  1. Tyrod and EJ had no Presence on the field. I'm starting to feel that way about Allen now. Minnesota he had presence.
  2. The clock is ticking after that shitshow drive. I DO like allen and want him to succeed..but I might want him to start being p*ssed off with drives like that. Get angry. Someone has to be. I read it as backing allen Also, Spend SOME f**'*ING time on OFFENCE McDermott. ?
  3. Hi usabuffalofan, thanks for the post. Interesting read. I can understand the barkley mention for the future games if nothing changes. When I read Allen 'SOMEDAY will be a great QB' - this is indicative of alot of stuff fans and coaches say, that he just needs to develop to be that. I don't have the same belief that someday he will be great, based on what I've seen and am seeing.
  4. He's had quite alot of time to throw generally. Still need to make good spilt second decisions to be an elite QB. We are not seeing those good decisions.
  5. No guarantee this guy develops. I want more
  6. Awareness is exactly it. Awareness under pressure.
  7. I think 1. Allen is making a pre snap decision to go to brown. 2. Allen is worried about taking sacks and fumbling the ball. 3. Allen obviously he didn't see beasley. I cant imagine Daboll saying to go to this reciever only, could explain Allen's demeanor in his presser. There's something questionable about decision making that you are highlighting. I know it's easy with hindsight, I get that but it's almost the kind of play where Allen could do his signature spin and roll out opening up a bigger play. That would be him playing on instinct more.
  8. Winning hides everything. If we start to lose then Beane mcdermott and Daboll will be asking questions. Jobs naturally become more on the line. In terms of your assessment of Allen, I've seen some of that but I don't personally believe he is good enough and I don't think more experience is going to do it at this point. It's fine, we can have a different opinion on Allen. I think after 8 more games another assessment will be made. 26 games is a fair amount to make an informed decision on whether an insurance policy is needed. If I was beane/mcdermott and I wasn't convinced then I would be drafting a QB somewhere to come in to join Allen.
  9. Beane will not be sharing your outlook.
  10. Decide sooner rather than later whether Allen has it or not. Otherwise they go down with Allen if he's not good enough.
  11. Good Post. Interesting read. 1. Allen as a gunslinger. This goes against McDermott's nature. He wants to win games. Something is different with Allen but I'm not seeing the presence and consistency of a top QB even if he has been reigned in. 2. I get concerned that mcdermott neglects the offence. Surely as a defensive expert that qualifies you to know what's hard to defend.
  12. The very best thing the bills can do is follow their plan but draft a QB high again.
  13. I would agree but they need to act on Allen sooner rather than later.
  14. The incompetency of the last drive. We didn't look a capable team.
  15. The last drive man. That was a real sh*tshow.
  16. Answer is when their record is 8-8 or worse. That's when you start to see the plan failing. I say this aswell as judging the performance level of the team. The performances haven't fully been there yet they have a winning record.
  17. There's this whole development vs winning games thing. Why not let Allen throw to win the game for development? Mcdermott played safe to tie the game. Can't say he's wrong but there is a conflict.
  18. Good Post. Orton may well have got this team to more wins. As much as I'm not sure about McDermott I think he needs some credit for a 6-3 record. I agree that being exposed can be a good thing to an extent but it is a difficult thing to comprehend a total rebuild again. It's hard to see the bills getting better this season, at the moment anyway. You mention a new QB. Can this regime survive a QB change? I think its understandable that a project QB may not work out but will Beane and mcd be judged on Allen. And can mcdermott fire another OC, probably not.
  19. Well it was a different plan then last week against the browns 30th run D. Its a difficult one when you see beasley was open on the last play of the game. Obviously Allen decided to give brown a shot like against the jets.
  20. Mcdermott was scared at the end.
  21. Not really although the pass seemed to take ages to come down He is late. End zone to Knox a split second earlier is a TD.
  22. They make a huge difference as to taking control of a game. Such momentum shifters
