  1. I'm of the opinion that you can truly joke about anything.
  2. Oh man... I pretty much only play online with friends in party chat to avoid all that. Now if you listen to my call of duty warzone party chat you'll just repeatedly hear me say "wow i suck", "why am i so bad at shooting?", "why do i play this game?", and "are you serious?!"
  3. The rush to judgement in many cases is what bothers me the most. Al Franken resigned like 2 weeks after accusations. None of which could or would have likely been proven - all to help his party. In the end Kristen Gillibrand used it as the launching point for her incredible failure of a presidential campaign. Yeah - much like the tunsil draft day photo... timing for someone doing this was not great. Very clearly meant to tarnish his reputation - must've been a bad breakup or something.
  4. he was also like 15. I was talking about this to my buddy the other day, we didn't have twitter then - but imagine some of the crap we said when we played counterstrike....
  5. I probably would at least consider it? Might be easier to stash on the PS now in any case.
  6. I probably would have spoken out loud - but the messaging is fine i guess. It somewhat reads - sorry i got called out for something i said.
  7. Needs to be open to sitting down with every single guy on the team... and being open to listening to them. Trying to understand where others are coming from. Empathy. He probably looks at casual joking racism as "im not really racist", but in all reality - that's something that enables deeper discrimination. Making it funny and OK is one of the main problems.
  8. I'd even go so far as to have an emotional like - speaking post. A written apology probably isn't enough here. Speak from the heart - accept responsibility and blame. Say how you're trying to be a better person - and give up some of that signing bonus towards a charity.
  9. I tend to agree - it was said in a personal conversation... doesn't necessarily represent his beliefs. But its also possibly the worst time something like this could be leaked out. And his teammates have all seen it at this point... What he says next will basically make or break whether he has a career or not.
  10. Yeah, gotta think something went down. But good luck trying to win the room now.
  11. Still... It leaked. And he said some horribly ignorant stuff... at a really bad time. He's gotta do some serious damage control to try and save his career. He was fringe material before this, now ur own teammates see who you can be behind closed doors. Like... An apology is huge, a personal change is huger. Especially after the stuff McDermott said in his presser.
  12. A factor i hadn't thought about... there will be far less revenue this season if they decide to play without fans. The cap's probably going down in 2021, so to me that seems likely that teams try and create space this season to drag into next season since estimates are saying it could be as much as 30 million lower. Murphy+long (cheap replacements), and even norman/hauschka (if they don't beat out wallace/bass) seem like possible cuts to try and target that 30 million-ish amount to drag into 2021. Barkley (fromm/webb) and roberts (mckenzie and mccloud) are cheap enough that i think they could get moved for late round picks. I'd also consider harrison phillips in a tough spot as well from a playing time perspective. He's under contract through 2021, but if he's going to be inactive on gamedays it might make sense to either move him for a player at more of a need position (maybe LB on a rookie deal), or a pick.
  13. He played corner a little in week 17 iirc. Dawkins will have another TD this year for sure. Guys got hands! Probably faster too.
  14. If teams are playing man and bracketing diggs, that means you have beas and brown likely in 1x1 situations, same with knox. Also if you bracket diggs... there's a likelihood for a lot of space for the RB underneath to make plays. The other problem with playing straight man coverage - if you don't spy Allen, he can hurt you with his legs. If you do spy allen, you create a lot of time for players to uncover.
  15. Probably made more sense to trade the first in the offseason since - you knew where it was, and you had an idea where the top 3 WRs were going. If it required a trade up to get say Lamb - you may have given up more than what they gave up in this trade.
  16. I already worked from home in buffalo - but my company is located in St. Louis, and they are not planning to open the offices until October at the earliest. 2021 is also a scenario in their mind. They're more focused on getting all the warehouses, integration centers, etc. 100% opened. Figured I'd give a "rest of US" update.
  17. I think Murphy sticks or is cut - his money is too high this late in the game for a lot of teams to take him on. I think he stays tbh. Gaines could be an option. Foster and McKenzie as well. Depends on the rookies.
  18. I mean - the condensed offseason is a big challenge. Going from Jeudy, Ruggs, Smith to Parker, hurns, williams... is a major challenge. The offensive line in Miami isn't particularly strong either. Not sure i love Chan there either, his offenses always have too many turnovers... (he also has fitz...).
  19. I didn't love Miami's 2019 draft. 2020 was obviously better but they had the benefit of 3 1sts (and i don't even love the 3 firsts). Ton of cap space so they spent a ton, but i'm not sure they were particularly wise with it. Fitz is cheap and they got tua cheap for 4 years so try and find pieces that work, so a little overspend isn't bad. Def going secondary heavy - which makes the move to move minkah so strange. They now have an incredibly expensive secondary, and very little in the way of pass rush. Offensively - they moved their best running back in drake - and i think they did a nice job replacing him with howard and breida. The only issue i have there is how much money they invested at RB, while doing nothing at WR. Made a bunch of changes along the oline... but I'm not sure Jackson is going to be good in year 1 with no camp, and flowers and karras stink (and are now overpaid). So i like some moves - but i don't know that paying that much for byron jones, and van noy is going to put them over the edge. As for pass rush - i don't know that ogbah and lawson get it done either. Building a rushing offense should start up front - this wasn't the greatest FA class there but i felt like they missed. Fitz is a total wildcard - he'll put up points/yards, but he's a 6-8 win QB. I'd play tua late in the year just to get some reps, get a feel for the game etc. Might try something similar to what the bills did with ford with jackson - get some snaps but don't throw the guy completely to the wolves.
  20. With the more difficult schedule, the same number of wins might be progress.
  21. Kittle was 2nd team all-pro in 2018, and first team in 2019. Over the last 2 seasons he's been considered by many to be among the top 2-3 players at his position. He's also probably the best player on their offense. He's 26 and hasn't really made any money yet. Waller has never been all-pro, and prior to 2019 had 18 catches and wasn't even the pro bowl alternate.
  22. Hooper is getting 10.5 to be a... top 10 TE. Aaron Donald makes significantly more than any other DTs and signed his deal in 2018. Mccaffreys new deal is more than zeke/gurley - but thats a case of all of them being all-pros. If he just gets like 11 or 12, then he'll get surpassed in like year 2 of his deal. Yeah - you're playing with fire a bit though. 5th round pick who hasn't gotten paid, and hasn't gotten that signing bonus. I don't think he'd hold out but he seems the type to vocally be upset.
  23. Its a slap in the face at 11. He wants to be the McCaffrey of TEs, as he believes he is that much better than the others.
  24. When Austin Hooper gets 11... And kittle is a lot better than him... He will get a lot more. 15 seems about right, wouldn't surprise me if it was more. He is a very good blocker, and also a tremendous athlete. 4 years younger than kelce too. Kittle prob signs for 4 years to set up another contract at age 30. My guess is 4/60ish 3 years of practical guarantees and he gets an extension after 3.
  25. I mean... They had the 2nd best rushing attack. That would indicate some solid TE blocking, not sack numbers.. since kittle is probably running routes on pass plays. He will get the highest paid TE money, or he gets tagged and it becomes a problem. He's made nothing so far as a 5th rounder, so I assume there's a lot of incentive to get the deal done now so he can get a signing bonus. 4 and 60 or 6 and 90 seem like good numbers to me. Good TEs can really help rushing offenses too. Baltimore and SF were rushing beasts. Probably not a huge coincidence that the NE rushing attack went to hell after gronk retired too.
