  1. I honestly think after the bye it'll be dodson to make an impact. I think Lee may be a PS call-up for 2 weeks until dodson is back.
  2. I think with WR's, its one of the hardest positions to evaluate in the draft. It requires a QB to throw you the ball, but also to scale and evaluate their routes. Then there's the evaluation of does he have what it takes to work extremely hard to improve. He has that bit. Workouts and tape only go so far - he has improved his route running tremendously. He has also really improved his awareness. He's better on the sidelines, hes timing jumps better, he's just a better player than he was even a year ago.
  3. That and having his players fall over injured after completions 🤣
  4. We also motioned our gunner in on a punt early - and i remembered NOT doing that last year and the punt being blocked. I think having some core special teamers on this team does help.
  5. I think you're more likely to see Phillips get those snaps than Lee. Dodson might be ready by week 10. I think Lee is depth on the PS to call up should we get hit with a ton more injuries again. Someone who's played more defense in the NFL than Matakevich and Smith who are both STers. Something to note - milano played 15 snaps in this one... *note* Andre Smith played 16 snaps on defense.
  6. Tennessee just lost to cincy... GB to Minnesota. It's almost like its hard to go 16-0. And its almost like you can't blow out every opponent.
  7. And they definitely messed with Feliciano. They ran several plays with no down linemen to disguise things. Not sure how the younger player handles that.
  8. Yeah - we checked into a lot of runs because it was a light box too. Like BB was daring Allen to try and do stupid stuff.
  9. There's a lot of season left. The team out there today isnt the same one out there in january. Titans were 4-4 last year at the mid-point and made it to the AFC championship.
  10. They went away from trying misdirection and instead focused on getting to the perimeter. Buffalos defense was in relatively tight alignments all game so it made sense to do it. You need the end to get to that gap and disrupt the play behind the LOS. Their tackles and guards did a good job in the 2nd half not letting that happen. Or when it happened it was klein and he just whiffed.
  11. Divisional game... HOF coach... their SEASON basically on the line. They played hard, and they lost.
  12. I think the idea is being in the right place to make plays on the ball so they can't get multiple deep completions.
  13. I would've kept blitzing. Cam was spiking and overthrowing under pressure all game. They countered this a bit towards the end with toss plays to get to the perimeter, as our LBs were down by the LOS and too tight to stop those plays. I've played enough football to know that some days you have it, and some days you don't. Winning when you don't is tough.
  14. Yeah, he had a couple plays called back on holding or pre-snap too, but mostly those 2, and the other long completion were deep overs into the zones where we didn't get pressure. Not sure it was coverage issues. Winning close games will always have a degree of luck - but at the same time... Having a QB who you trust in the 4th quarter of a tight game is probably more important than having a dominant defense. Miami had a great game, a great gameplan of blitzes for LA. But if that game was tied at 28 with 4 minutes left, i don't see them driving down and winning with a rookie QB. That may cost them games down the line. I see them struggling to get to the 9 wins that everyone else seems to have them pegged for.
  15. We played a team with the worst passing offense in the NFL, on a windy day. I don't think the Free safety was going to be featured. If he misses Seattle too, we can talk about marlowe as a suitable replacement free safety.
  16. I don't mind not following meyers - Don't give away your coverage if you don't have to. I just wish wallace would play a little bit more aggressively, they're not going to get behind you. Bail coverage is fine, but you have to know they arent attacking you deep. Well we'd had a tight 8 man box all game long and then up 21-14 we just assumed they're going to let cam pass. They didn't.
  17. Right? Klein - do all-pro things. Honestly - Klein was less of a liability when he was blitzing. When he was spying he lost burkhead for a long gain, he missed a tackle on white, and missed harris on a toss play.
  18. Methinks they wanted a vet making line calls against the patriots.
  19. I didn't like how we went into cover 3 when we took the 7 point lead. The drive before they completed like 2 passes and we were worried with like 9 minutes left. Hell, they were still running the ball with 2 minutes left.
  20. At least bring in better competition than AJ Klein.
  21. I mean... Miami has 5 first downs and about 50 yards of offense and 2 turnovers. So we may not want to crown them yet
