This is a tough one...because when I look at Hockenson…..I am envisioning Gronk….even his nickname will be similar Hock....but there have been a lot of TE busts taken in the 1st round and I think of Jeremey Shockey as the one big one. This draft has me all over the place in who I want at 9.

Ok don't laugh....What about Clay Matthews if the price is low....our LBs could learn a lot from him...I know he is older and not what he once was but if the price was right ...would he be a fit? He would sell a lot of jerseys. He probably wouldn't come here anyways...I assume if GB or maybe a Superbowl contender like NE doesn't sign him he will retire.

I wouldn't mind Chris Conley on a reasonable contract. He is tall, fast and strong with great vertical leaping ability.

I am thinking the same thing Augie....I think the QBs might determine if the Bills trade up or down. Murray and Haskins could push lets say Josh Allen close enough to us where it would be very tempting....or the run on QBs could entice a few teams below us to trade up to 9. If we got Josh Allen ...you could wear a dual jersey with QBs number on the front and the DEs number on the back or vice versa. Might be corny also lol

I think this is good rationale....The players I see that fit this analogy are DK and Oliver where we are picking at 9. Both could be gone or both could be there. I am not sure that Beane would gamble on Hockenson that early.

This would be a nice signing ...I don't think that this means we will take an OT in the draft at 9....I think this is more likely in a trade down scenario. It could happen but I think Beane will take more of an impact player with upside such as Oliver, DK or Hockenson rather than filling a hole on the OLine….I can see him going for an OLine in round 2 but you never know. I was a DK guy but I am starting to warm up to the idea of Oliver if he is there at 9. I think we could actually trade down to possibly as far as 15, pick up another 2nd and grab Hockenson. Love this time of year for Football.

I feel the same way Alpha....wont hate it if we get him but feel the money could be better used elsewhere. Let another team pay him #1 WR money. I already posted that I wouldn't mind Demaryius Thomas on a short term contract and Chris Conley...added together their contracts would probably be less than the one Tyrell is going to receive.

Free Agency Darryl Williams .. 1st or 2nd best FA tackle but coming off an injury....also is an ex Panther...feel he will be a Bill Demaryius Thomas...big experienced WR target for Josh Allen...somewhat injury prone but would help the younger WRs Chris Conley....under the radar...size speed strength...just needs the opportunity ...brought to my attention by Epps...like the idea Nadamukong Suh ... 2 yr deal on a reasonable contract...if not....look elsewhere D Williams will probably be on the expensive side...but Thomas, Conley and Suh, I think would be reasonably priced and wouldn't break the bank. Another poster brought Chris Conley to my attention....6'3'' 4.35 4o 45'' vertical jump 18 reps on the bench....again probably wont break the bank but could turn out to be an exceptional WR if given the opportunity. Let another team pay #1 WR money to Tyrell Williams.
