  1. There were a few pretty rough ones allen had too though. I mention mahomes because everyone points to interceptable balls as a thing allen needs to improve on, but so does mahomes.
  2. He did have quite a few dropped interceptions last year, but no more than Mahomes. Hes certainly got better at throwing them away, but there were a few last year where you are like "what are you doing?!".
  3. The end result of the play is 100 yards the other way and 10-10. It means nothing either way, the team was bad that year. Just a game i was at and a memorably bad play.
  4. I looked up this game to see the season - and man... losing 13-0 to matt cassel at the end of the year in a wind storm sounds absolutely agonizing to watch. They twice punted on 3rd down in that game...
  5. He read zero blitz and threw it blindly. I don't think its all "jeff tuel is bad" either - just a poor play result that inevitably flipped the entire game around.
  6. The worst i ever saw in person was jeff tuel throwing a goalline pick 6 when stevie was wide open.
  7. Arm strength is more important for tight window throws than deep balls. Other than hail mary's, you aren't going to have enough time to throw the ball 60 yards down the field anyway.
  8. He looked alright in the 2019 preseason but i didn't see the hands in the regular season. He also missed an entire year (to no fault of his own), that definitely will put him behind on a development curve. I know nothing about becker, other than that he is a big blocking TE type, which seems to be the player they would want to keep as the 4th man on the 53.
  9. Plus i mean, you pay for insurance for a reason (and probably a lot if its a rolls royce).
  10. I figure knox is currently the starter and hollister is the #2. Gilliam's more likely a hybrid FB/TE special teamer than anything else, but they probably need the positional flexibility. If they carry 4 (they did last year - knox, kroft, smith, gilliam), then he's got a shot to be the depth option. Becker has been here for 2 years on the PS, Morris seems like a PS option as his scouting report reads project (never seen him play. Sweeney seems like the choice if his blocking is up to snuff - becker is the big blocker type so he probably does have an outside shot as the number 4 that can be used in matchups where they plan to run the ball more. Becker did play some snaps in that miami game where we ran the ball pretty well in the 2nd half with williams, something to note i suppose, but i don't remember his play specifically.
  11. Thats the thing - daboll is the man right now. Roman was the man in 2019 and didn't even get an interview last year.
  12. Don't forget the holding and late hits. Correlation does not equal causation though. There were improvements in pass protection, addition of a top level WR, as well as personal adjustments to his mechanics which seemed to result in some improvement in his accuracy. Year 3 is often when a QB starts to get it as well - I think Allen was solid in pre-snap adjustments in 2019, but the big leap was in post-snap adjustments this past season.
  13. Probably not... But how long do you keep the guy around when he's not successful?
  14. Cowboys - McCarthy is probably playoffs or bust. Giants - Not sure how long a leash judge gets if they stink again. Bears - Nagy is probably on the hot seat even if the GM bought himself some time by making the move for Fields. Raiders - How long do you keep a coach who's been consistently average to below average. Bengals - 6-25-1... when do you start winning? Vikings - Unlikely - they'd really have to bottom out. Texans - Only likely if they finish dead last. Broncos - seems inevitable with no QB. They'll swing for watson tho.
  15. If he hangs them up they can get the bonus money back. He's not going to just show up and play bad on purpose - he's either in or out. These are professional football players.
  16. Atrophy? He could be in the best shape of his life and we would have no idea. Last season the team lost phillips and lawson and replaced them with addison, jefferson, and butler. The one thing they didnt replace was 1T with the opt out, and they didnt bring in anyone this offseason either. Seems his place is fairly secure IMO.
  17. Basically we spread salary into guarantee's to 2021 and 2022. Then he opted out of 2020, so everything essentially pushes back. He'll be here this year, and honestly I'm not super worried about it because the team needs him on early downs.
  18. The last 2 kinda fit together. Could throw player scheme fit in there too. The longer you have the same scheme the more likely you are to have players under contract who fit said scheme. If you keep changing HC's you're likely changing offenses, defenses etc. You might draft a pass rushing OLB who isn't as good a fit with his hand in the dirt every play, or a guard who's big and built more for power rushing than zone.. I don't think you should get a coach to suit your roster, but it just adds to the challenges and turnover as a new coach.
  19. Last MNF game after the game I went to O'neills, i got in, took 15 minutes to get beers. And then immediately went outside for a cigarette because it was a sardine can.
  20. They're very similar QBs honestly. They never let a play die, rocket arms that can make ridiculous throws, and both can hurt you with their legs. Kelce gives an edge to Mahomes that we don't have. Beast redzone weapon, matchup nightmare, and some of the best hands in the business. Diggs vs hill - they're very different but dynamic in different ways. Diggs has superior route running, and seems to have a great feel for whats happening on the field. But Hill's speed is just ridiculous so he's a man coverage beast. I'd love to see a Kelce in buffalo's offense, but it wasn't in the cards this year. I don't think its smart to pay jonnu smith and hunter henry "kelce money" to get a vastly inferior player.
  21. Wasnt Benjamin the #1 WR in 2018? And murphy started 9 games for buffalo and was coming off a 2019 playoff game where he played pretty well all things considered. Cap space is nice but you have to replace the player too so you don't really see the full savings anyway. Not to mention in 2020 Buffalo was a contender, you don't make as many decisions with the future in mind.
  22. I think he looks good. He had that hamstring the year before, so hopefully he's building some flexibility to avoid those types of injuries. I could honestly care less about his 40 time, if he improves speed out of cuts and breaks he'll be a weapon in the passing game.
  23. I voted for the bucs. The brady history, and then the fact that they won the super bowl last year makes it a nice measuring stick game.
