  1. Brady splits across divisions over his career. I don't feel like taking out 2020 so... Value G W L AFC East 108 86 22 AFC Central 1 1 0 AFC North 35 28 7 AFC South 34 26 8 AFC West 38 25 13 NFC East 20 17 3 NFC Central 1 0 1 NFC North 22 18 4 NFC South 18 13 5 NFC West 15 10 5
  2. 8 teams and 1 playoff game though. A different time, thats for certain.
  3. Cam seems to still have some arm strength, but he's actually struggled more throwing short. When he has to take something off he's just scattershot - and they have like no deep threats. I expect them to just hammer the run game a lot in this one. I think we'll see allen under center more. We run better out of those formations and from a passing perspective it can help him get more space and easier reads since its going to be more challenging to complete passes. 3rd and long, expect big 0 blitzes from NE since they need them to generate pressure and they trust their DBs. I liked what i saw from pass protection out of the backs - roll 4 wide on those downs. Expect NE to play disciplined rush lanes so Allen will have to stay in the pocket and make quick throws. Some quirks you could do would be to put Diggs in the slot with bease if brown is healthy. So you could roll davis - diggs - bease - brown across the formation. If they want to follow diggs with gilmore take away the sideline advantage in press man.
  4. Yeah, murphy's the other one who rotates on the left with epenesa getting reps on the right - mostly on early downs. He looked a lot better in this last game, he was shooting his gaps and forcing backs to adjust. Had a nice rip move on becton on the murphy sack too.
  5. He's always been a pretty good tackler. He had a nice pick this season, but he tends to play bail zone coverage a lot. When he does well he tackles guys short of sticks on 3rd downs. Another 3rd and 20 where i feel like he shouldve made a play though.
  6. I feel like he and addison play the same position so one has to move around, its usually been hughes.
  7. I believe he held a players only meeting for the defensive line as well. Good to see.
  8. They did a good job against baltimore. They have some good defenders on the line that can disrupt both rushing and passing. I tend to agree though, against KC teams lose that patience and feel like they need to score.
  9. I think the chiefs defensive improvement year over year is the biggest difference. I thought their secondary would be a big weakness - but they've been pretty solid there gameplan wise. They got beat deep a few times by carr in that raiders game, but they didn't let LJ or Allen get going in those 2 meetings.
  10. I'd personaly take some of the concepts of mcvay. Continue to use jet action from under center. Use diggs, bease, brown, whomever is out there. I'd also consider some more snaps to gilliam in I formations. Hard play action fakes out of that with boot options can cause problems for secondaries.
  11. Gotta play a 3 phase game. Special teams cost us the first meeting last year - that and allen getting hurt. Make the kicks, and execute the punts. Defense, they're going to run early and often. Gotta step up here. Stops are going to be about winning the LOS on early downs, and containing cam on 3rds. Offense, i think they'll go back to blitz heavy on 3rd downs so we have to have solutions for that. They'll look at what KC did and try and emulate some of that. Buffalo needs to be able to run the ball. They're a man heavy team, so if they start getting more zone heavy - look for a mistake or big play. I'd love to see smoke out there too.
  12. Just modify the NCAA one and make it your own. Take out FGs and extra points - force teams to go for 2 so you limit the coin toss having any real benefit. Alternate who goes first. Both teams go for the same end zone each time.
  13. Yep. Favre before him. U throw spread short passing concepts, WR protections, and more penalties for DBs. Id think favre would have an even better comp % today. The recent examples are bad - bortles, locker, Gabbert. So thats what people look at. Going over the middle in those days was like a death sentence too. Harder to find space with less defensive holding, less PI, more contact was legal.
  14. Yep - he's likely there 1 more year. If the cap goes down market value for the free agents go down. But 15.75 per year seems likely to be at least similar to what Robinson, Golladay, JuJu get on the open market.
  15. I said it to my bro - you clap after a miss because you know you might need him later. Gotta stay behind your guys.
  16. They had a first down run with gore. but they had negative passing yards and completed like 1 pass.
  17. Sure - but they had like 0 yards in the 2nd half. That's impressive against anyone.
  18. Buffalo was playing more aggresive against the run. Darnold was absolutely brutal under pressure.
  19. I know they're like - in the division race... but that defense stinks. I'm not sure I'm moving picks.
  20. Seems like Gilliam is mostly special teams so I assume maybe he was in a special teams meeting maybe? They motion Davis inside a lot to do this too.
  21. Being a coach is a lot of work - long hours and its basically year round. Being color commentary with one of the best play by play guys? Maybe he watches a few hours of film to get a feel for stuff they call and formations etc. After that its just natural - he sees it like they do. He's kinda gotten away from it when i watch his games now. But there's also that football player in him that can't help but say "get rid of it" when the QB holds it, or "Ball!" when someone fumbles. I think he's a really good commentator so... id rather he just do that.
  22. Like half their shotgun runs are RPOs. Thats why in that game edmunds is constantly late - he's playing the pass lane.
  23. Donald is undersized at 6'0 280. Yes he is very strong, as are many of the guys down there. Donalds got insanely good hands, and insanely quick motions - so he isn't really a fair comparison but i don't know that size is everything as a DT. If you just plug big heavies in there - yes they can anchor well against the run, but they aren't quick or dynamic to create issues rushing the passer. Now you have mahomes with all day to throw so... im not sure what is worse.
  24. At some point you have to question it though. They run more RPOs than anyone - and their linemen are constantly upfield. Which will inevitably open up space for mahomes to manuever, but also creates further defensive confusion. Why is the lineman able to run 5 yards up field to block the backer, when its a pass play?
