  1. Both are big losses. Lewans a really good OT. Saffold is good at LG too but cohesion will be lost, and Lewan is a really good run blocker.
  2. 4 picks in the first 2 rounds next season too. With a young QB likely taking over, probably 2 of those go to o-line. With the extra picks you could also pull a luxury and try and get an Etienne too.
  3. I mean - Miami truly isn't a bad team. As we saw when buffalo played them, fitz can still sling it. He had a great game against SF. But they also have blowout wins against Jax and NYJ. Outside of week 1 against NE they have scored like 30 points per game though.
  4. He didn't outkick the coverage. The coverage just sucked. I feel like he had a couple touchbacks which are the big no no. But he's been better than in previous years.
  5. And he was getting blasted in the run game against LA too.
  6. I'd say taron johnson was the worst player on the field. 3rd and 20 in man coverage with kalif raymond. D-line play is hard to diagnose to me. If a player loses the edge it may be by design, you never really know.
  7. On both of these it looks like he made a decent play no?
  8. I just meant it like... myself and the people that i play with - we are not good. Even the guys who played in high school etc. And most probably would've caught that. So I don't wanna hear about how it should've been over here instead - catch the friggin ball, its literally your job.
  9. The dline just isn't working together. Hughes taking snaps on his off side has been troubling since the communication hasn't been great. Caught up field in the run game, letting clean blockers to the 2nd level, losing outside contain on run blitzes, losing outside contain on pass plays. I think some of the run fits have been bad, especially johnson.
  10. There was one that was low but i thought he shouldve had it, i know there was a 2nd but i cant remember what happened.
  11. Good point. Even worse. Poor offensive execution - but the defense followed with even worse execution. We force a 3 and out and we have a chance to score there before half as well.
  12. They flipped the field down 14-7 and Tenn drove 90 yards in like 3 minutes. That to me was the breaking point. 14 or even 17-10 at half is soooo much better than the 21-10.
  13. I wouldn't say ST cost us this game - but last season there were a few pretty poor performances. The NE game featured a blocked punt for a TD in a game buffalo lost by 6. Lots of makeable missed FGs. Bojo seems to have improved on the punting aspect of his game, but it seems like the kick/hold motion is a little wonky. I don't know if theres like - approach issues, snap issues, whatever.
  14. Also a very catchable pass. Worst case you trap that thing in the ground. Some how he found a worse worst case.
  15. I've played enough touch football to know - that was a very catchable ball. Same with the knox one. Same with the diggs one. The roberts one seemed to go right through his hands and into his shoulder pad.
  16. 1 - It's not always the DE on the edge, especially on passing plays. 2 - Backups that are good enough to start, tend to leave and start. 3 - There are vet's there. Hughes, Addison, Hyde, Poyer, etc. The entire defense seems like they haven't fit together yet. They're also banged up all over. I know hyde hasn't missed games yet, but he's banged up. White. Edmunds. Milano. Wallace. They brought back a lot of players, but the defensive line is massively different than a year ago. Hughes is playing snaps on his off side. The Nose tackles aren't doing their job. There just isn't any cohesion there yet and it shows. Continuity was one of the things teams had as an advantage going into a truncated offseason. Our major roster turnover was there, and along the offensive line (where they're also struggling a bit).
  17. Well the offense was 30th in points, yards, and turnovers. In the 5 mentioned blowouts the team turned the ball over 16 times. I'm not so sure the 2018 defensive playcalling was responsible for these 2018 blowouts. Week 1 Baltimore - the offense had 10 first downs and 2 turnovers. Peterman had 2 picks, and Bojo dropped a punt that they recovered in the redzone. I don't know a defense that can help that inept of an offense. Week 4 GB - 11 First downs, 145 yards, 3 turnovers, 0 points. They literally couldn't have won this game since the offense scored no points I don't know that I need to go on tbh. The offense scored 23 total points in the 5 2018 blowouts. That's less than 5 points per game. They almost averaged the same number of turnovers as points. I'm just saying - there weren't halftime adjustments to be made in these 2018 blowouts. The team was bad - they were going to lose those games.
  18. Well the 2018 team stunk. Peterman and Derek Anderson started in 4 of those blowouts. The packers game was an early Allen shellshock game where he just got sacked a ton. 2019 Eagles - they ran the ball all day in a windy game. This year - the dline is clearly not gelled yet. I don't know that you just start firing people at 4-1 though.
  19. Several of Phillips sacks were lawson doing it. His loss hurts too. Addison plays the other side, and murphy's struggled this year to the point that hughes is now splitting time on his off side. He doesn't look particularly comfortable doing it either.
  20. He's a good quarterback. 1 - Athletic 2 - Good pre-snap understanding 3 - Very accurate 4 - Throws a good deep ball 5 - Quick release His struggles 1 - Pressure, he tends to drop his eyes 2 - Post-snap reads aren't as fast as they need to be 3 - Can fade in the pocket when he needs to step up For what they're asking of him - its accurate quick throws to make sure they are in makeable 3rd's and continue to move down the field. From a pre-snap perspective he is to take shots when they are there, and has a weapon in AJ brown who's good for what they need. This is all in his wheel house.
  21. I think the limited camp hurts - especially with the loss of star. Buffalo has 4 new dlinemen, and they are struggling from a cohesion standpoint. Sometimes its not as simple as plug and play.
  22. He's a really tough matchup for a LB in man coverage too, and has a lot of experience split out wide. You can play 11 and basically force them into using LBs in coverage against guys like him and Knox. Since they likely shade the safety to diggs in cover 2Healthy brown gives you a sideline weapon in cover 2, you have knox for over the middle and bease/bell creating problems underneath. If they want to force buffalo to dink and dunk, they have the weapons to make it happen. If they want to try and use man, they would also have mis-matches.
  23. Turnovers are always really deflating. They scored on the 2nd play over norman and you could tell it was just... gonna be a long night for that unit.
