  1. It depends where the evaluation puts haskins in relation to Tua, Herbert, Love etc. If you think Tua is better, you should probably take him. You won't get value for haskins - but if you fix the most important position on the field you will be forgiven.
  2. You aren't wrong - but theres no guarantee lawrence is yours next year. It's just suuuch an important position. You can figure some of the other stuff out as you go along.
  3. He's a day one starter and its not even close imo. Had more passing yards than Wash st. qb on 180 fewer attempts. Isn't a 1 trick pony who relies on his guys for YAC, if anything his ball placement and ability to buy time created more YAC for them. Athletic enough to be a threat with his legs. I was always impressed with those touch passes on crossers, and to running backs.. set his guys up for big gains. His deep ball always seemed really solid too, great touch. Oh and there's the big game feel - I know stats aren't like... everything related to QB and draft grades... But in the 3 biggest games of the year he averaged... 70% comp, 435 yards (on 42 attempts), and 6 TDs (16 through the air and 2 on the ground). Really impressive. I don't think I'd trade the pick. I think you can build something with him - assuming he's going to show up and play for you.
  4. Well.. he's probably the greatest every to suit up at the most important position on the field so... you make exceptions.
  5. Woof. If those are your starters... im running the ball.
  6. His injury last year was a big problem... they used 4 different kickers last year. He also wasn't great when kicking. 4 missed xp's on 15 tries. He had a rough year in 2018 too. He's 35 and wasn't consistent anymore... unfortunately it was time to move on.
  7. Who knows how they do it now... considering its probably going to be on a basically closed set.
  8. I think the chart doesn't really work for high first round picks. Teams are squeezing a lot more out of those picks it seems.
  9. I would agree. He's late to the party so he didn't want to be standing when the music stopped. I don't think he's looking for another free agency next year though, i think this is an attempt to find a new home. He wasn't going to get a multi-year offer with corona preventing teams from doing the extended physical look, and this will give him a chance to reset his value a bit.
  10. Teams are going to say - what the rams did was a mistake. Agents are saying - genius gurley - hold out before the 4th year and force them to extend you. He got cut after what would have been the 5th year option... and more than tripled the income he would have brought in. I don't think teams will overpay backs anymore, but running backs are going to start renegotiating contracts if they're smart. It didn't work for gordon... but he also didn't basically win the MVP in 2017, and waited until he was limited by the 5th year option. Teams can cut you after 1 year on your contract - why can't you hold out?
  11. Johnson and love would be the odd men out if they draft someone in round 2 or 3. They need to push a veteran out of a spot in a heavily rotated position. To take murphys 3rd DE spot, they need to have flexibility to play both sides, need to be able to play rush and pass downs, as well as special teams. Both can be on the practice squad though
  12. Footsteps falco? There's still some job openings... Daltons still under contract, but no compensation needed for Flacco. New England, Jax, Chargers... etc.
  13. Good - hes motivated. At the end of the day, its an important year. Hughes, Addison, Murphys not a bad 3 man rotation. We have to have a rookie we like so much that we are comfortable cutting him.
  14. Great player - not best in the league and thats what he's asking to be paid. The injury history is very concerning though. Seems like he is always banged up, and always missing time.
  15. I don't think so - its just a position where players are underpaid and undervalued based on their contributions. There's a huge gap on 2nd contracts for running backs - they either get big money or like no money.
  16. Its tough because NFL draft guys rank players 1-100. That isn't really how you put a draft board together. You have players graded by round, position, etc. If you're going BPA you might have similar grades on 9-10 players at that spot. BPA there can be looked at like - Highest ceiling, Highest floor, Athletic freak who needs development, Ready to start immediately... etc.
  17. Still a good player, wonder where his head is at. He's 33, has earned about 150 million dollars (a lot of it in florida with no state income tax). Is he chasing a ring? Another max guarantee pay day? Another 1 year to hit free agency again next year?
  18. RBs really only get 2 deals, 3 if they're lucky. He's been in the league 5 years and made 15 million dollars. He's not getting top 5 money. 3 of the top 5 are absolutely regrettable contracts in Gurley, Bell, and David Johnson. Ekelers contract would seem to be appropriate. 4 year deal with an out after 2 and the base salaries are do-able.
  19. Yeah - you have to avoid the problems that Minnesota had. Find an identity and form it. I don't think the 3 offensive coordinators in 3 years did them any favors. Even so - they had a pretty good offense in 2/3 years. But i agree with you, this doesn't put buffalo in the talk of #1 offense unless Allen makes a Cam Newton like jump. It just puts them in that top half.
  20. It's a demanding job - i think he'll retire in a few years and move to front office permanently. He'll get President of Football Operations or something so he can still work football. Still watch a lot of football film, etc. Just less of the day to day coaching and gameplanning.
  21. Yeah, he replaces perine as the RB3 on gamedays. Or was it Perry? I dont remember and i don't care to look it up. In any case new ST running back wooooo
  22. I think Brady wants him in the slot with Evans and Godwin. Then he'd have the 2 TE's in Brate and Howard... pick in the top 15 can be Oline maybe? Young running back. It would be pretty lethal.
