Rookie WRs are going to struggle against man almost every time. Getting off the line in press. The ones that don't are like the athletic freak types like Moss who make a living off the contested catches. Diggs does all of those things well right now, and knows what it takes to be a pro. In years 1-3 of this deal he should outperform everyone drafted.

Some sneaky stars in the Bills win over the Jets
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to LB48's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They covered him too... which allen almost seemed disappointed with. Though I'm glad they did, he was terrible throwing when rolling left. -
Get another guy on the PS so you can elevate imo. Cost is cheap and you lose likely i dunno nate becker? I guess its dependent on who isn't available though. Probably won't know until tomorrow.

Browns figured out why they lost to the Ravens
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to richNjoisy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's like watching the bills with like watkins and everyone. Some big plays and big names - but at the end of the day they will drop a key 3rd down, take a bad penalty, or just miss a throw at an inopportune time. If they don't run well they won't win. I'm also not sure what baker is at this point. He's supposed to be the accurate one of the class, and you see it on some of the 10-20 yard stuff. But the short stuff was supposed to be his bread and butter, and it just isn't. He's late and off-target constantly. His pocket presence also hasn't really improved. I do think he'll end up having a 2nd career somewhere other than cleveland. Maybe Tennessee when tannehill inevitably does tannehill things. -
PFF Refocused Week 1 - Bills vs Jets
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right - if you give me cover 2, then the deep stuff to diggs and brown will always be tough to complete. But it creates opportunity for bease and knox up those seams. You can also work deep crossers and get those safeties making decisions side to side. -
In any case - was this an odd week in kicking in general? Kickers were 42/58 on the day (72%), with 4 total misses under 40... 7 if you count the 3 missed XPs on the day as well. Not sure if it was a lack of preseason or what but it seemed like kickers missed a lot of kicks yesterday.

PFF Refocused Week 1 - Bills vs Jets
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They weren't having any success running under center so they went largely with motion and read-option. The jets kept playing it to keep the ball in allen's hands. Other's will do this if he keeps failing to secure it. -
PFF Refocused Week 1 - Bills vs Jets

There were a ton of dig routes in this game. They're fearing diggs/brown over the top - and allens arm strength gets the ball there. YAC there isn't important since you most likely moved the sticks or put you in a good position on 3rd. -
We learned a Screen Game over the offseason
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone said coming in they expected blitz, and it seemed like they had the jets number on those blitzes. They also played a lot of cover 2 to take away anything deep, and we were pretty content to just take what they gave us. -
Unsung hero today Andre Roberts

That was as time expired in the half too IIRC... yuck. -
Which Bills did you draft in fantasy?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BuffaloBillies's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has 3 career games with 5 targets or more - not even catches. Brown had 115, Bease had 106, Knox had 50, Singletary 41. So getting diggs 100+ is going to likely come somewhat from Brown and Bease.. But knox only caught 56% of his targets and had fewer than 2 catches per game a season ago. I think the 50-60 target range is probably realistic. He's still going to give away snaps to kroft and smith - and if they increase the amount of pass attempts... those targets go to the RBs and Diggs. He'll be boom or bust, and very TD dependent for fantasy. -
Which Bills did you draft in fantasy?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BuffaloBillies's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tough to expect him to get the sufficient targets to be a starter in fantasy. Too many mouths too feed. I think he can be a red zone weapon for sure though - and will get some opportunities to make plays. Allen's my starter in a 4pt per passing TD league. I grabbed Wentz as a backup - but allen is a very high floor fantasy QB because of the rushing TDs. -
2 firsts - and they moved peters for kenny young and a 5th. Peters was 2nd team all-pro, and his extension was 3yr/42m. So they didn't want to pay peters, traded him for nothing. He gets paid a reasonable amount for 2020-2022 - 14m AAV. You then trade 2 firsts for Ramsey - who makes 13.7 on the 5th year option (so basically what peters got on his EXTENSION!), and gave him 21M AAV from 2021-2025. Is JR worth 50% more in money, and like 90000% more in trade compensation? I don't think so. Especially 1 year after trading a 2 and 4 for Peters. Just mismanagement of draft assets, as well as money. Could end up costing them - they're going to have a tough time bringing in oline talent with all the draft comp they sent out the door, and they don't have cap space to address that and kupp needing an extension.

I'd wanna get diggs going, deep crossers - they can't handle brown and diggs in man coverage at the 2nd level so just keep hammering them. Redzone i'd like to see some read option stuff with singletary/moss to avoid hits to allen early on. I'm for it - take advantage of communication issues as well. They're missing their starter at MLB and they traded an all-pro SS. The d-line is still strong there so running it right towards them probably isn't the best solution.

As do Hughes, Epenesa, Murphy.. its a big rotation, and ron rivera does the same. Just because a player starts doesn't mean that they aren't getting a fair share of snaps. It lead to a couple losses last year against cleveland and philly. I'm not particularly certain buffalo was that good at it for a while there last year.
-
And now 2021 is fully guaranteed (5th year options are only injury-guaranteed). Plus the extension's practical guarantees. For buffalo it prevents a holdout, and keeps the player. For Tre, its money up front. Full guarantees. Organizational commitment (he basically can't be traded). If he doesn't sign this and holds out in 2021 he has leverage to not sign, but Buffalo has leverage to move him. If he's moved to a worse fit and doesn't get an extension, it can massively harm his value.

Kaepernick An 81 OVR FA QB In Madden 21
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he was an 81 in ultimate team, sure... whatever. But to put him in franchise mode when he hasn't played since 2016 and make him an 81? It's stupid. He's going to get picked up by a random team, start, and totally ruin the like "simulation" element of the game that people like. I heard this year's madden was terrible anyway so I decided not to get it.
