Well - the oline wasn't very good last year. We're counting on development more than anything else. Spencer Brown is now a starter whithout daryl williams behind him for depth. Bates is now a starter without feliciano behind him. Bates also is now likely playing RG, where he has limited playing time. Feliciano and Williams gone as other options. Boettger won't be ready to start the season. Ford is not a good player. Neither is Hart. Who knows about Doyle. I get that they don't need to be like good players that you've heard of - they are backups. But the ones that I've seen are pretty bad. Beyond that, are we sure the starters are good? Brown struggled a ton last year. Love the attitude, but the penalties and pass pro issues could become a problem. Bates is switching sides and has like 300 career snaps. Saffolds never been an impressive pass protector.

I mean he legit pitched a perfect game at home against NE. More TDs than incompletions.

last year specifically had some pretty terrible weather games. Pittsburgh game wasn't great. Houston was a downpour to start. NE was a joke with that wind. Jets game was windy. Atlanta and Carolina were pretty lousy weather wise. Like 6/9 games had pretty minus weather.

Quessenberry helps a lot. Bates has not played enough to have earned that deal - but we had to match otherwise its a gaping hole and it would be too late in FA to address it. He didn't even play 300 snaps last year and had 3 starts at LG not RG. He goes from having dawkins to spencer brown. That's a big change in communication and skill. Saffold on the left between 2 good pass protectors helps, and he's a good run blocker. I like the attitude for Spencer Brown, and I know hes a workout machine - i just hope kromer can coach him up in pass pro a bit.

Rd 6, Pick 180 (1): Punter Matt Araiza, San Diego State

It wasn't blocked right either. Guy came in unblocked up the middle. -
A lot of his big plays they showed in highlights were horrifyingly under thrown passes. He does look to have some nice recovery on crossing routes, and I'm sure he'll be solid. At the same time, Diggs has had success against literally every player in the NFL that they put into island man coverage. The route running in the NFL is ridiculous these days - Adams, Kupp, even beyond the super plus athletes and speed. "I look forward to the competition" "Should be a battle" "he's a great player"

Yep. Lots of options on the table, but need a Klein replacement. Need someone to compete at guard. Tackle can come later to compete as well. A TE is going to be behind Knox and Howard so I don't know if they'll dress most of the time. WR will be behind diggs and Davis. So not a ton of snaps, but enough to impact. And who knows on running back.

Clearly they had him a head above the rest as they felt they needed to jump dallas. -

I'm with you. He's big enough to not get absolutely trucked in the trenchs. He's definitely caught passes before so he's got some hands. He's huge so he'll be a big target, and he can move. -
Renfrow Adams and Waller all sort of patrol the same portions of the field. Waller is also not a particularly notable red zone threat - which is I think what buffalo needs more than a Waller type.

Let’s give Antonio Brown some Million Dollar love.

Didn't he literally run off the field and take his uniform off? I assumed that was the end of the line - nobody wants a guy like that. -

Ok but - he had 3 starts last year at LG. Before that he had 0, with a couple of looks in finale games against the jets and dolphins. He's now the presumptive starter at RG, with like 0 experience at the position and a RT next to him who struggles at time in pass pro. He performed better than Boettger and Ford - is that the line we want to draw in the sand? He's better than bad? Did we run the backs THAT much better in the final 3 games of the year? I think we ran it more... often? But we weren't particularly effective at it. NE - 15 for 51 yards (22nd ranked rush defense) Atl - 28 for 149 yards (233 total with Allens yards, and this was the 27th ranked rush defense) NYJ - 24 for 96 yards (29th ranked rush defense) -
Yeah - they were bent over a barrel. County execs may as well resign if they fail though. Same with any of the local state legislature that tried to draw a line in the sand. Find a politician willing to lose their job for the good of their district. Income tax and other revenue will definitely help. I have no idea how much concessions and merchandise affect that number. I feel like legal sports gambling and marijuana will bring in a lot of extra tax revenue to offset it.

Gilmore to colts… Bills WERE interested
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Color me surprised that he was a pro bowler last year... He played 8 games! And started 3. He played 28 percent of snaps!! Honestly its probably worse than Allen getting snubbed. And don't quote me his PFF, he could be deion sanders but it doesn't matter if he barely played. -
I was in on interior line, but i sort of agree. I just don't want to wait too long either. I like the idea of a davis, but its just... so far down the list of things. How does that help us beat a KC, or Chargers? I think it helps against a patriots or colts but... the entire defensive line has changed Hate backs in the first - Hall has a lot of production which is fine... I just don't love it. LB is a sneaky need - but even with edmunds missing some time a year ago Klein only played 25% of snaps.

Exactly! Don't go chasing waterfalls out there

Oof - thats some andy dalton luck right there. In any case - Josh likely sees a better version of mac jones. Better playmakers across the board. I know last year NE was a heavy run team, but i think McDaniels will be adaptable and play to strengths as he's always done with NE - and this team will be annoying to play against as they'll just chip their way up the field.
-
He finally made the playoffs in year 8. Thea team couldn't run the ball very well at all so most of the offense ran through him. Adams, Renfrow, Waller - i think they're going to pass even more this year too. Jacobs and Drake probably get more involved in a mcdaniels offense. I think it'll look a bit like the chargers with all the short passes, and carr is equipped to do well in that style of offense.

USFL rule changes…thumbs up or thumbs down?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dont mind the 2 forward passes. It just moves those plays where the guy has to be behind the QB up, and you no longer have to judge whether he threw it forward or back, and you don't have to worry about fumbles. etc. -

How a microchip will determine down by contact, when a player gives themselves up, etc will be interesting.
