Regarding 1 - How many current Offensive coordinators in the NFL are black? Maybe 2? How many Defensive? Frasier, Joseph, Bowles, Norton? I'm sure i missed someone in there - but if the candidate pool for black head coaches is 6 (3 of which have already been fired as HC's before) then the next few years is likely pretty bleak. I think there are currently 2 black GMs? The list of "up and comers" for GM, is also another list of white guys (Ed Dodds, Horitz, Borgonzi). 2 - I'm not basing my head coaching search on a couple of 3rd round picks. If the guy is right, it won't matter. Plus they're comp picks, its not like you lose anything hiring him. 3 - I doubt it changes anything. Just a box checked. Regarding Bieniemy - Someone will take a chance on him I think. It's been long enough since his incidents that he's probably alright.

Ok This Dolphins talk is getting out of hand.

Winning games when you have under 10 first downs, under 150 yards, and 2 turnovers is incredibly rare. Much like buffalo winning week 1 last year when turning it over 4 times - you can't count on that type of bailout. An average to poor offense puts up - lets say 360 yards. Miami has been below that threshold in 5 of 8 games. They're 4-1 when having below 350 yards, and almost all the games where they put up good yardage, fitz was the one who was dealin. Can't run, not great passing - 3 d/st TDs and a 17/17 kicker (10/10 from 40+). -
Can't say I blame the guy. First stint with Cleveland didn't go so well, and you don't keep getting HC chances. He signed on to be a coordinator under parcells, parcells retired. Most teams at least... interview candidates (which he wouldve likely declined to do) - they didnt. They had some sketchy clause in there that promotes him somehow. Good for him just forcing his way out. He likely called his agent to say "what can i do to get out of this?" and his reply was... quit publicly 😄 Marrone actually quit under similar circumstances (ownership change).

I mentioned it above, but the only sports content I'd probably pay for at this point would be something regional. Regional networks currently air old games and random radio shows throughout the offseasons of the respective sports. They don't have budget or bandwidth to stream all that content, and their original content is usually garbage. Just let me watch live sports online - thats all i want! someone figure this out, it shouldn't be this hard!

I'd like to see them try and do something around regional sports somehow. But I know its impossible because of all the revenue streams and sharing. But like ESPN WNY instead of MSG WNY - You pay for a higher tier of ESPN+ and you can access the local networks. I'd pay for that. I just know I'm not paying an extra 25 a month for MSG so i can watch maybe 30 sabres games. I can probably go to 15 games at that rate. I know MSG and PSE have some kinda co-ownership of that, but i'm waiting for a sport to just jump in with 2 feet into streaming their games online exclusively. NHL center ice doesn't let me watch games in my market, or on national tv. NFL you have to have direct TV which - i think only exists because of sunday ticket. NBA has a league pass. MLB TV is probably the worst one - I live in buffalo and i can't watch tribe games because i'm in market. Haven't watched in years. They do some live sports, and they do a lot better than fox and NBC there. But their original content has been lacking - and they're putting more and more stuff behind the ESPN+ paywall.

Defense needs to build off of this game. Much like disappointing efforts against Philly/Cleveland in 2019 - they need to move passed the games against TN and KC. You aren't going to always keep teams from scoring tons of points. But getting the ball back, and getting key stops - that was a huge step for them. The run defense as well - much better without having to fully sell out to stop it. A lot of that was just better gap integrity from edmunds/klein/TJ. I know on some of the reads they had edmunds or Klein lined up wide instead of in the middle. Created some confusion on pass plays, but also has them plugged right into the gap.

So... basically Cam newtons best season. With considerably more yards. It's Wilson, Mahomes, Rodgers at the moment. The Chiefs defense is considerably better than both seattle and GB though - so i feel like the QBs for those teams are basically the only reason they are any good. The chiefs look head and shoulders above the rest of the league at the moment. Hopefully someone can beat them in the playoffs.

What were you doing in 1993?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just watched Jurassic Park yesterday, and that came out in 1993. Honestly though, the dinosaurs still look better than some CGI today. -
Is Tua hype the new Darnold hype?

I saw the score and then looked at the box and wondered how they had long drives, and 24 first downs, when they only had 312 yards. Seems like it was probably a strange game. In any case, they won - and their defense is still scoring. They made a 59 yard FG at half, and arizona missed the game tying FG. Sometimes you need a bit of luck *Cough* ryan succop *cough*. I think their inability to run the ball will harm them moving forward. -
Tua Tagovailoa - Future of Miami?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BillsM@fia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They don't run the ball well, and their offensive line isn't great. These are the things you want for a rookie QB to be successful. The reason their offense was doing alright had a lot to do with fitz quick release. So... without some changes here i see it failing.
