  1. I mean NE had... fewest points allowed, fewest yards allowed, 2nd most takeaways, scored 5 TDs, and had a safety. I see where the Pittsburgh argument comes in though - they were pretty beast last year. The patriots 3rd down number last year was insanely good though. Between that, and the really small amount of RZ possessions - they were really hard to score points against. Hence the lowest PA in the NFL by a huge margin.
  2. Rex's defense had a lot of checks, if you screw one up good luck. . Quicker snapping offenses will have success snapping off motion/jet-motion because of confusion for the LBs and Safeties. It works alright if you have good man corners on the outside - you take away their best WRs. But in a more spread out age with 3 WR sets being common - it's a tough sell. It becomes more of a tough sell when the LBs and Safeties aren't particularly talented. The linemen didn't seem to buy into what their role was either. Most of the big plays allowed this year were on screens, and missed tackles. I remember poyer screwed up that one play in philly. But either way, they aren't chucking up deep balls and completing them - even wallace does a good job preventing those with his size/athleticism.
  3. I mean - maybe? Guy had 100 touches 5 years ago. I wouldn't consider him a priority.
  4. In some cases maybe - i do think Running backs are using up hundreds of carries in college. Really cuts into earning potential.
  5. Depends what camp looks like - i don't know that buffalo can come out flatter than they did in 2019, but in any case. NYJ have improved their line and if its a battle of running games and turnovers - who knows.
  6. The oline was the big thing holding them back last year, and they put some heavy investment into it - Fant, McGovern, Becton. I don't personally love Fant (and hate him at 10m aav), but its an improvement. I think Mims will play right away, but he's drafted in the 2nd round - there's typically a reason a player slips (route running, separation etc) - so expect him to contribute, but i wouldn't pencil him in for 75/1000/8 his rookie year. Regarding the Defense - Mosley coming back healthy is big and i wouldn't understate his contribution, and i think you also hope williams has a bigger impact. The concerns for me on defense would come down to the secondary - it just doesn't look anything like a top level unit outside of Adams (who wants an extension).
  7. I'm not sure what it is - but i don't think he fits what gase wants to do either.
  8. Yeah - the announcers tried to put that one on josh... yes, it was low but it should have absolutely been caught, and it was thrown to keep beasley away from the defender.
  9. That and they wasted a ton of money on Bell, who didn't play the year before and was adequately replaced by conner and samuels.
  10. Yep - he just wasn't on the field for the 4 singletary carries in that game. So obviously him being there means he stops him on all of them.
  11. Which is so strange - ive seen plays where the rusher gets chop blocked into the qbs ankles get roughing the passer. He didn't MEAN to do that, so why is he penalized?
  12. Right - but they scared no one last year. True they don't get a full offseason, but harry missed camp and was on IR through most of the year. Not ideal for a WR to make a contribution. Sanu showed up in October so he didn't even have a camp there. The question was convince why they are good - mostly it comes down to defense being very good, and offense being only marginally worse than previously.
  13. Every TD is reviewed too - which can be annoying when the call is no TD then the camera immediately shows that it is a TD. Guess i have to waste a challenge because the judgement call decided to say otherwise. I mean its 2 years from the saints getting hosed on that call now... but whats the plan if there's a completely blown call like that again?
  14. I mean buffalo had 4 decent drives in the first half. 2 fluky INTs, a bobbled snap, a classic allen fumble (he needs work on those), even an unsportsmanlike conduct to knock them out of FG range. Not moving the ball? They had almost 200 yards at half.
  15. Reviews in baseball to me are the worst. when did the ball get there, did his shoelace come off the base when he was sliding? Did the tag come off the shirt slightly while he avoided it? If you wanted to review anything just have an electronic strike zone. No gaming it with framing, no umps with reputations for calling stuff inside vs outside. And it doesn't slow the game down. Probably speeds it up honestly.
  16. honestly - i hated it as a review. Just add a sky judge in the ear of all the refs to help with judgement calls. Id rather a late flag come in than waiting for head ref to put a headset on, grab a tablet and all that crap. Can probably help with some of the bad phantom calls too
  17. I'd say getting the Thuney extension in - could also restructure some guys, extend hightower. They have 25 mil in dead this year, so they'd really need to start using some future cap. Cutting sanu just makes that group so much worse, for an already not particularly good unit.
  18. they spent a 2nd rd pick on him... tough spend on a 1yr rental with an affordable cap hit.
  19. Harry, Sanu, Edelman, Lee with a full offseason. Last year it was Gordon (susp), Brown(susp), Edelman, Sanu (acquired in October), Dorsett, Meyers. I think the above one looks better tbh. At TE it was Watson (age 39), Lacosse, Tomlinson (Jets cut him in August), Izzo (2018 7th round pick). This year it would be Lacosse, Asiasi, keene. Two 3rd rounders instead of a 39 year old, jets cast off, and 7th rounder. I wouldn't say they've done little - Harry getting hurt wasn't ideal, and all the bandaids didn't work. Sanu struggled as a midseason trade, and the other 2 guys ended up suspended and cut.
  20. Agree on Hodgins. He has many guys to beat out for a role here in Mckenzie, foster, williams - who are all 26 or younger, and have played in the league. 35 WRs were drafted this year, and he was #30. If so many teams wanted him, and he was so talented he probably isn't selected that late. He has a chance to stick, but he's likely inactive on gamedays if he made the roster. He seems like a PS candidate, and developmental guy. If they're concerned about keeping him, they could also IR him. He can't practice but it keeps him safe going into 2021.
  21. I think in professional sports it can be a problem. In general life - ehhh yes and no.
  22. Something tells me in the moment she wasn't practicing proper trigger discipline either
  23. Buffalo made the playoffs in 2017 with the 4th worst offense in the league by yardage standpoints, and they werent very good a year ago either. A lot of those deficiencies were attributed to injuries with NE. 2 linemen missed significant time, as did their 1st round pick WR. They also lost 2 WRs to suspension, and a HOF TE to retirement. And after all of that - they still had a much better offense than buffalo's in 2019.
  24. Thats true - you end up a lot fatter if you can't work out. And its easy to cheat on your diet when the nutritionist doesn't ever see you.
