  1. Roman to the jets is interesting to me. He's built some pretty good offenses that are very QB friendly, and i think Lawrence would thrive in that type of situation. The question is if they can put together a group of 5 linemen to get the run game moving in the right direction, as well as find a running back who can help there - maybe a carson or some combination including ingram after he's cut. I think they'd probably give Mike Shula a look. Makes a lot of sense to me - carolina connection with beane/mcd, worked with strong armed cam newton before, has worked with a lot of different QBs in his career.
  2. Money saving. His contract runs out this year, so they don't even need to fire him. Dumped players who needed big money extensions too.
  3. Norv Turner's seasons with Dallas - ok you had insane talent. And even his best years with SD it was tomlinson and rivers. But man, that guy had a Brad Johnson offense as #2 in the league.
  4. No you're right - its the ACC one at 430. Either way - why is the NFL playing on saturday? Notre Dames a huge draw too, possibly the worst "nationally" televised game.
  5. Why is this game on saturday during the SEC championship?
  6. Probably Mack. Great outside pass rusher - and he has always been good at forcing fumbles. Plus he played at UB
  7. When the special teamers are out there too... so its just punters punting to each end, and kickers practicing FGs... ferguson is the guy in the video who kinda stands up and looks at him. I'm glad he didn't do anything though, its stupid to confront a player like that.
  8. If the upright were taller i think it hits the inside of it. Whether it goes in or not is up for debate.
  9. Baker's cleaned up turnovers, and he's playing pretty well in their offense. Stefanski has worked under quite a few coordinators in his time with Minnesota, but clearly he's coaching to the teams strength at the moment. Offensive line can run block, and they have 2 backs. Tons of play action, and he can execute better there. It's a greg roman offense, they will lead the league in rushing every year. We had this with Tyrod, and it was like this with Kaepernick before that. It doesn't make it any less dangerous of an offense because their passing numbers are low.
  10. Call of the game. 3rd and 11. We iced it after that. Great execution. Brutal fumble by Knox but the guy plays hard.
  11. Too slow and its easily defended by the safety, too hard and its picked by the underneath LB. Even remotely behind and its broken up too.
  12. I mean.... you gotta occaisionally hammer them with those tackle eligible looks. If they stack the middle for the sneak you have to attack outside the tackle. You should be able to get in there.
  13. I'd say properly rated? He's won 1 super bowl. But they avoided Peyton and that was the brady injury year. Also avoided the best giants team of that decade. Super bowl that they lost? Avoided Brady and Peyton again, lost to Rodgers.
  14. The big thing on that 2nd and 12 thing to me isn't just the pass pro. It's the trajectory. It wasn't a fastball, it wasn't a high pass, it was where it needed to be. If there were invisibile tires hanging in the air with the perfect throw going through all of them - he threw it through all of them. Perfect touch, perfect velocity to not get defended.
  15. They made watkins take a paycut this season to be fair. They'll lose watkins/robinson this offseason and replace them with hardman/pringle. Maybe they draft someone too. Yeah - look at hockey's free agency and you'll see agents being like... yes - take the deal! There's still some good free agents out there and no one is willing to pay them close to what theyre asking for (Hoffman, Duclair, Athanasiou, Granlund, and Vatanen are the big ones)
  16. If he continues to be this good you just keep replacing everyone around him at playmaker positions with players on rookie contracts. Spend your money on the oline and defense. Kelce probably has a couple more productive years, kick the cap hit down the line for hill too.
  17. I mean - saints have been doing it since they won a superbowl. But you're hedging all your bets on a cap going up YoY - and it isn't this year... so they're currently like 90M above a 175M cap. I don't even know where to begin: https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/new-orleans-saints/
  18. It's a business - year 1 he played to the contract, year 2 not so much. He'll be 31 and its a 9m cap hit. If you can reduce the cap charge, and tack on a void year or extend it? maybe? But if the cap truly is going down, thats a lot for your #2 WR when you have a rookie who's played well.
  19. I mean - we all saw where he got hurt this year. It wasn't some non-contact hamstring or something. He got blasted from behind, while catching a poorly thrown ball in a close game and landed awkwardly. Worst part is it didn't even count.
  20. KC is in the last year of mahomes cheap deal. There's a reason they're head and shoulders above the league. After this year - it becomes the restructure game that the saints play. Pick the guys you want to guarantee the next 3-5 years of contracts and fill in the rest with rookies and vet's who are available a month into free agency.
  21. Fumbling the snap at the goalline would maybe not get allen benched but id chew him the hell out. Can't happen at the 1 yard line. Can NOT happen there. You're giving the other team points.
  22. They were great in vastly different ways though. I would say that I'd probably take ronnie lott over polamalu tho. Guy started as a corner, and became a beast of a safety. So you know he's got sick coverage skills, but that guy could lay some lumber too. I feel like Lott could diagnose plays like reed, but also hit like a polamalu.
  23. Started playing 2 guys inside like 1T and another on the heavy side as a 3T. then using edmunds or klein on the LOS on one side, and hughes on the other. They mix in some 46 looks too where they line johnson and edmunds/klein up along the LOS tight. They refused to mess around too much and match personnel too, the 49ers use so much motion and deception - having a better knowledge of your role in the D is almost more important than having an extra LB on the 2nd TE or the FB.
  24. Thats 3 weeks away though. Lot can change. Its also a really bad matchup for Miami. They blitz a lot and carr is a quick release guy, and they run the ball well.
