  1. Id rather hear what he would have called instead Don't try to be romo. Just say what you see and how you would make adjustments. Quick analysis on where the ball should have gone when a QB makes a mistake. Etc.
  2. Guy makes plays down the field though. He just doesn't bring actual 4.4 separation to the tape. He makes a lot of plays, great at high pointing - great at contested catches down field and over the middle. I also feel like he's that guy thats just... open when you scramble. Finds the open grass or something. Shades of doug baldwin.
  3. It's one of the issues that the Fed has pushed on states, so the enforcement and laws are different.
  4. I mean - he legally can't carry it in the state. Let alone at the airport. Huge lapse in judgement.
  5. Yeah - someone else worry about his footwork or wonky arm motions etc. I just need him to read the field and make the right decisions quickly.
  6. I watch a decent amount of big 10 football... but i cant say i watch the DE on Iowa. I have no idea if he's good.
  7. Medical came back fine i believe. Not sure on the odds of recurrence - i remember reading Pitta dislocated his hip a few times and it basically ended a promising career. He also has missed time with high ankle sprains that he had surgically repaired so... There's definitely a checkered injury history there.
  8. I think BB is NE for life at this point. He lives 30 minutes from the stadium on a golf course, probably has a summer home on marthas vineyard or nantucket or something. They'll make him President of football operations/GM.
  9. He's better than the free agent WRs available, but i don't think it makes financial sense for them to trade him. They restructured his contract to lower his cap hit a couple of years ago... time to pay the piper. You're stuck with him. Well the team acquiring him wouldnt be on the hook for that. He has signing bonus, restructure bonus, and all sorts of other money tied up through 2021. If buffalo traded for him i think they would just owe him 1 million which is guaranteed for 2021 if they wanted to part ways.
  10. I believe they owe a certain amount of PSLs to meet the terms of that lease though - so while he doesn't need his fans there he does need to sell some people something or it comes out of his revenue share.
  11. I just look at it from an owners perspective. He moved the team from SD because of money - and if he doesn't get season ticket sales moving quickly he's going to lose a ton of money. The whole move to LA was short-sighted and stupid. They don't have fans there. No ones driving 3 hours in traffic to and from a chargers game - and the Rams already played there.
  12. New empty stadium... Makes sense from a marketing perspective. They could also be going all-in on a year or 2 of brady to try and move some PSLs and season tickets. They are incredibly short on PSLs in the new stadium (https://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeozanian/2019/10/11/los-angeles-chargers-revenue-could-take-hit-from-low-psl-sales/), and it would end up hitting the owner in the wallet if he can't move them. We'll know more once FA shakes out.
  13. Gonna cost a lot - the option of getting chase young is pretty appetizing. Having him fall to 4 would be hilarious - considering Gettleman wanted originally to trade the pick. Jets traded #6 and 3 2nd rounders. Gotta think another 1st in 2021 and 2 2nds might get it done. If Haskins gets moved to the right team it could be good for his career. Lets be real - washington is probably the terrible situation. If pittsburgh, or NO grabbed him it will probably be a better spot for him. Give him at least a year to sit and learn from a HOFer.
  14. If Tua goes at 2, they may panic and overpay in a trade up. Chargers can only offer so much to try and get Herbert and the dolphins have a lot more draft picks. I wonder if Cardale Jones would have had more cheering.
  15. All it takes is a QB on a mediocre team to go down and they can lose lawrence though. Carr gets hurt, or Mayfield, or Brissett or something. They could immediately become one of the worst teams in the league.
  16. They're in the drivers seat though - if someone wants him now they know they're going to have to pony up a ton. I don't think its nuts... The roster wasn't great but i didn't see Haskins do anything that really jumped out. If you think you can get a better QB prospect, you should probably do it.
  17. Yep - at the end of the day a few of the teams in need of QBs this year after the QB carousel would probably be interested. I'm sure pittsburgh would be interested if the price was right. Same with New Orleans, Vegas, LAC, or Carolina.
  18. Cardinals did it with new coaching staff... and they don't seem to regret doing it. You have a shot at a QB many thought was a consensus #1 draft pick a year ago... why wouldn't you do it?
  19. This is very true - you get to train with a team instead of on your own. You get to put more film out there that might convince teams to sign you at the end of the season. If you don't sign a futures deal at the end of the NFL season - you have this as your way of playing football in the spring. It doesn't pay super well, but by the end of april the seasons over and teams will have something to watch to determine whether you're worth signing.
  20. I love how much stock gets put in the combine - and how many mistakes likely get made because of it. There's some combination of the "quality of athlete" that the combine provides, the film which shows who they are, and your scouts and GM determining what they can become.
  21. Jeffersons interesting because he did a lot from the slot. Do his skills translate to a z type receiver?
  22. I do wonder what tyreke hill would have run had he been invited. I haven't completely given up on ross but its not looking good. He just had his best season, and it wasn't good. This is also combine only speed - so taking out all the pro day people who have run some 4.30's.
  23. I think the XFL will prove an alternative for some young players with different circumstances, but i agree it will mostly consist of washouts. Which is fine - there will be some cool redemption stories to come out of it, and honestly the football is fine. I believe they were floating AFC home 1 year, and NFC home the next and having the 17th game be inter-conference based on the division finish the previous year.
  24. Didn't we trade him to move up in a draft? i doubt he'd be interested in a reunion. Teams always need oline depth - he'll get a job.
