  1. Cody also played RT for a year, so to me as a depth option he gives you some flexibility there to not force a rookie into regular gametime. Gimme the best 5, and if ford is in, he's still probably my first guy going in at tackle if a tackle goes down.
  2. 4-2 in the worst division in football. 3-7 outside the division. You aren't wrong lol
  3. I feel like this years draft and last years kind of stunk regarding tight ends. And as for a couple mil? https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/tight-end/ Anyone on that list making 3m or less is not even really an upgrade.
  4. I think you'll see it be more like uber eats. You place your order in an app for the concession location you want, they tell you it is ready, and then you go to a counter and they hand you your food/drink (maybe a quick verification using your ticket barcode or something). Do beer only at other concession stands where you have to show ID, and get faster beer taps. Since they have to turn off beer at halftime - the app portion is unaffected.
  5. One time i tried to get coffee during MNF (I think it was patriots buffalo in 2018 with derek anderson), and they just told me they were out of coffee. I don't drink during the games as I usually have to drive so I stop like an hour before kickoff + gametime + walk to the car and I'm good to go. Coffee doesn't like sober me up, but A - it was cold, and B - It's sort of a placebo effect on sobering you up a bit faster. I got a hot chocolate that was about half the size of the cup.. for like 8 dollars.
  6. I look at it like the opportunity has never been right in the draft. In 2018 there were some solid ones in but the team was stripped to the studs so they had holes all over. They didn't have the picks to get the players in the 2nd like Geisicki, or Goedert. Andrews went before Philips in the 3rd, but we can agree philips is basically busted at this point. From 2019 - Knox is about the 3rd most productive TE in a class with Fant and Hock going in the 1st round. After Irv Smith, 4 more were picked ahead of him that haven't done much. They could have taken fant in the first (or traded down to someone wanting oliver), but i think buffalo was happy to let the chips fall and ended up with oliver. 2020 - Terrible TE draft (NE took 2, and already replaced both LOL), probably right to avoid reaching at a need position in a bad class. 2021 - Top heavy draft - Pitts went 4 so he was never even an option, and Friermuth may have been in the 2nd, but he went before buffalo's pick. I think they will prioritize it next season in some capacity. I don't think they need kittle, but knox will be up on his last year and I'd like to see him seriously pushed.
  7. He must've looked like crap in practice 😆 In all serious though - i think they carry 2 TEs on the PS, and he certainly is a possibility if he doesn't land elsewhere. Assuming the 2 (or 3 including gilliam) are healthy, they'll likely just keep those 3 active most of the time. If anyones banged up they can use that extra spot on the PS to bring someone in for a week or two. I think they look at him vs the PS guys and think - we can find a guy this good (or bad) at any point in time.
  8. Then he ran the ball a bunch in that game when all the running backs were hurt. So now he's a running back. 😆
  9. I don't care either way on jones. There need to be dedicated ST players though - thats not a debate.
  10. We allowed a kickoff return for a TD from jakeem grant.
  11. I could honestly care less - however the 2019 team had a punt blocked, and a KO returned for a touchdown, and Jones was not on that team. I don't think i care if its Jones, just that they have solid players on special teams. I think its valuable from the depth of the team.
  12. He had 30 kicks returned last year, and the 2nd best average in the league.
  13. The gunner's also play on kickoffs, kick returns, and punt returns fwiw.
  14. Kumerow was waived last year and didn't even finish the season on the team, and now he's an irreplaceable part of the organization?
  15. They had a great defense a year ago - But like the 2019 bills... they played a pretty weak schedule of offenses. Jag's week 10 with Luton at QB, Bengals x2 without burrow, the NFC east. Offensively they were sub 100 in rushing in 10 of 16 games, and they had fewer than 20 1st downs 20 times. They added a back but the oline is likely the issue (they had pass pro issues as well). Also, they were 1-4 when they didn't take the ball away, and 5-0 when they didn't turn it over.
  16. He'd be 6th on the depth chart at a position where they primarily play 3 though
  17. At the end of the day - the last few guys active on a game day roster play special teams. If its kumerow vs jones - who is better at STs because neither is going to be on the field for offense.
  18. Same - then i was like... why are they building a smaller replica of the same stadium? lol
  19. He'll be alright, i don't think he has a "great" season though. Teams blitz young QBs, and they are traditionally really inconsistent. They'll likely lose a couple they should win, and hover around the .500 area give or take a game or two.
  20. Right but it takes two to tango. If someone comes calling he can just say- im going back to buffalo. I assume he knows the plan here.
  21. Sure - i'm not sure anyone else can guarantee him playing time with an all-pro QB that he personally knows quite well. He also spent an entire camp here and feels good about playbook, role, etc. It'd be a rather large risk to squeeze an extra couple hundred K out of bufflao/another team. This is probably his best chance at a good pay day next year.
  22. I think the big challenge for buffalo will be how they deal with the blitzing nature of the pittsburgh defense. It ate them up last time, and they really couldn't run the ball effectively either. On defense, the front 4 needs to make some noise against a pretty average offensive line. The steelers have 3 solid WRs and Ebron is pretty good. Harris is probably an upgrade at RB, but the reason they were always dumping it off to JuJu last year was because they couldn't run the ball at all. Usually thats a symptom of a problem up front. I'm 50-50 on this game, Pittsburgh won 11 straight to start the year and faded down the stretch. But all things considered they probably have the best defense in the league (3rd in yards, 3rd in points, 2nd in takeaways). Their offense is probably better than last year, but Buffalo is fully healthy going into the game as well. Looks like a toss-up to me.
  23. Who would you rather have rotating in on 30-40% of snaps? Who would you rather have if someone took a bad injury at the position? That to me is always addison when comparing to johnson.
  24. I've watched him play, he has legit never blown me away in any way. 6th round pick for a guy i had not making the team? Sign me up.
