  1. Chargers now have the numbers on the helmets... so it kinda makes sense for them.
  2. Right. Figure 1a/1b on game days with taiwan probably as a ST guy. Dimarco active every game though? That I'm starting to doubt with guys like Matakevich and Klein being added to help the special teams group. What am i saying? Adding a primary pass catching back to play the White/Lewis/Woodhead/Faulk style role could be in the cards. Is it Yeldon? I guess it could be, but I personally would like to see someone a bit more dynamic there.
  3. Need to give him a physical with the injury history. He sucked last year too, but how much of that can be oline etc. Either way, draft first. If it doesn't fall the way they want, he could be considered a fall-back option. Hell, he might even be considered as an upgrade for Yeldon too.
  4. You can't guarantee Dobbins... or anyone really at pick 54. The top 3 or 5 backs could get drafted. They're saying we're focused on the draft because they don't know if its a position of need til post draft. Also - if you could get devonta freeman for less money and no trade... its going to be hard to get anything for coleman.
  5. Either way - Murray spent a 1st on Lehner... and it didn't work. His time here was basically alcohol and drug abuse, and Murray did nothing to help or prevent. JB hasn't fixed goaltending either. Its been a problem since Miller and the Sabres have basically been bad since Miller.
  6. I'm not a QB evaluator so it's hard to say. I saw a lot of positives in Tua's game on the field - but i don't know how to filter the like... crazy loaded offensive line, RB's, WRs from his game. The rumored white board issues are also a red flag. I also watched Herbert play and was like... What am i missing? Where is the like, can't miss from him? I watched half of 1 wyoming game when Allen was there and he zipped an out route for a first down and I immediately thought "Ok i see where they're coming from".
  7. No scoring depth whatsoever. Hutton losing every start from 10/24 to February certainly didn't help their standing.
  8. And what did he inherit from a prospect pool? Oloffson? Is that really it? The O'reilly trade is terrible, but was his hand forced? Do you fire him for that when TP may have made the final call? That kind of thing gets around if you do that. Let me emphasize that I don't think he did a good job. The Skinner move was alright. Hutton has been just terrible this year after a promising start, but they really need to fix goaltending. I'm just saying like... what does one even do to fix the middle six? Prospects don't show up in 3 years since they're all drafted at age 18. I think he's trying to take a more patient approach to a rebuild than what Murray did. Murray gutted the prospect pool depth for NHL players, and built a flawed roster.
  9. They rolled a lot of hard play action a lot with Tannehill, and he was money on deep throws. With Gase he played in that offense that is very much driven towards short passing. In the playoffs, they didn't really need Tannehill to do too much. Defense was money with turnovers (3 of 4 TDs against Baltimore started on the Ravens side of the field), had a huge goal line stand against NE (and another huge penalty that nullified a big play), huge 4th down stops against Baltimore (4 turnover on downs), they limited possessions by running the ball so much, and Kern punted pretty well. I don't think their playoff wins are a sustainable strategy for success other than just, having a good defense. Sometimes you're going to need to put up points, and sometimes you need to pivot from running and play action (say being behind on the scoreboard).
  10. Don't love the yellow pants, but its a good kind of different. I like the numbers on the helmets too - an interesting touch. The 2 color rush jerseys are unique without being over the top. Overall they did a great job.
  11. I mean... Breida, Mostert, Mckinnon, Coleman, Juszyck. Thats a lot of backs. None of them are on rookie deals either. With Fournette on the block at a 4 million dollar hit - you have to wonder what the market looks like for both players.
  12. All restaurants closed, all sports teams making 0 income, all hotels likely operating on a loss... Since he sold his company though, how much of his income is actively tied up in the US oil prices? I'm sure a large portion of his income would be tied up in hedge funds, as any wealth management person would emphasize diversification over pure investment in oil futures. I think he probably still owns oil rich land, but selling that now wouldn't be particularly wise. This is probably where his net worth comes from outside of the bills. I doubt anyone is currently buying when more oil is getting stored in warehouses than normal. Plus why sell something for 10cents on the dollar now, when it could be worth significantly more in like 5 years? So where's cash coming from? I don't feel bad for billionaires, and i don't sympathize with these issues. I'm just trying to rationally look at this situation and understand maybe why they're doing things the way they are. If they went from 1.9 million to -20 million i think i would probably fire a lot of people too...
  13. It's a lot more of the same of what the guys from the athletic have been saying on twitter for weeks. Essentially dragging them for the layoffs and everything going on at PSE.
  14. Yeah, the little jet motion pass is something they have done quite a bit of. I don't hate shovel passes in the red zone either. Low level of turnover - even though they counted one as an Allen fumble and confirmed it. I think i watched like 12 games of Brady's last year, and i watched him spike probably 50 screens into the ground. That may be a conservative estimate.
  15. That's basically where I'm at. Keep dragging them Tim, it means nothing to me. I still like the bills and sabres. Possibly the only thing they own currently that might spin a profit in 2020.
  16. Considering last season Buffalo had an injury, and still had enough depth to move 2 players for picks. That's something I think Beane wants every year.
  17. Is he going to play under his current deal for 1 year? Or is he going to be a holdout distraction? I have no interest in an extension or 5th year option. Would just buy you a year to draft someone. If he's cut i'd want him even less. Right now hes on a 1yr 4 million deal. I know timing isn't great for him since a lot of teams are tapped out, but he'd probably want more than gordon, howard, and gurley. He's better than gordon and howard, and doesn't carry an injury risk like gurley. So he'd be looking for more money.
  18. I would like this pick. Immediately our primary gunner on special teams, and playing hybrid CB/S/LB for some snaps.
  19. I think if anyone ever told me they were a geologist it'd be like that time Jerry called the Dermatologist "Pimple popper!"... then realized they treat skin cancer. Rock Scientist! Oh right... oil and natural gas...
  20. Yeah - they may have changed from a flat rate to a quota system, or any number of those random things consultants come in and propose. Any change to a sales persons pay structure is met with disdain.
  21. I just read the whole article... Here are my conclusions Tim Graham - I get being outraged etc. But for whatever reason it never comes off as journalism. It reads very editorial for whatever reason, and like a pissed off editorial. PSE - A few things 1-they're clearly struggling with cash flow (None of their sports franchises are producing any income, their restaurants and hotels are either closed or losing money, and they have assets tied up probably in real estate and the stock market (not exactly a good time to sell Oil Futures)) 2-They're billionaires so people don't feel bad. So I guess Tim Graham wants them to borrow money to give to people? Or does he want them to sell the sabres or bills or something? 3-It doesn't sound like Kim is doing a particularly good job. But it sounds like things aren't as good behind the scenes as she'd made it out to be in public. So maybe thats what Tim is trying to expose? At the end of the day, businesses make money. If you're losing money you have to find ways to make money. Layoffs are a part of that. It may be "tone-deaf" to do it during a pandemic, but it's happening everywhere. I didn't realize the Sabres were doing so poorly financially. I know he spent a bunch of money early on and they failed, but it sounds like the caps going up but TV and ticket prices aren't mirroring in smaller markets. This to me points to another lockout. You can't give players money that doesn't exist. You also can't get out of fully guaranteed contracts very efficiently
  22. Ngakoue is on a franchise tag - adams is on year 4 with a 5th year option. The extension for ngakoue would be more than adams too. Adams is coming off a first-team all-pro season though so is this really the best you can do? A DE who you have to immediately give 20mil per year for, when you could just sign clowney for 20 mil per year and not have to lose your all-pro safety.
