  1. I don't think so - its just a position where players are underpaid and undervalued based on their contributions. There's a huge gap on 2nd contracts for running backs - they either get big money or like no money.
  2. Its tough because NFL draft guys rank players 1-100. That isn't really how you put a draft board together. You have players graded by round, position, etc. If you're going BPA you might have similar grades on 9-10 players at that spot. BPA there can be looked at like - Highest ceiling, Highest floor, Athletic freak who needs development, Ready to start immediately... etc.
  3. Still a good player, wonder where his head is at. He's 33, has earned about 150 million dollars (a lot of it in florida with no state income tax). Is he chasing a ring? Another max guarantee pay day? Another 1 year to hit free agency again next year?
  4. RBs really only get 2 deals, 3 if they're lucky. He's been in the league 5 years and made 15 million dollars. He's not getting top 5 money. 3 of the top 5 are absolutely regrettable contracts in Gurley, Bell, and David Johnson. Ekelers contract would seem to be appropriate. 4 year deal with an out after 2 and the base salaries are do-able.
  5. Yeah - you have to avoid the problems that Minnesota had. Find an identity and form it. I don't think the 3 offensive coordinators in 3 years did them any favors. Even so - they had a pretty good offense in 2/3 years. But i agree with you, this doesn't put buffalo in the talk of #1 offense unless Allen makes a Cam Newton like jump. It just puts them in that top half.
  6. It's a demanding job - i think he'll retire in a few years and move to front office permanently. He'll get President of Football Operations or something so he can still work football. Still watch a lot of football film, etc. Just less of the day to day coaching and gameplanning.
  7. Yeah, he replaces perine as the RB3 on gamedays. Or was it Perry? I dont remember and i don't care to look it up. In any case new ST running back wooooo
  8. I think Brady wants him in the slot with Evans and Godwin. Then he'd have the 2 TE's in Brate and Howard... pick in the top 15 can be Oline maybe? Young running back. It would be pretty lethal.
  9. 3 sacks in a walk year. Yet to get double digits in a season. I know sometimes things fall in your lap and the number goes up and down... but 3? all year? for a guy who wants to be paid the highest at the position? 4 forced fumbles is a nice stat - but you don't pay run stopping DE's 20 million a year.
  10. Yeah - the jags paid him about 30 mil for 1 year.
  11. Theyre an interesting team. Probably another year away - the defense is losing some good players and the offense is mediocre at best. Another WR helps a lot - but a new Dline and a mediocre oline are what hinder this team.
  12. I'm gonna say Ed O. He was starting to make some moves at the end of the year.
  13. If you remove dimarco and consider the new guy core special teams it doesn't make a huge difference.
  14. Once the music stops and there aren't any chairs, i think he'll go to a team with a young starter. Once Newton and Dalton are moved i think he becomes the last real option. NE, LAC, CHI all have pretty open spots. If Chicago doesn't make a move for newton or dalton, i think they could be a good spot for him. Washington could be an interesting landing spot for any of those guys as well depending on their thoughts around pick #2. Miami also could think he is an upgrade over fitz (he is).
  15. He wants a new deal, he will not play under the current one with his injury history.
  16. Gotta lock up at least one to have the tag available for another. White's 5th year option buys you another year. But then you're looking at the Allen extension and it becomes a game of who stays and who goes on the whole roster.
  17. Wasn't biscuit a trade/contract dispute thing? In any case, i agree. They needed a CB, DT, DE, and OLB - thats what they lost. They got a NT, a 3T DT, a pass rushing DE, 2 LBs who can also help on special teams replace alexander, and a former all-pro corner they are trying to squeeze a final season out of. They filled holes along the dline rotation, re-upped spain once Thuney came off the market, and made the big move for diggs.
  18. The league year hasn't even started yet. Dawkins and Milano are both FAs after 2020, and they have a 5th year option for white in 2021.
  19. I mean.. we lost 3 players on defense to FA, and 1 retired. He replaced them with... what 6 players? Yeah, buffalo is out of the comp pick game. I'm not sure all of them will qualify - norman wont and the LB from pitt might not hit the salary threshold. In any case, a ton of cap room meant it was likely they would sign a lot of players. What they didn't do was try and make splashy moves. It's refreshing to see so much before the league year starts though that people are wondering if we're fully done with FA. I think he waits a bit so the remaining players prices go down, probably snag some o-line help or a WR. I know they like Barkley, but I'd like to see some interest in the QB market as well.
  20. I feel like the 3 picks have less value than that but that's just me. 5 and 6th round picks dont move the needle and a 4th in 2021 is less valuable than a 4th in 2020.
  21. Hey - it looks better when you see what the browns did with the picks they got. Sammy Watkins for Justin Gilbert, Cameron Erving, and Ibraheim Campbell
  22. Well.. He didn't give up next years 1st in addition to this years. So to start, the compensation is significantly lower. He's on an affordable contract for 4 years and is a proven commodity. 2? Is this a trick question?
  23. Isn't that Xavien Howard?
  24. I like the conclusion that he came with - a proven #1 WR vs. a guy drafted at pick #22. After this season, you know more of what you have with Josh Allen than if you draft the guy.
