  1. Good stuff. I know you probably didn't include dalton because he is technically not "available". I also think he may try and go somewhere to start. Chicago maybe... Tampa... Chargers... or Tennessee should they lose tannehill. Someone's going to trade for Newton too, so Carolina may become a landing spot for all these guys too. Bridgewater is the wildcard i think since he has 6 starts in 3 years, but Jimmy G got that big deal and it seems to be working for them. He'll probably get paid, so buffalo would pass. Mariota to me doesn't look like a starter, but neither does trubiskey so maybe they add him there and just see what happens. I would like him as a backup though, he's a lot like tyrod. Winstons on a 5th year option, and you're kind of playing with fire if you release him - but i wouldn't blame them in the slightest. It becomes a very attractive landing spot for a number of QBs. Chargers should walk from rivers, and i honestly like them to move up and grab Tua if he's remotely healthy. It's a Russ Brandon marketing move to sell tickets - but they have to do it. Tennessee will probably try and get something done with Tannehill so they can tag henry and work out an extension. Patriots brady, Saints Brees. The rest a merry-go-round of mediocrity. Would love to snag a Henne to upgrade barkley. Especially watching him flounder around in the rain.
  2. Yeah - i wonder when dave toub is going to get a shot. You're also coaching up a lot of young guys, backups, fundamentals etc.
  3. Pretty solidly coached unit. Multiple blocks this year - coached slater and ebner into studs. I think MAYBE they're going for someone who just... leads? Maybe?
  4. I know he's a fullback... But he is a football player. He should be able to catch a pass... If he can't- get rid of him. The idea is u get singletary in man cov. With a linebacker. You sacrifice by also having LBs on Smith and dimarco.
  5. Yeah - Jim Johnson's disciples all seem to know what they're doing to some degree. Pretty solid legacy of guys there... Rivera, McDermott, Frazier, Harbaugh... and some OK dudes in Spagnuolo, and Pagano. Not all of them were made to be Head Coaches - but the pay raise you get to do it is probably worth it.
  6. Bears - but i think that one was largely QB related... Yeah - i figured he'd get some rooney rule invites - but dallas interviewed marvin lewis instead and it seems like eric bienemy is the hot young coordinator.
  7. When Dak had the coin toss issue a few weeks ago - i didnt mind that they changed it. Why? because it didn't happen on the field. It's completely procedural. The fact that they still have a live coin toss on the field is wholly unnecessary. They could easily figure this out in the locker room or during warmups, or just have home teams get the ball in the 2nd half. This call bothers me because it happened on the field. I don't care what the intention was. I intended to dive into the endzone for a TD, but fumbled it into the end zone. I'll take the ball back please. Since when does intent matter in a football game?
  8. Yeah i feel ya there. I liked that he lines up all over the place, has insanely good hands, good size, makes contested catches, and some twitch to his route running that i think will translate to the NFL. Question will be how he runs at the combine. If he's in the 4.5 range i think he'll get a 1st round grade. Tremendous production, mixed with a lot of highlights in a lot of big games. As much as teams say they go BPA - there will be holes that need filling in Olines, D-lines, and cornerback. Talent will slip into the 2nd round, always happens.
  9. Yeah - the 1 year of contract control, the nature of it being a WR heavy draft, etc. Means its harder to confidently offer a 1st.
  10. Why would they trade him? Theyre like at the cap and he's cheap. Makes no sense.
  11. Yeah - or at least like... touched him? Watching it in slo-mo its hard to tell what morse really could have done there. I imagine its even harder to determine what he could do at full speed.
  12. It was one of those - was that your guy or my guy etc. It def looked like it was knox's man though. Morse pulling there to block that LB doesn't really make sense - he has more ground to cover than the linebacker does. I think morse is there to cut block anyone who gets through the traffic clean like he did earlier.
  13. I think his days as a starter ended when tannehill came out to the same offense and basically lit it up. He'd be a good fit here, similar athleticism to allen. He possesses a lot of the skill sets that tyrod had - Takes care of the ball, but also gets sacked a lot. Pretty accurate on certain routes, but struggles throwing people open/jump balls. Not particularly accurate on deep balls either. I know we extended barkley but even if we carried him all the way through camp the most he would cost is about 500k against the cap if they released him. Its a position that needs upgrading. I'd also want to take a look at Dalton (should he get cut). One of Dalton, Bridgewater, Mariota should end up with the chargers - but i wonder too if they move up to draft Tua. Rivers Brady Brees is also a strange conundrum - but i see 2 out of 3 just going right back. Rivers either retires or plays with the chargers imo. Colts situation is also interesting... There won't be as many changes i think this year because guys like foles and flacco really can't be moved - and that kind of limits what those teams do at QB.
  14. Easy first down there too and he probably trots out of bounds unharmed. Instead he got absolutely lit up on 1st down. Imagine they get the PF there for lowering the head to initiate contact on Allen (the 2018 rule change everyone hated)... instead of buffalo getting a personal foul for trying to block a guy chasing the QB (the 2019 rule change everyone hates).
  15. Well... the illegal blindside block was pretty rough there at the end. Allen got to about the 38. I'm not sure what the playcall is there - i don't know what Hauschka would have said to McDermott but i think we would have tried to kick it there.
  16. I see the chargers trying to jump miami - they need fans and QBs are the best way to get them. If washington is sold on Chase Young at 2 - i could see them moving to 3 (and giving up a lot in the process). I think detroit will try and move down to either steal an extra first from miami, or grab a 2021 first and other picks from LAC. Defense needs help, and the offense is a lot better with stafford than... blough? This is all under the assumption his rehab goes well and workouts etc.
  17. He was all-pro for a reason. His regular season stats were also really really good. Underrated part of a defense first team - and one that after saturday McBeane will definitely be looking to upgrade.
  18. Yeah - long offseason though. I think he needs to get away from hiring the same people like philbin or mcadoo. It makes sense to bring along guys you have either worked with in the past etc. But sometimes *cough* juan castillo *cough* - that guy isn't a very good coach.
  19. I think part of it was issues with rodgers, and just a general complacency. I don't think he worked as hard as he could have in GB and it honestly showed. Playbook wasn't evolving, just a super stagnant predictable offense that worked because rodgers is really good, and had freedom at the LOS. He didn't have a hand in personnel, but i felt like him and the GM were a bit disconnected too. Jerry is not an easy man to work for, but i think time away from football and rodgers will help him. Maybe he turns back the clock and goes to his roots here with a marty ball style rush offense. Who knows - but i do think he realizes that he needs to adapt some.
  20. If he keeps both hands on it and keeps the ball high (as awkward as it looks and sounds to move forward in the pocket with the ball like that) he probably doesn't fumble. It seems like the 2nd pat is when he loses grip on the ball, and mercilus hits him at basically the same time. He's moving around there like Favre used to... and Favre had the most fumbles like. ever.
  21. Fumbling while rushing can absolutely be fixed - its the way he holds the ball lower and away from his chest. He needs to focus on that this offseason, too many guys seemed to be punching at it. He also needs to just slide more. As for just general fumbling - LJ had 12 in 7 starts in 2019 and 9 in 15 starts in 2018. For a running QB you're more likely to fumble than probably any other player - but Allens problems this year were more prevalent. Regarding the play in this one that turned the game - Holding the ball on your hip with 1 hand in the pocket... is not secure. I felt he was careless there. Keep the ball up high where you can throw or tuck it.
  22. Brady 07 is pretty tough too. 4800 50 and 8 completing nearly 70% of passes. And they didn't lose til the super bowl. 2013 manning was ridiculous. Mahomes 2018 just started so ridiculous - 14 TDs and no picks through 4 weeks. 26 and 6 throgh 8 weeks. I don't know why they didn't do more to chase the 55.
