  1. Yeah - i assume someone falls down because of workouts, and others will jump up. I just liked both of those guys when i watched them play.
  2. Yeah - guys pretty good. Averages a little under 1000 yards, 6 TDs and like 70 catches. Has a catch% of around 68% with assorted QBs like Cousins, Keenum, Bridgewater, Bradford. Can play inside and out. Athletic enough to fill some of that mckenzie role. If they did it, Id like to see them still add a young guy to grow into a role here and compete with foster/duke for that 4/5 spot. Someone like a Tyler Johnson, Brandon Aiyuk type should they slip into round 3.
  3. It would only make sense if Arizona signs a couple of big name free agents and are in need of the cap space created by trading him. Purely hypothetical - if offered would you consider. I wouldn't seek out this trade in any capacity.
  4. Good - i mean good for burrow graduating in 3 years etc. But if his goal is to play professional football, why does the NCAA hold him back? There's no pathway to the NFL that doesn't go through the NCAA so... figure it out.
  5. It's stupid that you have to graduate to transfer and be immediately available. The idea was that if you were a good student, and graduated early or whatever, you could pursue a graduate degree in the field of study where it might make more sense from an educational perspective. Not - i need to transfer to play football and attend minimal classes to meet NCAA requirements.
  6. Ehhhhh 7 touchbacks lead the league. and he had the 2nd worst net punting average in the NFL. He was better than the mid-season replacements in 2018 - but i'd bring someone in to compete either a rookie or something. Considering how often we punt id even consider drafting someone.
  7. 51.5 minus humphries new deal, and minus rookies? What are their needs though? I assume they would like to improve on 5-10-1. Their best receiver is 37 before the season starts, they have one of the worst defenses in the league, and their best 2 defenders are 30. If they keep drake at that rate (which i would think is low), you have 2 running backs making a ton of money... and less money to use to actually improve your team. Trading johnson would save them 8 million in space - which if used right can be another starter or two... or you can use that money on your backup running back.
  8. Because he'd be cut. So his new contract has nothing to do with his old one. It's just maximizing guarantees on a new deal.
  9. The reason they would consider it is because they ideally want to keep drake. You cant tie up that amount of money in 2 running backs and expect to be successful. The money saved basically goes right into drakes pocket. If freeman becomes available he would command a decent contract i would think. Below Drake/Henry but in the realm of gordon and hyde.
  10. Any interest in taking on the last 2 years of DJ's contract in a Brock Osweiler type of play? Not sure what it would take but maybe like DJ and a pickswap in the 2nd or 3rd or something. Would be an overpay, and a highly paid RB in general, but they get to clear all his base salary off the books, and RB2 is taken care of. Contract remaining would be basically 1 year 11 million, or 2 years 20 million (only guaranteed 2 mil for injury in 2021). Lot for a running back... but he's also a better more versatile back than gore. I'd only do it if the trade was also upgrading my draft selection this year.
  11. The marshawn lynch trade comes to mind. I know he was not without his issues here, but it felt like a bills crusade to slander him as much as possible on his way out.
  12. Backup QB often can bring a different view in film study vs. what Allen sees, or the QB coach, or offensive coordinator. Allen is still young, he's still learning - if barkley can be improved upon by bringing in someone like Henne, Moore, or McCoy - i say do it.
  13. If its incentive-laden and low guarantee then it truly doesn't matter. If he doesn't play well they can just cut him.
  14. I mean - what is the league minimum not guaranteed? Could be a useful camp body, and has a shot at redemption etc.
  15. Or who was snapping the ball ? My favorite thing about that was that he picked up the first on like 3rd and forever
  16. Levi is free garbage... he's also 24.
  17. Hence... buying low. Little to no guarantee - still have wallace. There's quite a few buy low type candidates. Buffalo only carried 4 last year for the most part with neal as nickel depth and primary special teams. There will likely be another on the practice squad. I'm not opposed to a trumaine johnson, or a jason verrett type of buy low with little to no guarantee. If they don't make the team out of camp its not harming the team to bring them in. I'd just like them also to sign someone else thats capable of starting, like a bradberry or something. 4 out of 5 DB spots are locked in, and wallace is still - pretty good. Why not try and improve that position though and the depth there. I'd rather write off dead money but end up with a really good player. Sign 3 and cut 2 - doesn't matter to me!
  18. Kevin johnson might actually be more expensive than this guy.
  19. Some sort of transportation from other areas would be huge. Metro rail gets you like... 15-20 minute walk away - which isn't really ideal. Buses with traffic down there... ubers... some semblence of tailgaiting - its all tough. Good thing Pegulas have a strong relationship with local government.
  20. Don't forget on core golf thing... and just the general first ward development. I get it - there's essentially a waterfront there for the taking. But can they like.. make it cleaner? I'm usually grossed out whenever im like boating on the river down there.
  21. Yeah - I'm sure they can do some kind of tray system or something - i know nothing about artificial turf. I do know that they just re-did the fieldhouse turf in OP and i still hate it. So spongey. On the plus side - they wont need to build a fieldhouse/practice facility downtown.
  22. They actually have natural grass believe it or not... If you wanted to do car shows or something you'd have to figure something out. Turf or grass can get wrecked pretty quickly by something like that.
  23. Thats a fair statement - but some of the promises are BS. The jobs you bring are all temporary - construction - temp workers to do concessions 15 times a year. The economic impact can be questionable too - parking, concessions, tickets... all that profit goes to the owners. I'm sure local businesses get a boost, but again were talking 10-15 times a year.
  24. Right - Don't get married or date someone seriously if that's the life you want to live. Not even a yankee fan, but Jeter never really had any issues like this... because what was the worst thing you could say? I slept with jeter, and he'd be like... i dunno - probably?
