Slot Recievers - McKenzie / Cole
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mckenzie is slot depth and primary returner (you have hyde as punt catcher - and depth KR would probably be Breida), hodgins is likely outside depth. Stevenson maybe on PS with kumerow/duke/gentry as probably the other one on the PS. -
Slot Recievers - McKenzie / Cole

I think that was the play more than replacing brown. It was moving davis to the boundary and having 2 challenging slot receivers on the field at once. -
Probably give the basketball nod to McAdoo - the Braves weren't around very long and he's the only player of note worth mentioning. For baseball - Warren Spahn? I know he never played in Buffalo, but he was from here. Fine with Kelly... for now. I think Allen will take the spot someday. Hockey - Hasek

Pats* WR Harry requesting a trade
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree there. To me he's the best in the division at the moment. Guy seems to make plays - and makes them down the field for TDs and 1st downs. -

Atlanta could be interesting. -

Try just calling the ticket office - someone there will probably know. -
Hard Knocks 2021: Dallas Cowboys
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a well produced show, and is aired before football season starts when you're doing fantasy drafts and just generally getting excited for the season. Dak coming off a horrifying injury. Just generally a disappointing season re: oline injuries, dak, zeke struggles, d struggles. I think it'll be a good season. -
WNY Homegrown Talent Who Knew ?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A friend of mine from my old job played against levens in high school and said he was a nightmare. A colleague at my current job played football in St. Louis and said Brandon Williams was the biggest meanest dude he ever played against, and Williams was really solid in basketball too. -
Ryan Ramczyk signs massive deal

You can't sign everybody. The saints definitely try to keep running it back with the same group though. -
Ryan Ramczyk signs massive deal
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No Loopholes - Ramzyck likely has no new money this year. It's like if buffalo signed Josh allen to a 5 year contract extension next season. He still plays under a 5th year option and then the bonus is spread over other years. Next season they sit at 208M right now (pre-Ramzcyk). Armstead and Lattimore don't have contracts yet. And the only cap space they can really create is by converting salary to restructure bonuses and void years. So you're essentially sacrificing future cap space to sign those guys. I'm curious if A - they're still good without brees and B - if they keep punting the cap hits down the line to keep the team together. They had a couple big wins over TB, but they lost to GB and KC. Other than that the only other playoff team they beat was the bears... -
Which pass option sees smaller numbers in 2021?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I could see him down a bit, but Allen looks for him a lot so i still see the 100+ rec by him. I think sanders works in the slot some as well with bease, which is going to be a PITA to cover when they roll 4 WR with davis outside. So i could see some of bease's targets heading to sanders. I also think Singletary might play more of a role th is year. -
Sharp gashes Gase
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Gase is probably an OK offensive coordinator. Nothing super unique to his offense. Not a great run game coordinator. But I think between the ears he knows football, its more of an issue with coaching style and lack of leadership. It'll take a year or two, but I suspect he just ends up in college where former NFL coaches tend to have success (largely due to having a name that helps with recruiting). Doubt he ever wins much of anything, but I could see him in the pac-60 or whatever its called now. -
Bills rushing - yards before contact
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BarleyNY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His Yards after contact number is in pretty good company. It's the yards before contact there that need the most improvement. Be it oline, his ability to find holes, or playcalling (probably all 3). -

All makes sense to me. Tons of negative runs too. -
I find it at least slightly concerning that Alabama had 2 WRs, the RB, and 3 OL also get drafted in the same year. 4 of those in the first round, 5 in the first 37 picks. Even with Waddle missing time, its not as if Metchie is a bad player. I liked Jones ability to throw people open a bit, and he made some nice RZ throws over his receivers shoulders. But between the 20's it looked like a ton of shorter stuff and relying on his guys to make plays.

He's 31 with a history of knee problems, and now needs surgery on his ankle. He's made 50 million... probably set for life there - and he's a stanford educated guy with a business degree. Probably smart to get out of there while he can still walk right, and before getting any serious damage done to the rest of his body.

Uniform releases to happen after 1 July
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to UConn James's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, i remember seeing a guy wearing a suit with zubaz lapels (not an entire zubaz suit), and i thought it looked neat. -
A lot of the dome teams built them for the purposes of securing super bowls (which bring in a ton of money). Buffalo will never get one, so the dome aspect isn't there. You might be able to use it for concerts or something, but they play football in the winter so... you can have concerts in the spring/summer in an open air stadium probably just as much. Yep - everythings a negotiation tactic. Same goes for them saying " we could play at penn state or somewhere else" when the lease is up. They're just saying that to get favorable terms. Could you imagine playing on that? I rolled up on my toe just thinking about it.
