved drastically from years 1-2-3 etc. Against the strong bears defense he was 20-44 for 180 with 4 picks and 3 sacks. In the super bowl against NE he was 19-38 for 229 a pick and 4 sacks. Good defenses will force young QBs into mistakes. The patriots have a good defense this year - they're fast at LB, have a solid pass rush, and a good secondary. And a HOF coach who leads that defense.
  19. All that stuff goes out the window in the 2nd half of a tight game on 3rd and 10. You see where you need to get and you think you can just... will yourself there. Maybe this will change that mentality, but its just football man... He needs to find the timing and accuracy on his deep ball. It opens up backshoulder plays in man coverage... forces them to play more zone etc.
  20. What about 7 playoff teams? Only one team gets a bye so it keeps competition going through week 17 and you add an extra wildcard team, and an extra 2 playoff games.
  21. And spirit air - for those who don't carry-on (they dont have any), check bags (its really expensive), or like leg room (very uncomfortable seats).... But on the plus side it can be drastically cheaper
  22. He had 100 catches and 1000 yards last year with 9 TDs. I agree Thielen is better... but he's not a chump. While not a big dude he can make contested catches, has good hands, pretty quick. I think he's miscast in the minnesota offense TBH. He'd probably be a weapon from the slot too - if the team he played for felt so inclined to line him up there more. However - if the right players are injured or a playoff team needs him. Cooper looked LOST last year with Oakland, and still got moved for a 1st. I just look at it like - the only people acquiring a WR mid-season are playoff contenders, and the vikings fancy themselves a playoff contender. Why would you help them now? Just trade him in the offseason if you want to trade him - even if the value is worse. Or cut him in the offseason to save some cap.
  23. I hope we throw a bit of read-option and RPOs at them. Simple reads, and if you practice the timing during practice you should be able to hit zay or cole for solid gains. Read-option out of shotgun also slows the defense down a bit - throw in some mckenzie motion and its just a lot for a defense to handle.
  24. Seems like a james white/edelman kind of game. Means hands up for deflections on the defense. The only issue with a NE offense like that is like, any incompletions or holding calls, or false starts... they all basically derail the entire drive.
