  1. The problem is re: uncatchable balls, its very subjective. You also can't call illegal contact or holding if the ball is in the air. I don't mind the idea of an upstairs ref in communication with everyone, but football happens pretty fast. I just like the idea that they can watch a replay of the call maybe once in real time and determine if its good or not. The old "let em play mantra". The exact thing happens in hockey, then in the cup finals it seems like they call stuff again. It was some solid justice to see their offense and defense just get thrashed with holding calls in the super bowl though.
  2. DS shiftiness can create some significant extra yards in the way he hits the holes. Moss is far better at turning the chicken s--t our offensive line produces and getting that extra yard or two.
  3. A lot of it is timing. If he's late to throw it can almost look like he underthrew it, and if you release a bit early the player can't get to the spot.
  4. What is the appropriate pay scale for the guy? AJ Klein makes 6M per year. Jaylon Smiths AAV is like 12, but the final 2 years of the 6 year deal are voidable. Cunningham and Jack both make about 14-15. I'm not sure where he would fall tbh.
  5. Yep. Drafted to play right tackle. Ineffective and injury prone. Moved to guard where its been a mixed bag, but mostly poor. He's cheap for 1 more year, can play along the line in a few spots. He has a role, but it really shouldn't be in the starting lineup. The team needs to continue to make some moves along the offensive line in the next draft.
  6. I think that 20M loss had a lot to do with literally having 0 fans in the stands. Tickets don't make you a ton of that, but carrying a 0 when you could be making several million doesn't help things.
  7. Didn't even mention - buffalo is currently 7th in the league in rushing yards. They also have tied for the 3rd most first downs on the ground, and the 11th best YPA. The YPA seems shocking, when you consider trubisky, breida, mckenzie, and gilliam have 14 carries for 28 yards between them.
  8. In zone you aren't always going to be able to break up a pass. He's been a tackling machine so far this year, so thats been big.
  9. It wasn't garbage time. It was a 10 point game with 12 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Just use both of them. They don't need a lead back.
  10. He was averaging 6+ yards per carry the last 2 games. The Miami game had some struggles but it's not as if he had plays blocked up well in that game.
  11. The only drive where buffalo scored in the 2nd half of the Pitt game featured a couple nice gains by Singletary. I'd just roll with the hot hand on that particular day.
  12. I think there was a plan around it - usually kickers aren't that far upfield.
  13. Bass also kicked one out of bounds.
  14. They didn't apologize for giving Houston the ball when the returner caught it and threw it on the ground...
  15. They are playing a 3rd string Quarterback. They tend to second guess things, panic, and hold the ball. All things that will lead to turnovers against buffalo. They don't have the running game to take pressure off of him either. Their defense really doesn't do much of anything particularly well. To me the trap game requires... something. A QB, a RB, a playmaker who is capable of turning a game in your favor. That or just, miserable weather or something.
  16. Work smarter, not harder 😉. They didn't chip much, the running back pass pro was usually up the middle too.
  17. Yep - its why NE never had a ton of big sack #'s guys. They preach rush depth so you don't get caught up field like that.
  18. Not enough interior push.... and sweat on the other side was totally handled. Williams and Allen were in sync just creating lanes for him to escape the pocket all afternoon. When they did muddy it up allen escaped around the edge and made plays.
  19. They gave up 300 yards of offense, and 80 came on a screen. They had 13 first downs, and their worst rushing total of the season. They're currently a top level defense against run and pass. You pick up the option because you don't have a capable in-house replacement. It buys you a year to find one in the draft, if you find that his extension negotation is too rich for your budget. They grabbed several budget mike LBs this offseason in Lee and Adams, and both were cut. I also don't think there's a single player on the defense who thinks - oh we should start AJ Klein. So to me? That's the end of the discussion. People nitpick plays he doesn't make, but ignore plays he does make as "he's supposed to do that".
  20. Cost of doing business. Tickets aren't 40 dollars anymore
  21. 100% they do this. My friends a broker and his rams tickets financed the 10k license over 6 years.
  22. 2019 bills came out and beat jets giants bengals. Also had some cupcakes in Denver and Washington that year. Just play the schedule you got and ignore the haters.
  23. Basically holding with the ball in the air, thats always PI. He made some nice plays, but I wasn't super impressed? Then again i have CMC in fantasy so i was watching through an annoyed lens. I did think hubbard looked alright though so that was a silver lining i suppose.
  24. On the replay he pulled the receivers arms and didn't play the ball. So it probably was PI
  25. I don't think benching is always a good strategy. Players can improve week to week, technique, film study etc. Motivate someone before u bench them.
