  1. Ugh - i hate man 2 against mobile QBs. Like asking to see wilson pick up like 60 yards and a TD on scrambles.
  2. If Kleins the will on a play, i'm running to the other side since... you don't need to even block him. He'll take a bad angle and have no influence on the play.
  3. Both of those games had a ton of mistakes too. Roberts drop/INT, False start on 3rd and 1 causing a 3 and out, 40yd punt return, Diggs drop, Allen int. 3 big mistakes = 3 short fields. KC is some of the same. Down 3 before half, out of the 2 min warning we call a run on 2nd and 3 and lose 6 yards. The kelce play was big, but don't forget we could have been tied or even up if we had better offensive execution. Down 10, stuffed on 3rd and 1, penalty on 4th and 1. You can't do that kinda stuff and win games.
  4. I love the comparisons to weeks 1-4 where they say he's turnover prone again! 1 INT was literally dropped by roberts, and another was down 2 scores with less than 2 minutes left (had no effect on the outcome of the game). I remember xavien howard saying he had allen's number, and they'd reference the 2 INT game. One was a halftime hail mary bro, congrats. Context is important.
  5. Small sample size. I think they trust Feliciano with line calls as he did it some last year. I did think Ike had a nice game though honestly. I think his run blocking is a reason he may have passed Spain on the depth chart.
  6. I like most of them. Vets on the PS gives you a chance for an extended tryout. Expanding the active and gameday rosters are a nice benefit for depth when having multiple injuries. The short term IR is nice as well.
  7. They were up 2 against Miami with 8 minutes to play. They beat minnesota with 20 seconds left. Scored to lead Dallas with less than 2 minutes left. NE almost beat them as time expired. They lost to Zona in OT. And this past week they had 350 yards and were aided by a fumble on a kickoff return. They've definitely improved their pass rushing recently, but theyve given up 400+ yards every week except one. And the garbage time excuse isn't really there.
  8. Its a tough position i think. Hand usage - explosive burst - leverage. You can be a giant and if you lose your leverage, you miss your gap and lose your assignment. Yeah, his burst is elite. He just needs to keep it up with his arms and counters.
  9. He had 2. One for the last 4 games of 2018, and one for the first 4 games of 2020. Wikipedia has the 2018 one as PEDs, but the NFL article says substances of abuse. They are no longer suspending players for the substance abuse ones this year so I have no idea what the 2020 one was for. Probably refused/missed a piss test if I had to guess.
  10. Or Marlowe. Can move hyde in there as a NB and give them some new looks. I dunno. Taron's just struggling all over, tackling, coverage, everywhere.
  11. Or Neal... I don't think he can be that much worse at coverage than Johnson. Yeah, and he was terrible when he played.
  12. I'd prefer dodson. I know what Lee is. He's slower to diagnose plays than edmunds, softer than klein. He's not going to be in position to make plays, and he's not a particularly good tackler. He's fast though.. which helps i guess?
  13. They were able to run a lot of screens to RBs/TEs too because brady is a statue as well. Teams don't worry about losing contain and rush depth.
  14. They did it when they played off coverage a few times. The Brown one was a big play where we threw the ball right off the snap and had kroft/bease out in front blocking.
  15. On Defense: I think they'll play their cover 3/cover 4 stuff they usually do where they play over coverage behind the WRs. Seattle will still take some shots, but this lowers the percentage that those are completed. The front 4 needs to pressure, and attack their weak offensive line. On offense: Seattle's secondary sucks - so they'll probably blitz a lot on 3rd downs. Need plans to account for this, or it'll be a long day for Allen. Even with a good rushing day this past week i think they still likely keep 2 deep safeties on early downs, and keep their LBs near the LOS on 3rd downs.
  16. Sure - but he buys time and is able to execute with deep balls when he does. But... when teams take away the deep stuff, he'll just execute the boring old short stuff as he did against SF. What'd he complete 1 deep pass in that game?
  17. The 21 yard brown completion was a screen. I think there was 1 to diggs as well.
  18. They checked to a couple WR screens when NE played off coverage. RB/TE screens aren't that popular against NE since they focus on rush depth and try not to get too wide.
  19. I think the run game is important. The jets played similar coverages against buffalo and we weren't able to get yards on the ground. Looking at the last 3 scores of that game. Moss on 1st and 10, no gain. Singletary gets 1 yard on 2nd and 5. Allen got stuffed on 3rd and 2. Thats 3 situations where a positive play on the ground could've lead to more points.
  20. He throws the best deep ball in the NFL. And he's insanely difficult to sack. Not to mention - while he had a sick fantasy stat line. 260 on 37 attempts and maybe 1 deep completion. Soo.... they did take away the deep ball and he beat them passing short, with ball security.
  21. Yeah - You can complete short passes in a windy game, but those deep shots are a lot trickier.
