  1. Yeah - he had a rough game imo. Just couldn't figure out where he needed to be
  2. Got picked on with RPOs. LBs always look stupid on those, but they're the conflict defender. If you're in the passing lane backpedaling they're going to hand it to henry. Thats why CEH had like 200 yards against buffalo in 2020.
  3. Struggling with depth of the linebackers, too big a space between the zones in cover 2.
  4. Simmons was lined up fairly inside of dawkins shoulder at the snap. I probably do a sweep or option play there to the left. Even an RPO with the LB as the conflict - if he takes moss on the RPO you got diggs in man on a slant with a huge window.
  5. The running backs weren't the problem in this one. Routinely getting hammered at the LOS or behind. There's not much Henry could do behind the lines performance in this one. And regarding winning this most of the time? I think they played really well, and we did not execute at times especially on defense. The holding calls we got were justified - sanders, smith on TD plays. They didn't get a holding on the 76 yard TD run where they definitely held several players. Flip those calls and its probably a 2 score win.
  6. I see us losing a game they should win. be it indy, no, or carolina.
  7. They're tied for 5th in the NFL in rushing yards. And in top half in yards per carry.
  8. Yep. And buffalo still has a great shot to win with 30 seconds left
  9. Aj brown and Julio did not play in that game. They couldn't get off the field... they played like crap. Noticeable poor games by Milano and johnson.
  10. They also let people get away with stuff a lot more in the playoffs. The unsportsmanlike conduct penalties bother me the most this year tbh. 15 yards? 1st team unsportsmanlike call? warning. 2nd? Even if its a different player - ejection or 15 yards. And be a bit more consistent on what is unsportsmanlike... standing over another player isnt unsportsmanlike to me. Even spinning a ball. Its the getting in someones face stuff that ends up causing fights.
  11. 5/18 for 60 yards in the first half. I think there was a pick in there too.
  12. i feel like thats good for fake punts, or even like pooch kicks or something. How often do you even run a fake FG though?
  13. pretty much since the kicker, punter, and Long snapper all hang out together. I could see teams doing it with a core special teamer too, but most of those guys play other positions. Like i don't want neal to lose reps on defense so we can have him holding FGs for the one time we run a fake or something.
  14. Nope, he would have slid late and tried to lobby for a flag.
  15. Blocking? He can also flex out to the backfield if they are under center. I'd argue flexibility is one thing he offers, and his blocking is another.
  16. Just watching the colts completely run out of gas, it's probably a smart strategy.
  17. Phillips didn't work out, but zimmer as a PS waiver grab has turned into a solid rotational player. His athleticism chasing down mahomes on some of those scramble plays is ridiculous - mahomes seemed shocked that this DT was possibly even faster than he was.
  18. He made a nice block to clean the backside on that QB sweep. I also thought he pinned well on the Allen TD run. Pass pro wise, the end on his side was largely invisible. He can play tackle and guard, is familiar with the terminology and has started games in the NFL. Considering he's guaranteed and trade compensation will likely be 5th or later, really depends if we need the picks or not.
  19. Draft one in first 3 rounds - look at affordable UFAs - and give Jackson a shot. For me the needs are G/C, LB, CB
  20. I hate Taylor Lewan. If they can wreck his day that would be great.
  21. He made a whole thing about getting inside on their pads earlier in the night, then on the morse one he says "textbook hold". And michaels legit said - i don't know about thaaaat. The 2nd missed DPI on diggs too... "great coverage, he's having himself a game"... Michaels - looks like he pulled his arm a bit early
  22. If Brady keeps up the torrid pace he's on I'd probably throw it his way. Murray Stafford and Herbert have all had really hot starts too. At the end of the day, 5 games is 5 games. Last year he had the stats to back it up after 4 games and crashed to earth a bit facing some tougher defenses and adjustments. Injuries will happen along lines, and to skill positions etc.
  23. I'm not sure its a trend - there's still a ton of game changing players at the positions along the dline that make a lot of money. All that money makes it hard to have solid depth behind them.
  24. I don't think McD was happy with his twitter behavior before, but publicly calling out your own fans is an easy way to find your way to the dog house.
  25. After their 4 man rush got thrashed, they crowded the LOS and blitzed. Buffalo got behind the sticks 3 times in a row in the 3rd quarter with some stuffed runs and misses on 2nd downs. They picked up the 1st on the RTP after the phantom hold, and after that used the backs and boundaries to get free yards. If you crowd the LOS then you're leaving the boundaries open and forcing your players to try and make more difficult tackles. I thought their defense got away with a couple of DPI's on diggs, and Dawkins got a penalty on the drive after the special teams FF that basically derailed it. Still... 430 yards, 31 points by the O, only 20 1st downs (but several really big plays).
