Anonymous Dolphins players: not sold on Tua
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen was thrust into the role based on poor performance of the QBs in front of him on the depth chart. While his numbers weren't great - he flashed for sure. I think you can find game managers without using a top pick. -

Doesn't sound "humble" -
Baker is a bit like tannehill/goff - when he's working that offense is a machine. When they get behind the sticks, or he gets a lot of pressure - things tend to go downhill quickly. I think he's better and has potential to be much better than both. Lamar won an MVP. He's shown to be a dynamic runner, and is the main component of a top 10 scoring offense. He's averaged 3000 yards 31 TDs and like 7 int's over the 2 years starting, also averaged another 1100 and 7 TDs on the ground. He'll get paid. If you're first everyone will say you overpaid - but then the other 2 get paid and it kinda balances out.

My buddy always mentions that i was legit his only friend who wanted allen. And the reasoning was that there was the potential there to be a star, and i didn't see that with rosen. Felt like his ceiling was cutler. Why are you making all these moves (trading glenn, tyrod etc) to try and get the next cutler?

Yep - and the playcalling HC might not listen to the coordinator saying - maybe we don't run a weird outside run at the goalline here, just do the brisset play we've been doing all year. I think it works both ways, daboll sends in a call and McD can probably say - i think we sneak it in etc. We got into soft zone and prevent, and they just ran it.

Why are we so bad covering the TE?

I don't really disagree. Nickel CBs were always traditionally smaller to match up with slot WRs. But as teams start bringing athletic freaks onto the team, and moving them around the formation, its nice to have someone to match up physically. -
Next Season - Potential Coordinators

Agreed, he'd groom someone. I think Patricia would likely be a pick for daboll - but i suppose i'm not familiar with their relationship. I don't think buffalo would be a destination for gailey - and hopefully not McCoy, hes terrible. I do think there's a chance its dorsey though. For all the "hes never called plays", he's been a QB coach for like 9 years of his career. Typically the next step up after QB coach is coordinator. Worked 2 years under daboll - and like 6 under shula. I think he may need to go to college to erase some of the stink on his name. -

At this stage of their careers? Taron Johnson is probably more effective than Dugger. I think baltimore still runs more 11 than any other formation - so he'll likely get a fair amount of snaps. -
Leslie Frazier interviewing for Texans job

They're a year removed from being top 5 as well. The players don't interview though... -

Sometimes its coverage mistakes by the linebackers, but you're willing to give up small chunks because at the end of the day your goal is stopping them on 3rd downs and in RZ. One defensive play, or drop, or bad throw (there were all of these in this game against indy) and it stalls a drive. They missed a FG, got stopped on a 4th and punted twice in buffalo territory. Probably a little more bending than they'd like, but they didn't break either.
